Thanks PPJ. I would advise my younger self especially my 20s to be more intentional and deliberate in everything I did. I was just flowing with life, for example as long as I had a job I would relax and life moves on. But now I know that just having the job is not enough, you have to set goals for promotions and climbing the career ladder. You have to strive to perform. Success to me is subjective and it is achieving whichever goal one sets. For example now in my 30s, I write down a set of goals at the beginning of every year. And if I achieve those goals then I’m successful and I celebrate every bit. If I set out to get rid of acne and by the end of the year I clear my skin, that’s success to me
I relate to Primah's faith journey! Cow dance, concerts, and movie nights had me! Many maaaany times, I couldn't choose prayer over them as a teen and young adult, but now, no brainer! Evolution is real, or maybe growth is the right word. Then I feel like my career chose me rather than the other way round 🤗
All I see is an intentional friendship; three beautiful minds sharing about concepts that matter! We needed this. It’s good to find your channel. Thank you PPJ for being intentional. Will go look for more of your episodes.
As an introvert who loves and cares for people around me,i agree with Joel , when he says he feels the energy of people around him and makes sure everyone is okay .it can be draining and i also need time to decompress😊
😅😅😅 I am a laughing because how do you all carry opinions that I relate with . Like there is a me in each one of you . I enjoyed this episode. Thank you guys 😊
What I would tell my younger self would be ' you are doing better than you think, embrace curiosity, remember mistakes are part of the journey, dont be afraid to take risks.'
I have mindset shifts often because of the I learn and discover along the way, today it will be " doing your best can look different everyday", and tomorrow it will be " forgiveness is for you and not for the other person." It is part of an active life to keep learning and evolving. Such intellectually stimulating conversations are what keep us on the track of self reflection, life analysis and make mindset shifts feel easier. Love it😍😍😍😍Something I'd advise my younger self to do, is to be more individualistic. Love something because you love it not because people love it and just because someone found it hard doesn't mean you will find it hard.
You guys, I relate to Joel so much. Like as if we have had similar life experiences. Kati all I need is to be as articulate as he is in expressing the things i believe and my views about life. The cockroaches in my head get in the way, they want me to tell people what they want to hear not what I want to say. Kwegamba, like Joel, I need to stop absorbing people's energies. Mwebale ka episode. Pumla me I was looking at the smile 😜
Wow,what a powerful discussion,Well there 4 things i would change about myself; 1.Being so intentional in anything i do. 2.Saying no and not feeling bad about it. 3.Setting boundaries and sticking to it. 4.Being emotionally, mentally and financially independent .
PPJ u guys do it for me. Am attracted to your wisdom. Actually I still talk to myself it's ok not to best all the time. This thing would freak me out but now I am getting in terms with it. Love u guyz
Great episode✨ I’m right there with Joel👏🏽I believe centering community thrives on a healthy amount of communication with the people we choose to commune with that lead to more reflection in our individual lives when we allow room for respectful, authentic conversations.
Joel, I totally get you. As an introvert, I'd also always feel the energies in the room as well. So I always matched energies(I'd check and read the room, then see what energy to bring in). As my younger self, a leader, even when I wanted to stay in my shell, and I found avroom full of people who didn't want to budge, and yet things needed to move, then I had to step up and drop my shell, and take charge to set the ball rolling! But all in all, even when I don't say a word, I'm always well aware of the energies in any given scenario.
It can be a lot to process, but I also find we are temperamentally blessed to feel deeply with others around us. A great trait in any leader. Thank you for sharing
I love love love these phiosophical people called PPJ. And this episode mennnh!!!! Its like it just dissected every part of my brain into small small. And what I resonnate with can be summarised into - I would tell my young self NOT NOT NOT to be a people pleaser AND to be Indepedent (Nobody is your mother after 18 woooo so grow up child). All your individual stories touched on those 2. God bless your intellect banange, When I grow up I want to be like you😋 , yes all of you.
My perspective of success in my younger years was excellence in academics ,getting a job ,making a family ,however this has really evolved ,lately it is about what more can I achieve ,how can impact and how much can I give to others as I give to my self too .I also resonated with the emotional, mental and financial independence .
Absolutely great and mind provocative conversations...I love the fact that Prima is very open minded in her conversations and responses...Pumla and Joel bring out lovely conversations that causes the mind to think more...❤❤❤
I love how PPJ added some amazing pictures of their younger selves. Beautiful conversations. I also feel like Joel tends to have a line of thought but doesn’t drive it to the end maybe because he’s also very philosophical 🧐 and tries to add all this philosophy that the point is lost somewhere there. Oba it was the drink!! Anyhoo, I love this combo😊
Hahaha! He truly is deeply philosophical so the time allocated is just not enough kubanga the info in his head 🙆🏾♀️. We would need another lifetime. Naye we have noted this. We'll learn summary next time. Thanks

As an introvert, I actually agree that we soak in people's emotions a lot. I love how he said J said it, introverts tend to be people pleasers and they also feel everything everyone is feeling and its such a burden and its painful tbh. the way I want to be part of the conversation 😭😂 I think we don't necessarily do the careers we wanted to do as children but we still try to be the people we wanted to be. Like I may not necessarily become a doctor but my heart will still try to do something that ensures I am helping people. Oba that makes sense?? So I get what Allan's kids say, maybe we all felt that as children? and then people started asking us about careers??
This was such a wholesome conversation honest and refreshing on so many levels. Still trying to understand the atheist Christian yet it somehow made sense. Prima loved your salvation story. As usual Pumla brought me here. I enjoyed watching all of you hearing each other out despite differences in opinions.

Live her life the way she wants to live it. She is smart enough to understand what is best for her. Whatever mistakes she makes.. she will be able to live with them. Cause she is strong enough, intelligent enough, intuitive enough to seek a higher power ( God) or love and guidance. And just like Pumla mentioned, success to her will be about having social, emotional, mental and financial independence
