Man I wish I could play in this campaign with you guys... And I'm sure I'm not the only one. Yes I have the drakkenheim campaign, but I'm talking about playing with this group specifically. I have nothing but praise for this live play

Honestly some of the most enjoyable role play has happened tonight, which is saying so much considering the very high bar you guys have set over the course of the past few years or so. All the suspense, all the build up, all the thrill of the hunt that has lead us to this gasconade was so worth the wait and you guys have pulled it off flawlessly as always!!
It is funny to think about how having a good night sleep just mends broken bones and heals you over night haha. It would be interesting to have a game where earlier in the campaign adventurers are used to that being the norm, but an artifact or "life crystal" of great power gets destroyed or is stolen and the rules for rests and healing change to the "gritty" ruleset.

These pipe playing monsters are tendricles of enve bigger monster that fills the etherial plane. That world threatening great monster is what we wish to kill in our future adventures. But that's a fight on antoher day where we need the ingantius and perhaps even all parties gathered. That will be a mighty duel and the trophies to come. Do you wish to handle this mere instruments we draw from them? You may see a glimpse of what we fought on them.
My bet: this is all still the Queen of Thieves. The purpose wasn't to kill or necessarily even hurt anyone, but to COMPLETELY distract them so that she can do what she actually wants to without interference. And so far, it's working
Or not, no crowns are paw to obey it's better for her and the alchemist orginazation and the mage guild to have no king faction so they only have the priest faction to fight
idk seems a bit of a stretch to say it was all the Queen of Thieves. What I think is more likely is that one of the 7 Archmages of Drakkenheim is responsible for this because you have to remember, the Academy has sealed off the Elven Lighthouse in Ash Bay, plus it would be kind of weird if all members of the Directorate were neutral in this conflict

For the dungeons of drakkenheim book such a great campaign, so cool how players could choose to support any faction each filled out with great lore and characters. Also so cool how the delirium theme is across all the classes and none feel left out. Truly this is one of the best campaigns ever and so much more as you’ve created this from scratch great job Monty
The way I view the Elyrians even with their Bible Belt southern speech is as Spaniards, of the Spanish Inquisition. I view the Caspians more as Scottish, then French. Notably, the Scotsman from Samurai Jack.
Elyria looks like a mix of English and Iberic because of their names combinations i think (Anita, Ofelia but then Reed and Marshall) and also their accent not giving much spanish vibes, but with Ilyria being warmer and more church institution gives Spain

I can't believe the Jackson 3 didn't mention Big Linda teleporting or vomiting zombie ratmen. She probably has a few still lining the inside of her mouth to show. That's the cool stuff. Or showing the queen how nasty Big Linda is by using the worm's delerium to revive her but in the process fusing them into an even more hideous monster. That'd be really cool.

Sebastian and Wilhelm are just the absolute worst in debates. Pluto was on a roll and had King Joplin eating out of the palm of his hand before Wilhelm had to interject and slam on the brakes. The whole point of the bragging was to say why your trophy is the best, but literally all Wilhelm or Sebastian could do was try to downplay Uriel's trophy and attack his character. He points out that the silver order went for the dragon but didn't get it, leaving the party open for rebuttal since they knew about the dragon before the duel and chose to go after something smaller. Could have gotten our team slammed on cross-examination
I get it, their worm was bigger than Linda’s head but… They were forced to bring the head and only the head because they wouldn’t be able to fit Linda inside the building. It would have taken many dozens of men to just bring the body out of the immediate area, it would be nigh impossible to bring it inside the castle walls within the time allotted via a caravan of carts rigged together etc. No competition needed because there’s simply no comparison.
Example - if someone had brought a 30’ tooth or eyeball, one would simply surmise by logic reasoning and deduction that the creature it came from would be MUCH larger. Agree?
The party made this a lot more complicated than it needed to be, not only that BUT…they also had a perfect opportunity to silence the Paladins. Do better guys, just saying 😏

I was hoping the whole Gasconade would be done during this episode, but it's better for the players if they have a week to prepare for it. Like, they kinda new about the boasting and all that, but I don't think they knew the actual mechanics behind it.
I envision Veo as the little spoon in the cuddle huddle, being awoken a few times at night with Sebastian stuffing her pillowy-fur into his mouth and finally, stiffening his cries.
Venus Joplin did not sound very charmed. I'm really hoping Pluto builds up what Wilhelm previously stated about Pluto, acting as bodyguard to Sebastian, fought the worm and sent it fleeing while he valiantly and stoically remained by the mage's side. Played well that is a big blow against the trophy of the worm. Pluto's personality might sell that better than Wilhelm's.
Nope in that city you need to have a live spouse to be a guard or elected leader. All of the city works & defence are attunement items requiring 6 slots of one person and wizards don't often like being tied down like that. The enchantment recognises spousal privilege though.
The stakes for losing this are so high, brutal cliffhanger. I really hope Wilhelm will start stepping up soon! Also, mechanically speaking, panache is really starting to seem extremely situational and underwhelming.
I give props to Monty... He does a great job at making most of the political leaders of this world absolutely insufferable. Uriel and King Joplin especially sound incredibly punchable. Lol.

