1:52:00 Miaow time. I've been watching on and off, and really loving this. So much to learn seeing the play and hearing your think-aloud commentary. Thanks for doing this!
Took me 5 sittings to watch, almost done, but this is the reason I love watching ANNA. She's ALWAYS HAPPY. Her feelings are so honest. She gets excited by moves. Positions scare her, yet she's always positive. May get down, because of a game, but 5 minutes later, she's back to being perky again. Hope she maintains that joyous spirit, as she gets older. It's rare to see, even in young people now.
5:52 that face scared me to death I thought evrything was lost, the end of the world coming humanity ends in a cinder cloud or laser from aliens You Are Crazy 🤣
I love the way you narrate your thoughts as you play. I find it much more informative/useful than other channels I've watched - maybe it's just that your communication style matches me better! Thanks for all the content, please don't slow down!
Mjau, great video Anna, and props to you for doing this through the night and staying eunthiastic troughout! Have watched a good chunk of the video and will definately come back to finish it later, as a novice chess player I find this very educational
I watched the whole thing!!! Anna is now living even more rent free in my head. I played some games and I could hear myself thinking "the idea is simply to go here, here, and then here and takes, takes and takes cause I don't like his Knight there cause it's kinda scary!" I legit learned so much in these 8 hrs. I always thought sacrificing a bishop for a knight was bad news, learned it's not. I didn't even think about sacrificing to "mess up pawn structure" I learned that it sometimes makes sense to move into risk if the piece is weak (eg. light square bishops sometimes). I often used to find myself playing too passive and just dancing developed pieces around the board with my opponent, these new things helped me notice when to attack. I also figured out some ways to attack castled Kings. I learned to just keep trading pieces and go to an end game if you're up pieces and can't figure out a checkmate. and yeah... Also, I learned water is underrated, and tea is underrated. I learned Anna says "glasses" in just as interesting of a way as she says "half". I was reminded of how much more I don't like the Spanish from Spain accent versus the Central/South American Spanish accent (when speaking Spanish... that forced lisp just seems so unnatural, lol anyone reading (probably no one) don't hate me for saying this.) Finding this video when I'm still sick and in bed was pretty clutch. Thanks a million
MEOW! Totally cool to watch you do this. Learning a lot. I really admire how you see things so fast -- and in a few cases I've analyzed to see something you missed -- which doesn't make me think any less of you, only that you're a human being too!
This is such a huge help for someone like me that is just getting back into chess. Lots of games and talking through the moves (and traps and common mistakes) is so great. Thank you so much!
This is the best idea ever and the best instructional video i have ever seen. I know I am too low rating (823) to be using the Sicilian defence but its the one i started off with and my white opening also happens to be Queens Gambit - so I have learned such a lot. I have replayed up to 1000 rating several times and will continue to do so, as any higher than that is probably too advanced for me. Really enjoyed it thanks- your enthusiasm is infectious!
So many good moments. 3:24:35 smother mating herself instead of just taking the knight had me cracking up. Really great chess though and learning a ton as a 1200. It's nice to see her make mistakes and recover from them.
@@St0neByte If she takes the knight there, the opponent takes the rook on H1 and it's mate .. try to see other side of the board as well, BTW I'm 2000, and this is just an advice, getting to 2000 is not difficult

When you said at 2:45:16 "Like not actually doing everything" you're re-telling the story about Emanuel Lasker. He was about to light a cigar during a game, but hesitated.
