I own both and honestly, it's all about how you prep your skin and the type of foundation that you use. Both are great products and thank you for the review
Do you mind sharing how you prep your skin for the Elf one? I just bought the Elf one and I'd love to know what would be the best way to prep my skin for it.
Thanks for the amazing review of both :) I just tried a sample of hydrogrip today and was blown away. Kicking myself for not trying it sooner lol. I am going to give elf a try first before committing to the full size though. What could be a deal breaker is that I have extremely sensitive skin and the elf primer does have different ingredients than milk's. So its possible my skin might react differently but we shall see! Worth a shot to save some $$$ lol
@@AriellAsh elf didn't bother my skin, but it didn't mesh with my foundation unfortunately. Kept looking patchy and separating no matter how I tried to apply.
Love this review. I have the Bobbi Brown WTF and as it is water based, I needed a water based primer. ELF tops most "best" lists along with the Milk. For the $, I will try the ELF first. I have had such difficulty using the WTF and I am 61 with dry skin. I feel as though it smears and pills so I am not prepping my skin appropriately. I will try a light moisturizer, then the ELF, then the WTF. Wish me luck as I was NOT genetically gifted with your gorgeous skin:)
Glad it was helpful! I hope it works with your routine bobbi brown vitamin enriched face base is a great primer for mature skin as well and moisturizing. Thank you Hun 😊
Hi there yes I have the milk primer and I use it only once’s and I like it so far I have heard so much about it 😊but I never try the elf primer yet so I’m going to use the milk some more then I mite try the elf I really enjoy this video also thanks for sharing ❤
I have both, they both perform the same. I do find myself reaching more for Elf (no particular reason) I dont see myself repurchasing that milk primer. The other milk matte primer is ok as well, dont think ill be repurchasing either. Suggestion: can you please try MUFE new powder and Laura Mercier i think its foundation (comes out feb 26)
Thanks for sharing not sure why I’ve been reaching for the Elf one as well maybe it has something to do with the softer squeeze packaging 🤣 And absolutely I just can’t figure out which color to get it’s so hard choosing online don’t think it’s in stores. Also I’ll stay on the lookout for the LM foundation I haven’t heard anything about it.
@@AriellAsh u know what it really is the packaging bc thats what im feeling for when i open the draw. LM isnt out yet towards ending of this month. They dropping a foundation and tint. MUFE is now in stores it literally just dropped and i would say go in stores as the colors are..i dont even know what word to say. It reminds me of juvias place in terms of tryna find a shade its darker on skin vs in the pan.
This video was SOOOO helpful and I could listen to you talk and watch you do makeup looks all day!!! Buying an Elf one soon I love their makeup!
Aweee thank you and glad it was helpful Luv! ❤️
I have them both. I agree they're similar, but I find myself reaching for the Elf primer grip more.
Since I got the Elf one it’s been the same for me … thanks for sharing!
I use the Milk for date nite, and the ELF for Church! Plus I can get 3 elf’s for the price of one MILK! Thanks for sharing! Beautiful ❤
Yw! And yesss both definitely work 🙌🏾
Im an Elf girlie all the way! I really appreciate how affordable their products are ☺️💖
Yeees and you don’t have to compromise quality
Thank you!! Yes, ELF side looks best, now I will try. I only do concealer, but I should still feel confident!!
I absolutely agree! And YW 😊

@@anamikakhan593 it really depends on what your skin type is but always moisturize before applying primer
Loved all the products you used. ❤👍🏼
Thanks Luv!
My go to is milk hydro grip cause my skin is very dry so I guess I need to try elf cause that price is right. Thanks for this review 😊😊
The price is most definitely enticing…and absolutely Luv! Thanks for watching ❤️
Love that gloss. I've used the Milk but I haven't tried the ELF. I'm going to save me some money on this. Lol Love the look.
Thanks Sis! It’s honestly good as well. And the formula of Dior glosses are incredible
Thank you for the review ❤You did an awesome comparison I was looking to find a video on which one I wanted to use and boom ❤ I think I will try both!
Glad it was helpful! They are both pretty good. Thanks for watching ❤️
@@AriellAsh yes I did!Your very welcome 🤗

Thank you so much!!
I have both, I use E.L.F primer power grip everyday, but will use MILK for special events
Yees they are very similar

@@MoreMelaninPlease ok 👌🏾 and oh gosh Julia’s place was the absolute hardest 🥴 let’s see if I can match it tomorrow
While they are similar the elf one performs better than the milk for a fraction of the price
Great point definitely worth trying especially because of that price difference
Skin is flawless
Thank you Luv 😊
What brush are you using for your foundation? It looks rectangular and I like it.
It’s in the description box under brushes used. The Morphe brush.
Thank you so much !!! You just saved me some coins 😅
Absolutely! It’s so perfect for this time of year
Beautiful! Thank you for this AWESOME review! I’m a new follower.
Yw Luv! Welcome to the channel ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much, finally I can order my stuffs now.
PS: from an upcoming mua
Yw! I’m sure you’re gonna be an amazing artist have fun on your journey Luv ❤️
Very helpful review!
I’ve been using milk but the price definitely has been pushing me towards Elf.
Glad it was helpful!
I agree. Elf is better.
It’s good..I reach for it so much
You have such beautiful skin...
Thank you 😊
I am going to try elf. Do you think it will work for oily skin?
If you have oily skin elf liquid putty primer would be a much better option for oily skin
What brush are you using to set your entire face? Which powder brush is it?
It was from Amazon about 6-7 years ago and u can no longer find it
DANGGGG😢😢😢 aw man
Love. Love. Your earrings!!!
Thank you Luv !
Ehww whys it small like that for the price? No go
*Great video!*
Thank you 😊
I just bought this, and it really made my face oily.
Oh no… you may need one specifically for oily skin …This one is not.
I need this milk primer, because I have extremely dry skin. If you already have oily skin, then use a matte primer.
I've tried both they just don't work for Mt oily skin
This one is more so for grip and longevity…you will definitely need something that mattifies
@AriellAsh thank you doll!
I can’t use the Elf primer because it left my foundation blotchy soon after.
Oh no…so maybe not great with all foundation formulas. Definitely something for me to look out for. Thanks for sharing!
Maybe you used a silicone based foundation
What camera do you shoot on ! It’s so clear
It’s not the camera it’s the lightening . Cannon t3i or my iPhone 13
❤
😊❤️
Is it for dry skin????
It’s not formulated for dry skin..but it will work for dry skin 👌🏾make sure you moisturize first
I’m trying elf.. to be continued……
Lol… you will prob enjoy it
