Even though LSU wasn’t the best choice for her she did state before in a interview last month that she did learn a lot from her time there and that had she not gone to LSU…..the opportunity to play in the Paris Olympics wouldn’t have come to her. Everyone is so quick to shit on LSU when it comes to Hailey like as if the team and Kim Mulkey harmed her in some way yet she still has so much love and respect for her former team. If she’s able to put the past behind her, move on from it, and still have lots of love and respect for them despite what happened…..we should have enough respect for her to move on as well.
Having confidence in yourself is half the battle. What’s important is figuring why she lost it at LSU. It could be as simple as not having chemistry with the other players or coaching and your style of play isn’t compatible. Glad HNL was smart enough to realize something wasn’t right and moved on. Players have to be themselves. Go HVL🌺🏀🏀🏀
This is one of the few comments that hasn’t completely shit on LSU and attacked the whole team in regard to Hailey. In my opinion the reason for why people still wanna bring that up just to shit on them is because people couldn’t stand the fact that Hailey chose to go to a predominantly black team that won the national championship. All of the hate towards LSU needed to be “justified” and “defended” so Hailey was used an excuse and scapegoat for it. Despite what happened with her there, she has stated that she did learn a lot from her time there and had she not gone…..the Paris Olympics opportunity wouldn’t have come to her. Everyone wants to shit on the team but Hailey still has love and respect for them.
LSU ran a wing dominated offense. I.e. once Hvl passed the ball to the wing players, they went 1 on 1, shot a three or looked inside. Once the ball went inside, it was not passed back outside for a three. Thus, Hvl was reduced to taking difficult shots if she wanted to score. She never got in a rhythm with the offense and was actually a 4th option. Now she’s back to being one of the best 1 on 1 players in the nation.
Playing around/with Reese was pure poison for HVL. Wish the best for Hailey. Living in Idaho, I was aware of HVL as a high school player from Washington. I loved her battles with Caitlyn Clark in their early college years.. (BTW, CC and HVL have been teammates and friends since high school) they just compete against each other really hard when on opposing teams. Impossible I know but CC and HVL on the same WNBA team would be box office!
All of the people who think that Hailey just got “thick” at LSU and Texas, definitely haven’t watched her videos with OvertimeWBB back when she was a high school senior because she’s been thick. Hell even her high school senior pictures…..you could see she’s always been thick, but because people like to hate on her over transferring (though every single person on the TCU team except for Aailyah Roberson is a transfer with Maddie Scherr and Taylor Bigby coming from two major universities as well) nobody wants to notice that she’s always been thick, and beautiful. Also saying that she was a disaster at LSU is a stretch, if I’m being honest. Yes last season wasn’t her best…..but the way some people (not specifically you but people in general) wanna make videos about her and completely trash her as an athlete is uncalled for, as well as completely trash LSU acting like the whole team harmed her in some way. Every athlete at some point has to have a rough year to humble themselves and build themselves back up. Hailey was comfortable at Louisville but in the real world….you can’t get too comfortable, and for Hailey to take the chance and transfer to LSU….not every athlete is willing to step outside of their comfort zone like that even if things don’t work out. Hailey deserves some props for that because despite what happened, it helped her grow as a person and an athlete and she found herself again….but to say that she was a disaster is a bit much. Hailey going through what she did last season is better than a possibility of her going through that in the league, because now she understands herself better and knows what she needs to improve on even more.
O come on 1st round pick, well c. The transfer portal I think is the worst thing because most kids are just going to win not learn or get better HVL has always been good not great but good if she would have stayed at Louisville and stayed committed might’ve been different..
Even if the offense didn’t mesh with HVL’s offensive attributes…she could have done a WAY better job on Caitlin in the elite eight matchup last year. HVL failed to put a hand in CC’s face. It didn’t take long for CC to get hot from the outside. That made their journey a wrap! CC sent HVL home in two consecutive ncaa tournaments, in two elite 8s and with two different ncaa teams….smh.
@@marcusb.3038 The WNBA players can’t guard Clark by themselves and certainly no college player could. Undefeated So Carolina couldn’t stop her the year before so it’s not just HVL.
leaving Lousvile for LSU was a mistake and realized it and got the heck outa there.
TCU is obviously a great decision for her.
Go do it Hailey

I totally agree with your comments,
As an Iowa hawkeyes fan , she was an enemy player lol,
But much respect to her , no hate whatsoever,
Go HVL

Man...why does everything have to be LUST!!!! It is LOVE!!!
I recommend looking up the video where Hailey shares her brownie recipe!
I always watch your videos because of your accurate and well-argued comments.

@@mikewiseman-pb7vx More complete fiction by a hater. Truth is, HVL played poorly most of the year and cost Angel and LSU a shot at the title.

She is pretty
I wish it would have worked out at LSU.
As long as she never has to guard Caitlin Clark again she will survive.

Did you mean the LSU transfer was a disaster?
Im glad for her... the TCU contract $$$ was fantastic too... she would he picked as 5th or 6th pick for 1st round ...
