- So, my previous STUDIO vs LIVE performance video got quite a number of viewers (over 50k within 2 weeks!).
Overwhelmed by its progress I decided to make another video of the same concept BUT, this time instead of ENGLISH, the INTERNATIONAL Disney Princess voices shall be featured in the video.
The question remains the same - Who SLAYED the live performance, and who seemed more like a studio creation?

The last live version by Sohyang was not even a concert. She did that part spontaneously upon request at a press conference. You have to become a fan when you hear her voice in person, period.

Holy crap. I'm super impressed with how they found people in each country that conveys each princess' personality in their culture. If I weren't looking, I would've freaking thought that the Cantonese Build a Snowman, Hindi For the First Time, Korean How Far I'll Go, Vietnamese Let It Go, a few others I don't recall of the top of my head were done by the original singer! The Finnish Let It Go is also freaking amazing, and sounds really mystical cause it's a northern European language; goes extremely well with the setting.

Yes! This is something that I've often loved about Disney. They find people with the same "sound" in multiple languages.
The last part... Southkorea singer....wow great.
poseidon Kevin If you liked that, then you should watch more So Hyang performances. She's all over TH-cam and even has some English covers. What she sang live there is nothing for her.

Shlomit is such a gem I love her warm voice.
Ju still has a pretty voice I like her vibrato a lot.

Edyta is FANTASTIC! I have nothing more to add she sounds gorgeous.
Alexandra (i love this song btw) already sounded so beautiful and live she sounded so raw and emotional.
Lara, Canada's gem as Esmeralda. She still kills it, she will always kill it, I love her with all my heart.
Kelly is an actual princess she sounds so sweet I am in love with her voice.
Svala has a gorgeous tone and it's even better live. BEAUTIFUL!
Shaya has a warm deep voice that makes me happy, live she sounds exactly the same! beautiful!
Ivana is the only one where I prefered the studio version.
Mari is lovely and I love her live she sounds haunting. Always love Japanese voices!
Maeva sounds great in the studio but not live (sorry)
Ray is soooooo emotional in the studio version and in the live one she blows my mind she even topped her studio performance, I have chills all over my body... beautiful.
Aishwarya is so cute! I love the live too so cute I can't even handle it!
Du'ong is so strong! She sounds even stronger live! Love her fiesty tone.
So-hyang is has a gorgeous voice omg and live she's crazy good wish she sang the entire song acapella!

I've never heard korean version of moana's song, but when she sang it live i had tears in my eyes, wow that was amazing

I'm almost legally required to say this but honestly I just love the German voice of Pocahontas so much more than basically every other one.
Both in speaking and singing. It just suits the character so well and has the right tone and color to it.
Loved it because of two reasons
1. Finally got to see a compilation video of Disney princess where we had a chance to hear how the Hindi version sounds. (let it go multilingual me Sunidhi g k clip expect kiya tha par tha nahi)
2. Sohyang. She's one of my favorite Korean singer. No hate for Auli'i but I actually prefer Sohyang's version.

All these queens slayed their studio version for me, I'm a big fan of all these girls, even of the least popular ones like Ju Cassou and Aishwarya Majmudar! And in general, their live performance are as good as their studio version for me.
It's funny to see Natalia acting as Cinderella! Shlomit is just amazing, I can't believe she's in her mid-sixties. Janza Kata sounds way more involved live for me! Ray Liu and Shaya's vibrato are as pleasant in both live and studio versions. Svala sounds as GORGEOUS as always, twenty years after. Gosh Lara

As a Czech, I must shill our version of Tangled. Locika ([lo-tzi-ka], that's what Rapunzel is called over here) is great, but our mother Gothel steals the show. She's voiced by Helena Vondráčková, an long-time Czech star singer who was in her mid-sixties when she did the role. Some people even joked that she was perfect for the role, as she's one of those celebrities who are doing what they can to keep a young image, an effort that seems increasingly silly when you're 60-70, and extremely fitting for the character of Gothel.
As for the rest, Edyta Górniak, the Polish Pocahontas, was a definite standout for me. Such a Disney voice =) And the Korean Moana belting it out at the panel at the end was something else. I've just seen Moana for the first time last week, so that hit me hard.

I know they pick singers with similar tones to the original English version, but honestly this is incredible
Joke, Alexandra, Lara, Kelly, Svala, Shaya, Mari, Maeva, and Ray are my favorites. Although Vietnamese Elsa sounds awesome in the live. And I will also give some love to So-Hyang Kim, because Moana voices are hard for me to judge.

