@Ph8ck good question, it cools the smoke, chnaging it isnt too nessecary (but one time i was smoking in front of a fire place and was changing the ice that was melting every 5 min in my small hookah otherwise the clouds were tiny) but a cooler smoke is nice, but some people dont like it because it takes away from the flavor.so i tend to put it in, but not to change it

@shaunnoel No but it does make the smoke a lot cooler, its most effective if you are smoking outside in a hot day. It cools off the smoke because with out it the smoke will be hot and not enjoyable!

@taxxxa74 Yes you can. The charcoal in the vid is not good because it ignites easy which means loads of chemicals. Best charcoal is lime or coconut tree because they last longer than other types of wood.

Im kinda new to waterpipe, so i was just wondering what temperature on the water is best for thick and tasty smoke? I've heard people say warm water gives more taste, but after watching some vids on youtube, they all use cold water. Thanks for tips :)
The best coals are Fantasia they have a little piece cut out of the bottom and they almost never make it hit harsh, and just saying you put a lot of holes in the foil. P.s. you don't have to cut out a circle it doesn't help at all just rip of a piece n fold it into a square with the shiney side down.
Quick lighting coals have a chemical in them 2 speed up the process im sure, so letting them burn it our and light fully seems wise. You can smell it when they are first lit
quick tip if you keep the coals away from the middle and keep them around the edge of the bowl you will have a longer lasting and smother smoking session it may take the shisha a little longer to start up but it will be worth it. and it also wont taste burnt

Ok, now let me correct your points: 1. that's called a heba diffuser and it gives you a smoother draw and quieter pull, so yes it does help :) 2. Star Buzz tobacco needs to be packed loosely as it needs good airflow. 3. Actually due to the lower burning temperature of quick-lights the bigger the holes the better as they allow for more heat to enter into the blow and more evenly cook the tobacco, also ash management is all that is needed to stop ash from entering the blow.
with stuff that is .05 its pretty mild, i dont get anything anymore because i smoke so much of it, but back in the day i got a tingly buzz that wasnt that strong or shocking for the first 5 min of smoking then it faded. other shishas have .3 or even .5 and those still give me a hella strong buzz for a few then dizzy for a while. those are much stonger, be warned, happy smoking
it just seems pretty obv. heres how you do hookah: step one, buy natural coals (coconara), heat them on a stove for ~10 min, flip them part of the way through so they are fully red and glowing. sprinkle the shisha in the bowl with your fingers breaking it up, to just below the rim. add 1 sheet of hd foil, or 2 of regular and poke it with a lot of small holes (pin or toothpick). add the coals on top, smoke on. what is your current set up/ any questions?

A brass antique hookah personally i wouldnt smoke with it that should be a collectors piece. But if you do really just want to use that people would have to know more about it, like is the bowl brass as well and deep if so its more for smoking thraditional tombak without foiland coals right on to the shisha

This is how it works, You light up the flavor as shown in the video, with the charcoal, and when you suck through the hose, the steam goes down into the water then comes to your mouth very very clean with an awesome taste.
The water cools the smoke and provides filtration. The main point of smoking hookah is to provide a healthier, tastier, relaxing smoke. If you want nonfiltered, harsh smoke just go pick up a pack of Marlboros. :P Normal coals aren't well-suited for the task, and would burn much hotter. It would burn the shisha and make the smoke harsh. You can use normal aluminum foil, but the specially-cut foils are cheap and MUCH easier to manage.

This does not get you "high". It does however provide a buzz similar to that of most nicotine products. It is much healthier due to the fact that the smoke is water filtered.
It's just flavored tobacco, although most of the tobacco tends to have around 0.05% nicotine in it(Starbuzz being one), but it's not like you will get addicted to it or anything.

I put the ice in there to help further cool the smoke down (apart rom water alone) and it helps to provide thicker, smoother smoke.
It won't dry out if its placed out of the bag and in the tin?

try lighting your coals on the stove. just hold the coal with the tongs and put it over the stove. very helpful:)

Yes you do inhale it. It's hookah, not a cigar.
Inhaling and exhaling gives you a fuller flavor then just mouth puffing.
