Would it be possible to swap the modules for these two? I really like the EL backlight, but the astethic of the a158. Also, would the LCD's be interchangeable between these two? TIA
I prefer the Casio B640, because it has a lot of features, a metal strap, it's water resistant to 50 meters and it is cheap. Around 20 to 30 euros, depending on where you buy it. It has a timer that can set the seconds. Which is handy for boiling eggs, for example. The backlight can function as a flash alarm for the timer and the alarm. And also for the hourly signal. And it has an auto calender up to 2099. And if you want more comfort and don't care about all those features, then the Casio A700W is better. The backlight is a beautiful amber color and the watch is only 6 mm thick. And it comes in a lot of varieties. A Milanese strap, for example. Anyway, I like the A168 a lot as well. It's backlight is one of the best on the market. The SGW100 tops it, though.
Question is - what one do you prefer? I had that negative a168 you have here in the review and sent it back but maybe I made a mistake . I am teetering on buying it again or both of these watches . It would be interesting to hear which one you actually prefer. ? Great review 🎉btw

In India, A158 $20, A168 $35. So we go for A158.

I would get the A158. Part of the appeal for these Casio digital watches is their affordability, so you may as well get the more affordable model.

Are both screens the same size? I found only 158 screen protection film online, and I need it to fit it on my 168. Many thanks
