cool video, i like how you are not just stating some facts but also theorizing.
hudzell made a video about parkour reborn called "when will parkour reborn come out?" and he mentioned gears
he sorta explains what the gear categories are SUPPOSED to do
here is what purpose they serve:
CORE: the "core" of your gameplay, changes your basic moveset
AUGMENT: "augment" your playstyle with standalone movement mechanics/abilities
COMPOUND: basically less powerful augment, but way more gimmicky
UTILITY: miscellaneous stuff, less specific more basic general-usage items to give your playstyle an extra touch or provide conveniences
zipline hook has 2 level upgrades.
level 1: you can ride zip lines upwards like mag rail from legacy.
level 2: you can create a zip line by throwing out the rope in front and behind you then you can ride the zip line you created upwards or downwards, when you touch the ground or reset your ammo the zip line you created will despawn, when the zip line is created other players can ride on it, pull on it and swing on it before the zip line despawns. (the zip line you can create has a limited range)
Gears List:
Core: Glove, Drifter Glove and Climber Glove
Augument: Grappler, Swing Grappler, Yank Grappler, Mag Rail, Charge Rail and Launch Rail (Mag Rail Will Function Differently In Reborn)
Compound: Zipline Hook, Moniternized Zipline Hook, Zipline Kit, Wing Suit, (Wing Suit May Come Out Cause Hudzel Said In A Old Stream He Will Add It, Meaning That It Will Most Likely Be A Gliding Gear) Boost Belt, Dash Belt and Launch belt.
Utility: Spyglass (I Believe That Spyglass May Be Added) and Arc Lantern (Arc Lantern Has 1 Level Upgrade)

drifter glaive (maybe faster attack?)
enforcer glaive (probably higher damage?)
mechanized zipline hook (probably the one that lets you go up ziplines)

its kinda wierd to me that grappler got the ability of mag rope while mag rail seems to be having one of its abilities removed and assigned to a different gear, the mag rail would have to be seriously overpowered to justify that
and also, boost belt? bro that was my fangame gear concept 😭 why does this always happen (other people get the same ideas as me before i tell anyone about them, so now it seems like im copying others)
good video, just a piece of advice, take a few takes for each part, split the script into parts have a few takes of each part separately and then get the best take and use that because you stutter (I don't mind but stuttering heavily impacts watch time and subs)

For material, it’s actually called launch rail, I was in a server with down and he used it. It had the same noise as legacy magrail. You’ll just have to trust me on this one.

quick thing: swing lvl 1 either does nothing or increases range, lvl 2 lets you swing infinitely on swing points, and lvl 3 gives you 2 ammo and lets you swing on anything. this was shown in spwbs most recent livestream

Hudzell spoke about all stages of the swing grappler on stream and we add only official information from dev or social media

all gears uhhh and their purpose
Glove (2 Types/Upgrades), Core Gear
Base glove = Higher WallClimb, Faster But Lower Wallboost
Drifter Glove = 3 Wallruns
Climber Glove = 2 Wallclimbs
Each has 2 uprade paths that just make them better
Moving On To Augment Gear
There are 4 augment gears we know about which are
Swing Grappler (Most Known)
Grappler
Yank Grappler
And Magrail
Swing grappler allows you to swing on walls, fences, objects, etc instead of ziplines and red boxes around the area
Yank grappler is normal grappler but strongerp ulls and more pulls, According to HighLand here, Yank grappler is just the base grappler but on steroids.
Grappler is weaker yank and the main source to leading for yank and swing
Mag rail currently has no information right now LOL
Moving on to consumeables
They are adreanline belt or booster belt and bloxy cola or some medic kit whatever
Adreanline/Booster belt allows you to move faster and heal a little bit faster (maybe) like in legacy, might also make certain mechanics quicker meaning you have to have faster reaction time
Compound Gears are augment gears but less powerful but also enchances certain things
Utilty Gear is just the arc lantern which will brighten up certain districts when in nighttime like dirwik, asylum, etc

I think that mag level 1 allows you to bounce off walls
Mag level 2 allows you to wallrun further if use while wallrunning
Mag level 3 would allow you to reset your ammo with a keybind or Smth

@@hemmylol it’s from spwbs inventory from his live streams
a lot of details in this video are incorrect, small things about what specific gears do or which upgrades do what, but their main concepts were made apparent so like, shrug
only other things to actually add to this:
- The Glaives upgrade paths are the "Enforcer" and "Drifter" Glaives, we don't know what either do but most people assume the first will be the combat focused version and the second will be the movement focused one
- There are other Utility gears we know of, but they are consumables that take up your Utility slot, those being Bloxy Cola and Adrenaline
- The "Zipline shooting gear" is just an upgrade path of the Zipline Hook, with the other being the riding up ziplines upgrade mentioned in the video
