So beautiful and I love learning from you. I am learning at 73 and you are a good teacher. I watch you and Debbie Walker and Dianne Anton among a few others and really appreciate the time you all put into teaching us this beautiful medium that I love. There is nothing like watercolor. It is, I believe, the most difficult medium, but the most beautiful when mastered.❤
I never realised how painstaking it can be, to paint a hibiscus flower. What I've learnt from you is to wait patiently and go back repeatedly to add more detail, instead of trying to do it all in a rush in the first round. Thank you, Emma, for your lovely and immensely helpful video tutorials!
WOW! Emma!! You say you prefer to work loose. But you absolutely nailed this gorgeous flower 🌺 I’m so impressed and inspired!! Thank you for this tutorial. I’ve never used masking fluid. Now I feel a bit more confident about trying!! I found your channel at Christmas and you’ve been a gift ever since!! Thank you 😊
Hi Emma its so lovely to spend time with you watching painting beautiful Hibiscus Flower. thank you so much Teaching us I really appreciated. I Just did my drawing today Tomorrow I will watch you again this video and Paint.Thank you Sharon, Surrey BC
Great video ..with your help this kind of flowers is a lot easier for me than the loose ones …thank you and I am waiting for another type of realistic flower
It's beautiful Emma!!! Love it!!! A tip for the masking fluid is to swirl your wet brush into a bar of soap to coat it and that helps keep most of the masking fluid off the brush. It also helps your brush last a little longer before you need to replace it. 😊
I have taken just ordinary Dove or any soap and coated my brush with the soap before I dip it in Masking Fluid……and it totally works to protect your brush and the masking fluid washes right off. ( but I still would never use a good brush to apply masking fluid) Very nice job on the hibiscus 🌺
I don't use masking fluid At all anymore- but- It Reminds me of rubber cement when you peel it. I just decided, if I do "lose" my white, a gel pen works good enough, usually.
Hi there...please help!! I started this tutorial with you, but my paper is all wilting and the paint isn't blending nicely. I don't think i used too much water, but maybe. I don't think the paper is right and this upsets me because it's a watercolour kit and the paper came with it. What do you suggest I do?
Regarding the subject of using soap to prevent the masking fluid from ruining your brush too much: it's bar soap that you would put on the brush beforehand. Load it up with a good bit of soap, DO NOT RINSE IT, let it dry, and I kid you not the masking fluid will come right off.

Use bar soap to load the brush before using the masking fluid and it will protect your brush and rinse out well.

Which type of your paint brush, sis?
What type brush is that ? Brand name and size ?
❤❤❤
How do I get info on your brushes?
Emma , where are your brushes sold ?

I am struggling to find masking fluid that is not latex. I am allergic to latex so can’t use it.
I see lots of options online. There’s one called Pabeo’s Drawing Gum available at a number of places including Amazon.
my problem tho is A I an a terrible sketcher and B i wouldnt be able to see the lines if they were too light.
Early!
Hello beautiful