Absolutely wondrous performance by you guys tonight!! Honestly some of the most enjoyable role play has happened tonight, which is saying so much considering the very high bar you guys have set over the course of the past few years or so. All the suspense, all the build up, all the thrill of the hunt that has lead us to this gasconade was so worth the wait and you guys have pulled it off flawlessly as always!!

It is funny to think about how having a good night sleep just mends broken bones and heals you over night haha. It would be interesting to have a game where earlier in the campaign adventurers are used to that being the norm, but an artifact or "life crystal" of great power gets destroyed or is stolen and the rules for rests and healing change to the "gritty" ruleset.

These pipe playing monsters are tendricles of enve bigger monster that fills the etherial plane. That world threatening great monster is what we wish to kill in our future adventures. But that's a fight on antoher day where we need the ingantius and perhaps even all parties gathered. That will be a mighty duel and the trophies to come.

My bet: this is all still the Queen of Thieves. The purpose wasn't to kill or necessarily even hurt anyone, but to COMPLETELY distract them so that she can do what she actually wants to without interference. And so far, it's working

idk seems a bit of a stretch to say it was all the Queen of Thieves. What I think is more likely is that one of the 7 Archmages of Drakkenheim is responsible for this because you have to remember, the Academy has sealed off the Elven Lighthouse in Ash Bay, plus it would be kind of weird if all members of the Directorate were neutral in this conflict

The first time they said the name of the challenge I thought it was Gastonade like an allusion to Gaston from Beauty and the beast being boisterous. Learning it was gasconade I was a Lil sad

For the dungeons of drakkenheim book such a great campaign, so cool how players could choose to support any faction each filled out with great lore and characters. Also so cool how the delirium theme is across all the classes and none feel left out. Truly this is one of the best campaigns ever and so much more as you’ve created this from scratch great job Monty

The way I view the Elyrians even with their Bible Belt southern speech is as Spaniards, of the Spanish Inquisition.
I view the Caspians more as Scottish, then French. Notably, the Scotsman from Samurai Jack.
Elyria looks like a mix of English and Iberic because of their names combinations i think (Anita, Ofelia but then Reed and Marshall) and also their accent not giving much spanish vibes, but with Ilyria being warmer and more church institution gives Spain

Or showing the queen how nasty Big Linda is by using the worm's delerium to revive her but in the process fusing them into an even more hideous monster. That'd be really cool.
They did bring up the rat vomit a bit later and also, the worm had all of its delirium destroyed by the paladins

Dang, Monty really missed the opportunity to make it canon that the citizens of Westemar are referred to as "WesteMARTIANS". He was so close too; only off by a single letter T. A perfect opportunity, SQUANDERED. I suppose "Westemarians" is fine too though.

Sebastian and Wilhelm are just the absolute worst in debates. Pluto was on a roll and had King Joplin eating out of the palm of his hand before Wilhelm had to interject and slam on the brakes. The whole point of the bragging was to say why your trophy is the best, but literally all Wilhelm or Sebastian could do was try to downplay Uriel's trophy and attack his character. He points out that the silver order went for the dragon but didn't get it, leaving the party open for rebuttal since they knew about the dragon before the duel and chose to go after something smaller. Could have gotten our team slammed on cross-examination
took a whoooole 4 minutes for wilhelm to bring up a rule.
I get it, their worm was bigger than Linda’s head but…
They were forced to bring the head and only the head because they wouldn’t be able to fit Linda inside the building.
It would have taken many dozens of men to just bring the body out of the immediate area, it would be nigh impossible to bring it inside the castle walls within the time allotted via a caravan of carts rigged together etc.
No competition needed because there’s simply no comparison.
Example - if someone had brought a 30’ tooth or eyeball, one would simply surmise by logic reasoning and deduction that the creature it came from would be MUCH larger.

The party made this a lot more complicated than it needed to be, not only that BUT…they also had a perfect opportunity to silence the Paladins.

I was hoping the whole Gasconade would be done during this episode, but it's better for the players if they have a week to prepare for it. Like, they kinda new about the boasting and all that, but I don't think they knew the actual mechanics behind it.

Venus Joplin did not sound very charmed. I'm really hoping Pluto builds up what Wilhelm previously stated about Pluto, acting as bodyguard to Sebastian, fought the worm and sent it fleeing while he valiantly and stoically remained by the mage's side. Played well that is a big blow against the trophy of the worm. Pluto's personality might sell that better than Wilhelm's.

Nope in that city you need to have a live spouse to be a guard or elected leader. All of the city works & defence are attunement items requiring 6 slots of one person and wizards don't often like being tied down like that. The enchantment recognises spousal privilege though.

Kelly needs a monocle to wear with his eyepatch. Something about the glasses feels off, and a monocle would totally suit his vibe (and Wilhelm's lol)

I’m assuming English isn’t your first language. We would pronounce it the same either way. No matter what vowel we use, “on” “en” “in” “an” would all make the same sound if you put it in that word.
