@@UncleKennysPlace Its not just about flying these planes (which you wont really be doing as a CFI anyways), but owning them so you can use them to go wherever you want whenever you want.
Yeah, buying them is pricy, but the maintenance and service is actually cheaper compare to others

Nice aircraft twin turbo for good high altitude flying on Jet A fuel with retractable gear! Only downside is the range.
As a SR22T pilot, the DA50 RG, looks amazing. Cirrus needs to step up their game! Nice work Diamond Aircraft!

This DA50 is just what GA needs. We are flying around in aircraft designed 50 years ago, running on fuel that is getting hard to find. This appears to be a huge leap forward in performance, comfort, safety, and efficiency which is just what GA needs. Kudos to Diamond, this is going to be a huge success.

What a machine. Diamond is consistently making beautiful functional airplanes. Truly innovative, and bringing GA into the modern world. Fantastic.
As a side note, I audibly gasped when Martin said he ha 6'7. I am 6'5 and always have issues fitting in airplanes, so to see him comfortably fit in there is awesome!

Well, this is a high Performance Single Engine Airliner. Woow, just great! Perfect job to Diamond Aircraft. The Design steps forward and Cirrus steps behind. By today Cirrus seems to be old school, compairing to the DA 50. I truly think, there is a modern innovative airplane borne, giving other manufactures the bottom of the line.

Shes’s beautiful! Just completed my instrument rating in Cirrus SR20. Cirrus are certainly great aircraft, but given the choice I would gladly take a DA50 or DA62. Just beautiful aircraft with great engineering behind them. One day I must fly one, or both, of these aircraft!!!

I purchased one last week, great aircraft. Took it for a beautiful evening flight around the southern tip of Lake Michigan... then I woke up.
Wow, this is the aircraft of my dreams. I have been flying a lot in the DA40 w G1000, and loved the diesel engine and the single lever power control.
The whole time I watched the video all I kept thinking was “ I can’t wait for them to put this in MSFS”

Going to print out a picture of this beautiful plane and pin it to my wall to see if I can attract it into my life! Last time I did this a beautiful Bonanza showed up, not a DA 50 but wasn’t too shabby! I must say I never got goose bumps just looking at a plane, as much as I like the SR22 the wingspan and retractable gear on this does the trick for me, simply gorgeous!!
What a modern piece of engineering. The engine seems groundbreaking and could bring a shock to the GA market. Cessna and Cirrus must urgently raise their game.

Meanwhile, Beech, Cessna, Mooney, and Piper at building 60-70 year-old designs as new airplanes. Sure, they put new avionics in them, but they're still very old designs. Kudos to Diamond!

Out of all piston airplanes DA's are just pure... Diamonds in terms of how they look and fly. Was fortunate to fly DV20 DA40 and DA42 and I totally hope that DA50 would be great plane to have at own hangar!

Normally I’d say that twin engine variants of aircraft look the best but this single looks much better than its twin counterpart, the DA-62. Its proportions and stance are near perfect!
Funny you say that. According to Plane and Pilot, the DA62 was actually developed off the already well advanced design of the DA50 before the latter was put on hold. Wow, what a beautiful plane. Nicely done Diamond. Chapeau to the designers for the most beautifully designed paint scheme ever. Loved everything about that plane. I’ll take it. By that, I mean leave the hangar unlocked and the keys on the glare shield.

I got my PPL flying a humble DV20 and it's very cool to see so much of the same design philosophy applied to the 50.
I can say only "WOW"! Really nice aircraft.
I‘ve made my MEL rating on the DA42 and totally loved the airplane. Recently I had the opportunity to fly the DA62. What a marvelous airplane, Diamond is with no doubt top notch of GA. Can‘t wait to fly the DA50RG. One point of criticism: The G1000 would not be my display of choice, maybe a G3000 can be an option for future Diamond developments. Anyway, regardless if HK36, Katana, Diamond Star or the others: Diamond aircraft have always been a pleasure to fly (and maintain!) urleiwand!
Love it! Can't afford it! I do wish other makers would put their fuel tanks behind the wing spar. That is a great anti-fire precaution in accidents

I’m working on my instrument now in a diamond DA 40. I did my private in a PA28-161 ii and got a small amount of time in diamond DA20s and I really have to say I hope I can fly the this craft one day.

Nice one Diamond. Disappointed that the optional keyboard is not a QWERTY keyboard. That was always a major usability issue with the pre-G6 Cirrus models.
