Gi-hun basically sentenced most of his side to death in pursuit of his mission. He lost sight of why he was doing this, and what separated him from the Front Man. But I guess he was broken by trying so desperately the whole time to save everyone, and despite everything he did, most of these people gave in to desperation and vile acts of violence and cruelty. Maybe at one point, he realized he wasn't gonna save everyone. How could he, if they don't want to be saved? But the problem is, and maybe it hasn't sunk in for him yet, the people on his side WANTED to be saved. They chose life... and Gi-hun ended up knowingly leaving them to die. Maybe that's what the Front Man wanted Gi-hun to see from his perspective: "You can't save them all, because you can't defy human nature, or how the world works. They won't let you save them, and you'll just end up getting them killed. You can only save yourself."
This whole season was a clash of ideals. The Front Man's actor confirmed a part of him wanted Gi-hun to be right. Gi-hun lost as soon as he made that decision.

Gi-hun is a villain in my oppinion, who's too blind to see this. 1. He kept stealing money from his mom to gamble. 2. He canceled his mom insurance so she could not take care of herself. 3? in season 1, game 6, he tried to trick the old man into losing. Unless if he specifically was thinking about his mom, this was a 100% evil move 4. When he won squid games, he gave up seeing his daughter to seek revenge. 5. he risked the lives of people around him to try to kill the front man at the end of season 2. There's probably more, but I wanted to only focus on stuff that he was absolutely in the wrong for.
tricking 001 in season 1 wasn't evil or a villainous move in my mind. Is it scummy? Sure. But it's also a life or death situation and we all have a duty of self preservation. Sang-woo showed us this, as did Deak-su several times. Until you're in the exact situation, all anyone can do is speculate what you would do. Being selfish is not the same as being evil.
Gi Hun had very solid plan - lets sacrifice people (whom he tries to save as he said), collect few guns, go to who knows where, against who know how much enemies, to do something) I was so shocked when this flawless plan failed!

I’m a little biased because I don’t really like action scenes with gun fighting but it is a natural avenue for the plot. We can’t just have another season 1. I still felt we got to know and love characters in the same way but we didn’t lose as many which makes it less emotionally devastating but I imagine we will lose more of our core group in the next season but still not as much obviously because they won’t complete the whole squid games and have a sole winner this time. I think they knew they needed to include a few games because that’s what we want to see and then had to split it up into 3 seasons so we can have both the games and an uprising. Hope to see more Jin-ho next season 🤞🏻

Many people think the past has nothing to do with them, but it is always happening again with you. Humans might be helpless. That's why you should pay more attention to environment or system, rules whatever you call it which drives you into reckless decision, rather than only blaming individuals who did stupid thing. There's probably more, but I wanted to only focus on stuff that he was absolutely in the wrong for.
tricking 001 in season 1 wasn't evil or a villainous move in my mind. Is it scummy? Sure. But it's also a life or death situation and we all have a duty of self preservation. Sang-woo showed us this, as did Deak-su several times. Until you're in the exact situation, all anyone can do is speculate what you would do. Being selfish is not the same as being evil.
Gi-Hun is kinda like an antihero he does wants people to get eliminated but he also becomes emotional for them.
Gi Hun had very solid plan - lets sacrifice people (whom he tries to save as he said), collect few guns, go to who knows where, against who know how much enemies, to do something) I was so shocked when this flawless plan failed!
I wasn't. That plan was never going to work, especially with the snake(Frontman) in their group.

I like the fact you at least don't ONLY hate Min-su and defend Gi-hun. Min-su's a coward but Gi-hun is just as responsible for her death. All he had to do was warn them, "fight back" but he let them be butchered.

I’m a little biased because I don’t really like action scenes with gun fighting but it is a natural avenue for the plot. We can’t just have another season 1. I still felt we got to know and love characters in the same way but we didn’t lose as many which makes it less emotionally devastating but I imagine we will lose more of our core group in the next season but still not as much obviously because they won’t complete the whole squid games and have a sole winner this time. I think they knew they needed to include a few games because that’s what we want to see and then had to split it up into 3 seasons so we can have both the games and an uprising. Hope to see more Jin-ho next season 🤞🏻

This is what all the minorities throughout human history have experienced when they sacrificed themselves to change the world. Many people think the past has nothing to do with them, but it is always happening again with you. Humans might be helpless. That's why you should pay more attention to environment or system, rules whatever you call it which drives you into reckless decision, rather than only blaming individuals who did stupid thing.
Thus, we need to question 'what we obey with no wonder' and shouldn't attack people just because they disagree with the majority opinion.

Most Korean guys are former soldiers, and even after being discharged from the military, they are required to go to a training range three times a year and receive shooting training.

If Hillary had been elected, people who supported Trump would have just gone home upset, but if Trump was elected, some people's lives would face a major crisis (immigrants, Hispanics, etc.)
I don't really have any ill feelings toward Trump, but this is a blind spot in democracy.
