  • This massive impressive 1957 Olds ninety eight has a most luxurious dash.
I love how you have the hub caps spring loaded. Never seen that before on an automobile.
What do people like most no a days. old rides or new muscle cars?
Seeing something this old kept around as years pass by on our lives. Hmmmm

My dad had a 57 Holiday coupe, two tone green. He bought it off a friend in 1962 and kept it about 6-7 years. It was the first car I drove when I got my license in 66. Most everyone was getting into hot rods and muscle cars then but the Olds still got a lot of compliments.

What a beautiful car this is. When I was growing up, my dad had a 1957 Oldsmobile two door hardtop that was light green, but had no air conditioning. He also had a 1958 Oldsmobile Fiesta station wagon that was blue and white with air conditioning, our first car with it. I liked the looks of the 1957 better than the 1958, but in the hot and humid summers, it was nice riding in the station wagon with A/C!!!

I have always loved Olds as my Dad did and my first was a 1967 Vista Cruiser. Thank you SO much for the show and tell. I subscribed because of the hot girls pleading first, and then the Hot cars! LOL!

Born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. My grandad worked for R.E. Olds as a personal engineer. I thought I'd give you a point of interest on your car. Both Olds and Buick bought into the three-window back window in '57 - 58. Those triangle windows were supposed to roll down to give a positive ventilation through the cabin. The engineer couldn't make them work in time for production and was fired because of his failure.

Stunning, can I ask something, what is the difference between 98 and the 88 rocket oldsmobile, also what is the Holiday version of Olds all about? Perhaps u coukd do that explanation in a video showing the differences. Thanks in advance

Our family of 4 had a Super 88 2 dr. sedan(not hardtop) with the base engine we have on home movies. This is a BEAUTIFUL car, but I have ONE criticism and only one. Take the after-market exhaust extensions off and let the exhaust flow through the bumper like they did from the factory. It's an easy fix. The chrome extensions in my book cheapen the overall look of the car and just scream AFTERMARKET or GHETTO. I'll let it go at that. This coming from the closest thing to an automotive purist you'll ever meet and is meant as constructive criticism.
P.S. I'll bet the judges at a show may have something or some kind of remark to make about them and I don't think it would be positive. Pease, take my advice and make this minor modification before you show it.
