Yea go for it. Not the best beach, but nice little park all in all. Coming from Hamilton it's nice not to drive through Toronto to get there. Is that Freeza from the new series?

Hey! I have loved watching your videos. Thank you for taking the time to film so much of them. Do you have suggestions on where to go as a first time camper? I have considered the Bruce Peninsula as it seems like a good mix of busy/wilderness. Any suggestions would be great. I would like to get away for a few days this spring/summer. I am in the GTA.

Hi Chelsea, all depends on what you want to do. Bruce Pen. Is very busy, I am avoiding it now during peak season. First time camper, maybe just go to Lake Erie and enjoy the beach and not driving through Toronto.

The lake level a have been high in recent years since the outlet dams at Cornwall were raised by about 1 metre. Everyone notices this, it's leaving shorelines higher than they have been since 1958, the levels set after Hurricane Hazel in 1954. Everything built to the old 1958 level is now seeing higher water, and is prone to flooding with spring melt and rains. We visited Toronto Island last year '19, to find it within inches of swamping over, L. Ontario was so high, and happening again this year. They are not letting enough water out of the lakes, the effects are seen over the whole system.

Rock Point is on Lake Erie which has no dam. The water leaves it two spots, free flow over Niagara falls or hydro intakes and second a smaller amount through the Welland Canal. Yes, the whole system is higher with some increased rainfall and a few good ice years. Lake Ontario is damned, but they cant let it all out at once as it will flood Quebec and mess up shipping.
