You are doing a great job. Specially this last videos are very inspiring for me. Last month I had to sell my last multitrack tape machine. And man... tape is part of who I am. I can't stop thinking about buying at least an 8 track machine.
I started recording with tape and used tape only until 2008 when I sold my 24 track MCI. Now I have 3 tape machines but 2 need work. I have been trying to learn more about working on them but I knew quite a bit from owning the MCI.
@@TwinCreekAudio there is no substitute to a real tape machine. For me it sounds like a multiband limiter / enhacer that makes anything sound much better instantly. Also the workflow is much better, easier, faster and I don't have to be sterring a screen 8 ours a day
@@bernardomanzoli7603 I love tape but I definitely still use digital. Otherwise TH-cam videos about analog gear wouldn't be possible. Analog is my favorite and I like the workflow. Even when I'm using digital, I'll use a hybrid workflow with my analog console and outboard gear.
@@TwinCreekAudio yeah, me too. Specially in pre production, to be able to copy and past music parts. And during mixing stage to be able to recall / free up tape to be reutilized
Cool video Grady. I see you have an Otari MX70 16 trk. I just finished restoring mine myself and I really love it. Hope you do a video on yours. Cheers

I plan on restoring this one and making some videos with it but I am still looking for a CB-117 remote. Hopefully I'll get it working one day soon.
I hope you find one. Cheers
