Been debating this one for a while and I think I've got to give it a shot. Thanks for showing the comparison with the Jetboil as well, so not worth 150!

Agreed! I love seeing companies like Firemaple come out with great products and not overcharge like crazy. I hope you enjoy it:)

I just learned about the MSR Universal Canister Stand which gives added stability to the whole system

Don’t get the newer GeenPeak ll stove for the Petrel Pot because the pot stands on the stove don’t fit into the slots on the Petrel Pot.

I ordered 3 Combo Green Peak Stove/Petrel Pot Combos from Fire Maple for me & the family. I got 12% off and free shipping. With tax it was $120 total for 3 kits. Great deal…less than the price of 1 Jetbroil. 😎

That’s awesome, I hope you and the family go on some great trips with it!

@@HawkinsHikes Thanks! I like the fact that the stove arms fit in the slots of the heat exchanger. Also like the built in igniter. Less to worry about if my wife or daughter are using it in their own…less chance of the pot spilling…less chance of them getting burned while lighting the stove. Also very light to carry in a pack. Thanks again for the review.

How many boils does the 100 gram fuel canister give you with the fire maple ? And on you first stove it gives you half ?

It depends on what I'm using it for, I'd say half the time I'm boiling the full 600ml for a meal and a drink, and the other half only for food. On average I get about 20-25 boils out of a 100g fuel canister with the Firemaple. It's definitely far more efficient than the Odoland (closer to 12-15). I hope that answer helps!

@@HawkinsHikesBased on other reviews, that’s a really fair estimate. Thanks!

No problem! Of course altitude and types of food are going to alter that number slightly, but that’s been my experience so far with it. Thanks for the comment!
