Still loving your courses after about 2 years James. I’ve suffered through a few plateaus along the way but that’s a normal part of the process. One suggestion is to encourage students early on to try playing without looking at the fretboard. I’m working on that now and it’s a challenge!!
I have been doing chord changes, usually twice a day, for months. Five minutes, it seems, is never enough for me. Left hand is starting to feel almost adequate. I guess that my being old makes me slower than normal.

I've heard some guitar players note that on the upstroke, they're only playing the bottom few strings. With the up-down practice you're showing are you playing all the strings?

While feeling the beat in the ryrhum your strumming. Also relax, and just groove with the rythum. That's very important in the beginning..

All try this approach with songs I want to learn and improve on.
Now my ears are of good tune whenever someone plays a guitar or keyboard I can recognise the key signature of the hymns.
