Thank you for your feedback! I love the MT-09, it's an awesome bike. If you have any accessories or products you would like me to review then let me know 😀
I've just downloaded this. I ride a vmax 1200. Most important to me is just seeing the route I took so that when I get home I can show my wife where I've been. I'm not really bothered about the stats as I don't think they are that accurate, they are good fun though. I have 2 main concerns; firstly it's a bit silly riding around with evidence that you've exceeded 70mph ( UK rider) and secondly, who has access to this information? It is for the latter reason that I have not actually registered myself. I just go on as a "guest" and take a screenshot when I get home before I lose it. I would like to convert from K's to M's but presume I have to be signed in to get to that setting? A great app and not Yamaha's fault that I might exceed the speed limit occasionally!
Hi, I agree you do have to be careful regarding the data it records especially when it comes to speed etc! As for settings you do have to be signed in with a profile. Then it lets you change from metric to imperial and vice versa. I guess it's just down to how careful you want to be as it records more info when you have a profile as it logs a history of your rides. Though that is useful if your following friends and want to try a particular route on your own again in future. I dont use it all the time but it is cool with some good features. Thanks for watching!
If you use a gopro it tracks most of this stuff anyway, you can download an app to extract the info and put overlays on your videos, I'm not sure it does lean angle though so that's a nice touch. I might give it a go for a bit of fun, I've actually never looked at (let alone use) the gps data from gopro files.
How does the phone calibrate the lean angle??? The phone can be in the pocket? Or it should be in a mount? I'm confused how the phone "know" the 0º lean angle to start!!!
I might be wrong but I believe it's a combination of using the gyroscope in the phone and GPS. Pretty clever however it works! I've tried it both in my jacket pocket and in a mount on my bike and seems to work fine either way. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the review. Is it correct that the app cannot be used for planning a ride? And do you know of apps that do, e.g. I want to go from a to b and then the app will suggest the nicest route? Br Anders
Hi, yeah the app doesn't allow for route planning as far as I know. I've not used any apps that do as I just use google maps. Just typed in motorbike routes on the google play store and it came up with a few so might be worth trying that. Thanks for watching!
the bmw app also shows you how much fuel you have left…I like yamaha but I don't like this...the 125 ones have that...but the big ones…? why doesn't show you how much fuel you have left? for this reason I don't buy a Yamaha...
The App, is great the only thing that doesnt work right is the speed !!! I have been using it for a couple of weeks and untill now it comes out with a AVG speed of 15 km/h and max speed around 35km/h.... no more then less... I truly dont no waths not right here :: Has anyone have had any problems like mine?
That's cool, thanks for exploring MyRide App! Keep enjoying your Yamaha MT-09 ;)

@@bikerpaul100 thanks for the reply mate. Tomorrow I'll be doing the coast ride from sennen to st Ives. From sunny ( and covid quiet) Cornwall. X
Sounds brilliant! Enjoy it
Awesome review 👍
The Mrs is shaking her head at my nurd like excitement 😁
Ha ha! Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
Thanks Paul for your review on the MyRide App I loading it up now cheers
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
The gps speed using your phone is more accurate than the speedo on a bike. They are usually calibrated to be slightly quicker than the actual speed.
Thanks very much for the review! Yes for Apple ios, looks like a cool app to try out. Safe travels :-)
Thanks! It's a great little app. Cheers for watching!

Pretty sweet tech. Not sure how failed in the gyro and accelerator is on the iPhone, but it’s nice to some telemetry

Okay thanks. I think calimoto does, I found 👍
Hi. The 'lean angle' on most rides is inaccurate, any ideas?
How could it be accurate? Unless on a level road/track ...unless gps has ALL the slopes and cambers on file for every foot of every road?
I have installed this app numerous times & it never ever works for me (Huawei P30 pro) so well specked phone. pity as it looks great.
