I've done the Camino Frances before it was so crowded and this reminds me so much of that time. Thanks for the posts.
Yes, in many ways, I think the Primitivo captures what the Camino Frances might have been like before it was so crowded. Definitely other pilgrims so that you could form groups and/or recognize others, but so much room to space out and find peace- even solitude!- as you walk. What year did you walk the Francés?
In that rocky descent I met a group who help a pilgrim eith his friend who do all the Primitivo in wheelchair. No words! 🙏

Exactly this happened to me in Berducedo. I stay there to he a long breack with other pilgrims. I arrived after 20.00 in La mesa 😂
