Hi Yvonne, as you were making this I was thinking it would be really cool to make the top of the tree your family by writing really tiny on each bead the. Name of a family member. And so on or start with a grandparent one your side of the family and then on the other side of the tree your husbands side of the family starting with great great or great grandparents. That would be something special to keep. Beautiful tree can’t wait to see what is next.

I like your method from top down to root, others do it from the roots up and it seems to take them longer. Yours is more efficient. I think there is room for efficiency in art. 😊

Wow, i wish the proper measurements were laid out first. Length of strand and how much wire. Rough measurements would have been fine. Plus no instructions about root options. I was left with no wire for roots, plus I wasnt sure how to make the roots as i went along...

I am like that about the wildlife in my yard too. I want to protect the ones I call "my" regulars at the bird feeder. I call them mine too and feel the same way. There is a catbird that nests in the clump of bushes next to the driver's side door of my car every spring. He (or she? I don't know) no longer fusses at me when I have to go anywhere. If anyone else gets near that group of bushes, he fusses at them.

Von. If you get a chance look up a guy on TH-cam his name Kevin Iris. He has devoted his time for many years to making his trees. The time and work are just fantastic. I have watched these videos and wondered if he will become one of those forgotten starving artist. He is a great "maker".

Thank you so very much for this video. I have now made 3 trees and am getting better each time. I just have ine major problem though. How do you mount them. I have 1 attached to a shell, another to a rock and the third I want to put on an amethyst cluster. I don't have any glued down. What glue would you recommend? Any suggestions would be extremely helpful. I have been searching and can't find anyone willing to help me. I am to afraid to experiment with just any glue.

Well, I just finished my first wired tree with beads. Its setting in some resin for now, as soon as it dries enough, I'll take a picture. Its not perfect, and the resin has a few bubbles, I have more to learn, like don't do such a big project in 2 days.

I know that this may be the most random comment....I have a number of vintage wire trees, the largest being a foot or more tall. I am not sure how to store them while I don't have them set out for decoration. Does anyone have any ideas of the best, safe way to store them? Right now the are in my closet but that still allows for dust and what not. Thanks :)

Miss Rzhrt That sounds beautiful. I'm having a bit of a hard time with the choice of m.o.p. chips because it looks like an old teeth tree. 😸 I think rose quartz would be cool for a cherry blossom tree. Oh, the possibilities.

Tipsy Gypsy well if it’s a less jagged look you could you want I recommend going with a 2-3 mm bead I think Fire Mountain Gems Website should have them I haven’t seen the new catalog
