Nice to see Christian McClean in the Rovers end.

In fairness to IC, I haven't seen our defence in action in the past few games - but what I have witnessed in previous performances has been chronically bad. Is it strategy or ability? I hope the former, because you can do something about that...making elementary errors. Not paying attention and not aware of each other and the opposition. It has been painful to watch. I understand that people tend to concentrate on goal tally, but really, we need to become an organised, responsive team. I have faith in Mr Calderón - and now we can get our heads down and concentrate on the league.

Sadly I fear it's the latter not the former. I'll begin by saying let's not forget this match was against Premier League opposition, so allowances must be made. My comment is not rooted in today's first half performance alone; it is based upon the last few months cumulatively. IC is beginning to impose an identity on the way he wants the team to play, which is most welcome. That new approach will take some time to embed and will sometimes result in confusion. However, new tactics/strategy/identity doesn't account for why certain players keep making similar horrendous decisions (mistakes) over and over again. In effect some of our players are throwing the ball into our own net week after week. That's not about strategy, that's about ability (or lack of it). I just hope the owner and George Friend don't shy away from the fact that a number of our recent acquisitions are quite simply duds.

@andybees6507 Whether it's the latter or the former, Calderón has been brought in to get us out of the mess we're in. I think we should show a little faith and give him the opportunity now that 'our heads' are back in the league situation.

Beaten by a good Ipswich team, an absolutely terrible linesman who missed 3 blatant offsides, 3rd goal being at least 2 yards offside (all the players appealing to ref), 1st goal Hamadi offside when he received ball on right wing (highlights don’t show this) and a penalty that was hit so quick at close range that spun up from knees to hand / shoulder when hands were in natural position!
    Never a penalty!
    UTG
    PS Rovers too negative!

I wish you luck trying to this team around. As a life long fan I've never seen such a poor team; Matty Taylor should have been sacked months ago!

The third so called offside the ref played it onside as a rovers player touched it

Players need to want it more!! They seem to choose when to play well and when not too. No energy or passion today, showing they couldn't assed. Need to start bloody playing for the badge!! Just need to play that little extra and not just do minimal requirements. Let's see some fight!!!!!

Would have made no difference. Ipswich just light years ahead. They played their second eleven and it included jack clarke (£20m from Sunderland), Ben Godfrey (Everton and England player) and kalvin Philips who was England’s player of the year only a few years ago and who is on 150k a week plus a second choice keeper bought for 9m.
Against that quality the rovers team could have played 100 times and still lost.
