I apologize for the delay on this video, went through some life shifts including moving locations which held me up a bit. I will hopefully continuously add to this series over the next weeks, let me know if you have any questions!

LoG, I comment on your videos a lot, but I just wanted to say that discovering you has absolutely positively changed my life.
Thank you for everything you do.
Much love from about as far south in the U.K. as you can get.

I just have not reached this level and it is so going to take more than a second. My ear is just not this developed. A great sound, thanks for sharing teaching.

You are a genius, how did you work all this stuff out? . It is inspiring and intimidating at the same time. Thanks a lot.

When you demonstrated the same movement from A to Dm it seemed to click better, familiarity kind of helped. Thinking about the chord you are not on yet is not easy even though the short cuts you showed are incredibly helpful. It has definitely shown me my knowledge of the fretboard could be more on point. A fantastic lesson thanks a lot.

If you haven't seen the other three videos that come before this, I get into each strategy and a lot more detail. This video is essentially a culmination of the three parts preceding it, so that may help. The playlist is in the description!

I feel like I just discovered what makes Al Di Meola a pro`s pro. A guitarist`s guitarist.

Very helpful as usual; I'm digging it. To my ears, when leading with a dominant sound into the minor, the pull is a hard pull, where as when leading with diminished 7, it's a little more subtle and exotic. Thanks for the lesson.

Great lesson and killer playing….for me instead of thinking of 2,5,7 …I think of a 5 of,….5 of Eb is the Bb dominant, which for me is easy to know and visualize, then raise the root (b9) and it’s the diminished into Eb,,,but basically a “5 of” dominant into next chord movement

For sure, that is probably how I look at it too, however in some scenarios I'll look at it from the chord I'm moving to. I just try to have both in my mind. So:
Diminished off of the "target" chords 7-2-4-b6
      Or
off of the "5 of's" 3 5 7 b2. Same notes, so will yield the same diminished.

Can you elaborate? If you haven't seen the beginning of this series, you might want to do that as your question will probably be answered.

Will you do me a favor and just upload some videos of you jamming and soloing for an hour? Do that a few times and I could have an all day Playlist!

I think your videos are great. You are a fantastic musician and teacher. But, you should get another camera so when you are just talking we can see your face. It would make your videos way better.
