This song is about having unrealistic expectations and fear of the unknown. She talks about the anxiety attacks it causes and how she overthinks thing. And I think "be good do good look good" s about trying to be the best version of herself, not just for a future lover. She also says "I decide" not "I decided", so it's like, a continuous thing.

I think the song is about coming out of a toxic relationship where she was told what to do and how to look. Now, no matter how scary it is to stop that toxic relationship, she is ready for a new relationship where she decides how to be, do, and look good.

Unfortunately, yes. I'm sorry for that. I hope it'll get better over time, believe me, I don't enjoy feeling like lost in the woods in my own head due to some damn mental health condition and meds related to that. :/ I hope next year I'll be back to my old self.
