Mine will be here tomorrow I’m getting excited to have something easier than the traditional wheelchair because I don’t have the energy to push it around my apartment because I have secondary progressive multiple sclerosis.
They have a hardwired USB port as well, it mounts to one of the rails. It’s slower than the charge port charger though. As for the egg switch, I mounted mine under the seat rail and it’s never come off, that’s certainly a personal preference as well as where you can reach, you’d think you could latch one of the controller buttons to them though like if you had the full light package, certainly an oversight on their part.
I’m getting mine very soon, fingers crossed before Christmas. Thanks for uploading your video, it has helped with my case with the insurers
the fascinating thing about these chairs is that they "only" cost 7 or 8 thousand in the brochures and then the price swells up. I hope that I am going to get a Quickie 700 up-m

I got my chair yesterday in orange. Only problem, my back is so uncomfortable. The seat is fine. Omg I need 2 pillows or another back cushion. I wonder is it possible to have that part removed and something else ordered. Does the whole thing need to be removed? Otherwise I love my chair.
Did your provider not make sure that the back was going to work? That happened to me with one of my old chairs. They didn't even make sure the back support was right! They also messed up a bunch of measurements. It's probably not the chair is much as it is the provider. By the way, I'm also getting mine in Orange when I finally do get it. They're making this process as slow as possible for me.
Also, Contact quantum or check around their website and see how best to fix your problem. Is it just the cushioning on the back?
Depending on the seat back cushion, it should come with additional foam blocks that you can manipulate to fit your comfort level. I agree this thing has all the bells and whistles yet is so damn uncomfortable to be in.
How do you get the indoor and outdoor and outdoor fast you showed your video how to push that button but when I push it it says three things choices
Do they have the charger onboard or is it separated from it and has to be carried.
This review say's it's for the Q6 edge 3.0 and then the gentleman said it's the 2.0.
Now which is it ?

Nice wheels! How does it do in the grass? What size batteries and motors do you have? I'm considering one of these as an option for my next chair
Piss pour in the grass. All the rugged tires do it dig a hole so you need a D6 to dag it out. The thing is so poorly designed, it has no room for anything other than pavement. You can put lipstick (rugged tires) on a pig and it is still a pig!
@@thesimplecripple7325 Yep, I keep to the pavement exclusively because of how easy they get stuck. The edge 3 does have a lot of great features and the ride comfort and speed are really good but for getting around in my apartment I find that my cheap Jazzy is much better suited.
Hi, I'm getting this chair hopefully next week! Are the lights very bright? Did your insurance pay for them tires or did you have to? How far can you go on a charge?
Jeremy Easterly in response to your questions. The lights are very bright. I had to pay extra for the heavier tires. My chair has been broke down for months and is finally fixed now. We have a fair amount of snow on the ground now so when it thaws I will let you know the distance I can cover on a full charge. They finally figured out the problem was a bad power controller head. The people from Quantum actually came to my home as it was basically a heavy paper weight from July through November. The symptoms were that I would see an error associated with low voltage and my batteries would instantly drain from 100% to 10% in a matter of seconds. Many, many parts were changed out and several sets of batteries before they changed out the power head joystick.

@@jeremyeasterly4428 Blackburn's did not offer me a loaner powerchair. I feel lucky if they even answer their phone anymore. Error Code 20 - Low Voltage was the code that displayed when the chair would act up. The battery charge level would go from 100% to 5% in just a couple of seconds. One time it left me stranded in my back yard and had to be rescued after being stuck for a couple hours. It wasn’t too bad as all of the other functions on the chair worked fine. I was able to recline and tilt enough to relieve pressure, I just couldn't go anywhere. Had the weather been bad or had I been somewhere other than my back yard I am certain that I would have been much more worked up over it. I would guess six or seven times Blackburn’s attempted repairing the chair until they gave up and had an engineer from Quantum evaluate and repair the chair. I was able to save a new set of batteries that were used for a little over a week throughout the fiasco that lasted nearly four months. The repair technician mentioned that they sell for $600-$700 a pair. I just keep them in their box and charge them every few weeks just in case I need them after the one year warranty is up.a

I’d like to get the heavy duty rugged tires. I didn’t know we could purchase those. Are they very expensive.
qty py The rugged and heavy duty tires are not as expensive as I was expecting. They cost roughly $50.00 each for the larger rim that is required and tire. The only downside is that the rims are not offered with the different colors like the standard rim and tires. The rugged & heavy duty tires track a lot of mud in the house but that is expected. I am very impressed with the traction they provide.

there a nice looking chair but i will never go back to quantum there build quality seems very rushed in newer chairs my new chair is a permobil m3 2021 i looked around at alot of chairs before coming to that choice
I got this chair this week but I am still having problems finding a lift to put in my truck bed because it weighs 466 pounds any ideals
I know that these chairs are very heavy. Like you, I found out the hard way. We normally would use a carrier that is attached to our vehicle via a Class III receiver hitch. We were out of our home because lightning struck our house and the chair was delivered to a local hotel where we were staying. We loaded the chair on our carrier and the vehicle was nearly dragging on the ground. We ended up using our small utility trailer to bring it home. I have done a good bit of research on the problem and have found that the only way to solve the issue is to install heavier leaf springs on our vehicle or a leaf spring kit that attaches over the existing springs on the rear of the vehicle. We have a Ford Flex (car body on an F-150 chassis) and otherwise have had absolutely no issues on the vehicle. I can’t imagine how rough it would ride if we hardened the rear leaf springs. I am not sure what the answer is for you but we decided to buy a pickup where we can use a ramp to load the chair in the back of the pickup. I guess this is a good problem to have as the other option is to not have it :)
@@thesimplecripple7325 I ended up getting a small 4'x4' trailer and reinforced the gate and extended it to act as a ramp in to the trailer.

Why is the usb a bad idea?
It was an afterthought! Carry around an adaptor to plug into the very same charging plug? a $35,000 pricetag and no USB other than the one they rigged up last second.

It is not OK to call person a cripple or a gimp, where is the review for the quantum that has lights?
I can call myself a gimp or a cripple all day long and most of the night if I please to. Also this does have the available lights.

ive had this edge for 5 years and I hate this thing! im in a chair for 32 years because of a drunk driver hit me.now about this horrible chair,ive had 4 joystick go bad,busted the bolt in the front right wheel,needed to swap the computer in the back twice,the battery life is poor and it gos 5 mph.on the good side,i like the joystick,its easy to use and its matte black.other than that.is chair is a piece of crap.soon enough im thinking of a permobil or another Invacare chair because this thing is junk
I am so sorry about what happened to you. Such bullshit to be crippled so young. I an 45 and feel like I am one of the young crowd. I guess not. Yes, these chairs are just like the rest of the DME products. Shit quality and overpriced. Everything I get for supplies and equipment is either from the 1980's era of thought or just about worthless for anyone under the age of 100. I am so tired of this junk being supplied to people that have severe disabilities. They have gotten away with it for too long!