I love live Joke, she has a bit more of that opera vibrato I look for in Aurora. Shlomit is one of my fav Ariels and she's a little odd here but one must consider she was 66 there! I'm a rare Ju fan myself. I love how Edyta goes with Pocahontas, even though she sounds older she's somehow greatly fitting. LOL Lara Fabian was exuding Quebequism in that video, just like her fellow francophone Canadian Celine Dion. I like Kelly more live, and I always preferred her pop version. How is it that both Elsa and Anna sound better in Hindi when they're just standing someplace random with no music? Did they have poor direction? Was there pollen floating in the studio!?!?

HAH! You hit the nail right on the head about the Hindi dub of Frozen. They feel like the recordings were rushed and the singers weren't directly aptly. Aishwarya still sounds fine to me but Sunidhi in particular lets me down in the studio. Lara is like, one of the few Canadian voices everyone adores and it's great 'cuz I love her voice in general! It fits Esmeralda a lot without sounding dull or downright depressing in god help the outcasts. :D
I was wondering that myself. It's so weird how their live was stunningly accurate and amazing. The recording doesn't do their talent any justice.

Ok, Why i'm watching someone singing in Czech? There is some sence to choose the video.

I do not understand one thing to this day. Why do women 30-40 years give voice to teenage heroes? Regardless of whether these vocalists have strong vocals (Indina, So Hyang), their vocals sound too old. Edyta Górniak, for example, she sang Pocahontas at around 22 years old. And that is why it is partly one of the best dubbing singers in Poland. If not she the best. Because it sounds natural. I'm not saying that such an Indina has a bad voice. But by listening to and watching the "Let it go" version, it looks strange. Because I watch 21-year-old Else, who sings in an old voice. I will not mention that it should give a chance to younger vocalists, who will surely sound better. The voice of Kristen Bell or Mandy More is still good, because they sound soft, but they are also on the border. Once they sang young singer and sounded great and natural, and now ...

You have a good point. However, the casting is decided by Disney's team in the United States. Several times, more well known singers are chosen for getting better box office revenues, while other times the singers are chosen on the basis of their vocal abilities more than their actual age. Sometimes songs for films themselves are written for a particular singer (like Let It Go was written specifically for Idina....even if she sounds very old).
I'm personally not bothered by some of these singers, like Sohyang who I think has a gifted youthful tone which doesn't make her sound old and she manages to fade behind Moana's face regardless of her actual age.....but in other cases like Idina as well as Weronika Bochat (Polish Moana), the age difference is rather obvious even if the singer is good.

Maybe because So Hyang is the best singer in South Korea and top 3 in the world currently.

Alisia Krieg Just because she isn't popular doesn't mean she isn't one of the best vocalists in the world. I know for a fact that there isn't a single American singer better than her. Based on vocal technique, she's easily a top 10 vocalist of all time and her technique even surpasses that of Whitney Houston, Beyonce, and Michael Jackson to name a few. The only reason she isn't popular around the world is because she doesn't want to be. She has received offers from several American record labels, but has turned them all down. If you think someone needs to be well known to be good, then you're quite narrow minded, especially since Asia has some of the best vocalists in the world. Ever heard of Dimash Kudaibergen or Morissette Amon? Probably not, but them and So Hyang are literally better than all western singers except maybe Mariah Carey or Beyonce. No one else even compares. And So Hyang didn't play Moana, she only sang the songs. And I don't really see how it's a big deal. So Hyang has a naturally pure and youthful voice and it hasn't darkened or gotten rougher in over 20 years. In fact, her voice is much healthier, brighter, and prettier now than it was in 1996 when she started her singing career. And besides, have you heard So Hyang speak in Korean? She sounds very youthful even then.

So Hyang has a good voice, but he does not fit in with Moana. But as you can see, her popularity has given promotions to the film, because in the comments are mainly her fans. If she so popular in its pages, why not have it been offered dubbing before? She could give voice to Pocahontas.
It frustrates me , but Anastasia isn't a Disney princess!!!! Disney didn't make Anastasia. Mulan is technically not a princess either.

@@alicebthegachaweirdo8378 Yes they bought 20th Century Fox. But years before they did that, I still heard people refer to Anastasia as a Disney princess. I never liked the movie as a kid or as an adult.
I was sad to find out later that real Anastasia and her family were killed during the Russian Revolution. I can see why people would rather watch a version where Anastasia makes to adulthood and falls in love. I just don't like the film and Rasputin in the movie freaked me out.

Lol, this is part 2, which features exclusively international counterparts, and there's nothing racist about that, lol. English is not a race. But if you want English, then refer to Part 1. Many of the princesses from Snow White to Elsa and Anna are in that video.
