What a great surprise from you two to react to my new favourite symphonic progressive metal band from Israel with stellar classically trained musicians and a vocal beast Noa Gruman, who: 1. makes her own stage outfits & directs, produces & edits many of their music videos 2. composes the songs together with the bassist Orr Didi (who's blind) & writes the lyrics also 3. has served with the Israeli armed forces for two years 4. also conducts the "Hellscore" A Cappella metal choir that has performed internationally & with bands like e.g. Therion, Ayreon & Amorphis 5. is a classically trained pianist & cellist, although she doesn't play these instruments with Scardust 6. has also been working with the Israeli opera & Zubun Mehta as 1st soprano & has a vocal range of 4,5 octaves, which is over an octave wider that that of e.g. Tarja Turunen, Floor Jansen, Simone Simons & the late Whitney Houston 7. worked on her extreme vocals online with Nightwish's Floor Jansen for two years
Scardust is my favorite band. You might see hellscore in some Ayreon songs. Patty rached out to Noa to try learn how to sing some of the songs in Scardust Sands of Time album (2017/ re-released globally 2019) and thats how they met. This song came off Scardusts second full album strangers (2020). This video was supposed to be filmed in 2020, but took a few years due to shutdowns and scheduling. They are working on recording their next album. Suggestions for songs: Gone, Break the Ice, Disney Princess but shes Metal and Dials (Sands of Time part 3). Dials is one part of a 5 song series called Sands of Time. Each part can be listened to sperately. I enjoy every single song by this band, except their latest single.
what a collaboration....an Israeli ProgMetal band with a chamber orchestra and Patty's Hurdy-Gurdy ! Big props to the band, Patty and Noa ( with her 'Hellscore' choir ) and especially Orr Didi, the legally blind bassist, he's the Man........good on the cinematographer who did the video !
This was the first Scardust song I heard, I discovered them thanks to Patty Gurdy's channel. They also do some fantastic Nightwish covers live, probably the best I've come across! They have unfortunately been affected by events in the region, unsurprisingly, and upon returning to Israel one of the first things they had to do was attend a funeral. My heart goes out to them and everyone else suffering because of the conflict.
Hello my Quirky friends! Welcome to my 3rd Band I try to support Scardust! The Choir is Accapella and Hellscore Metal Choir. Noa directs and writes and arranges for them. The magical sauce of Scardust is Orr Didi (Bass) and Noa. Patty said she gave him what Gurdys could do and more of what she does and he put all of it in! Lol I love you can actually hear the Gurdy throughout. I would recommend Gone, Mist, and their secrete project, Disney princess but she's Metal. Every little girl wants to be a Metal Princess. Lol Loved the reaction my friends. Till next time. Would love to see ya react to my first band I support. They did a beautiful rendition to Now and Then. No one covers the Beatles like they do. Different genres. I'm so old. Getting my trailer tire replaced in Louisiana. Peace. Stay safe. God Speed. 🍻🤘♥️🌹
