@@dietrpoppen7981I thought something was missing! That’s it. Thanks mang! Brittany is such a nice song. I wish that, Light Me Up, I Got to Put the Hammer Down, and Sweetheart in the Summer were on the final album. I know I missed a few more.
Hearing a song like ‘Thanks and Praises’ makes me sit here in amazement over how Gener can do all these different voices and at times not even sound like himself. He’s got to be the most underrated singer in modern music history. Absolute amazing chameleon of a singer who sounds incredible no matter what voice he uses.
Last year I had one of the most strange, heavy and intense years of my life, and at the beginning of my healing phase, I rediscovered ween for myself. And that time literally changed my life. My whole mindset is now different, but in a good way and the first time in my life, I really feel "like myself". At the end of last year I turned 30 and now it feels like I've finally finished the tutorial and I can play this little game like I want to. Thank you Ween archived, thank you BoognishMonster and an utopian big THANK YOU WEEN
I'd been a Ween fan for YEARS before I finally became consumed by obsession. It happened during a really difficult and intense time of transition as well. They're there for your lowest lows and highest highs, and everything in betWEEN
@@floepiejane so after 2 weeks (not only) of thinking about that question, I can definitely say... that there is no one and only answer for this. I think it's many aspects combined. - my understanding of music was "leveled up" - my view on life got a bit more cynical, but also much more open and more humorous - their browness - they have such great earworms haha - that I'm not alone with my pain - Gene has such a beautiful voice with such an extremely wide range, it's simply wonderful And the list goes on, I think you know what I want to say👍
Thanks so much! I'd only heard about half of them before. It's always so exciting to hear "new" Ween songs after listening to them for almost 20 years!
Financially speaking I'm sure they wish they could tour less. And make more records. The records aren't profitable like they were at the peak of their career. Bands have to rely on touring in March sales to get bands have to rely on touring in March sales to bands have to rely on touring, merch sales to get by. Mickey specifically complained about how when they were younger they figured by this time in their career they would be able to tour less and record more. But by the time they actually got to that point in their career the finances were twisted on their head and they had to take the reverse course. So now despite being almost mid-fifties they got to go on the road and stay at middling hotels instead.
Each week over the past decade I have listened to Ween as I put together our community's 2 local newspapers, and every week I am blown away by the depth of their sound. Never gets boring and I'm always wanting more. Thanks for sharing!
Blue Balloon > Kite Flying Man > Thanks Praises > Fruit Man. Would have been great … all songs are insane and go great with La Cucaracha…. I loved that album
Part of it is just because they've literally been in a band together for 40 years. Especially in the early years just using a four-track.... And the lo-fi sound being a selling point. But yeah even accounting for all those variables the output is absolutely amazing. Especially when you consider they haven't recorded songs together since 2007 or whatever.
HONESSTLY though. I dont even hate La Cucaracha.. its good for what it is I guess... But its not my cup of tea. These songs are pretty rad so far though.
Wait what?? Some of these look like legit lossless files. Where did these come from? Where are all the other tracks that are always lumped in with the Cucaracha demos like The Wolfman?
Yeah, all the files are lossless! And the other tracks like The Wolfman are also La Cuc demos however are not part of the La Cuc Sessions that Deaner played. Like how I’ll Wait is a Mollusk demo but isn’t from “The Mollusk Sessions” itself
@@weenarchive Where did these come from?? It blows my mind some of these songs didn't make the final cut. I haven't heard most of these, something the man need and thanks and praises are like pure powdered brown man. Thanks for making these public!!

Awesome for you, Derek. If you don't mind, how did the band help? I'd offer guesses, but I don't want to lead the framing.

Correct
How am I still discovering Ween songs I haven’t heard before? The Boognish just keeps on giving.

some of these songs are better than tunes that made it to La Cucaracha
FR lmao
That’s just about every Ween release imo
Man I would rather listen to "The Fucked Jam" for 10 hours straight than half the songs on "La Cucaracha"
Like what exactly.?
@@arthurdent6828 well It Freaks Me Out for one.
Had to stop just short of Thoughts and Praises to say how cool this is, especially all the different vocal stylings he nails.

I keep coming back to this
One of my favorite bands. Ween rules !!!
Best thing on TH-cam. Your link to Ween. Thank you all day long.
Something that the man needs is heavenly beatiful! Ween has so manyyy hidden jams...
Amazing group of songs that fit together so well
Kite Flying Man playing on repeat in my headphones.
Hawakani Say is my new favorite LaCuc demo
Would have loved this instead of lullaby. Both songs soothe me but this one is more beautiful I feel.
Keep doing it! You're on track to be my favorite channel on the TH-cam.
Blue Balloon > Kite Flying Man > Thanks Praises > Fruit Man. Would have been great … all songs are insane and go great with La Cucaracha…. I loved that album
Thank you!! Been looking for a good version of Hawakawani Say for so long!
I thought I knew what this upload was, I didn't... thank you!!!
How is this not more widely liked/listened to? Many thanks for the upload!
I just landed here and Boognished in my shorts! Daaaaamn, this is such a find. Thanks a lot!
I remember they were playing Leave Deaner Alone for a while, but I haven’t heard the rest of these songs! Thank you!
Ahhhhhh love finding MORE WEEN!!!
That envelope filter on the bass on it freaks me out is too good
Oh joy. How hap am to hear a new weem song. Hipe they dont run out.
5:44 - gener sang this song to me in the street. True story. I sucked that day.
WHAAAAAT?!?! When did that happen?
And hope you didn’t “suck” for…. Ah, who am I to judge? 😉 LMAO
Thank holy fuck for Ween Archived! 👆🏼🤎
How, how is the Ween discography so massive?
The demon god instructed them to create thousands of songs in his name

Kite Flying Man deserved to be on some sort of album.
The rhythm on Britney is so good
This is better than the entire actual La Cucaracha album

Dude, why wasn't THIS the record?
I dont understand the La Cucaracha hate....I really don't.
This is excellent...much better than La Cucharaca IMO***
Thank you so much.
THANKS AND PRAISES 🎉🎉🎉
Immaculate
😍thanks for posting all the good shit!
They really did record 1,000 songs, didn't they?
Beautiful
Woooow. Britney is a Ween song iv never seen mentioned and no idea why. Very different sound than the "regular" Ween sound
i need a live version of britney
Channeling Donovan Leitch on that first tune
Thank you so much!
Excelsior! Great tunes sounding great! Life is good. Cheers, good people (~);-}
Freaks Me Out is dope!
Leave Deaner Alone! 😂
Man Needs: more of Gener's characters 😅
Thank you!
AWESOME! Thank you
Dude I wish take me down was longer. I actually jam to that lol
Though Yesterday's Gone Away Again was an Agalloch cover for a moment
