I'll firmly hold that 15 DP limit + enforced 3 character limit (as seen at East Coast Throwdown) would not just be less painful to run as a bracket, but would actually enable more flexible team composition than leaving it open - the combined health values of larger teams, particularly with stall-capable characters, is just too much to overcome to actually run a smaller team with higher cost characters. And, while I don't think it bears saying really, most people who play this game would agree singles is simply worse to play than teams from multiple angles. I don't think this is a top tier competitive game or anything, but it can be fun to watch and play for side/online tourneys, and I hope the powers that be are able to encourage that by making good choices in terms of format 🙏 Though, more critically, I hope the devs are paying attention to the bugs people are experiencing and some of the more degenerate stall tactics - i don't expect or really want them to go big on balancing this game, but wide reaching things like the current state of the vanishing war and getting beaned/afterimage strike, etc affect the enjoyability of the game at even a casual level, nevermind the obvious problems bugs present. They have long term plans in terms of dlc, so ideally other types of support should go along with that.

I prefer 5 because you can make really interesting combinations. 3 you are stuck with the same shit it will be too many mirrors or all the meta. 5 you will see more variety and strategy. Way too early to be askign to downsize it the game is not even figured out yet. Personally I think they should have an in game ranked for each dp class for 1v1. But I think once yajirobe is nerfed in the next patch the dp will go much faster

That's how you right the Afterimage strike skill. Pace your movement, Ki blast, and force your opponent to use the skill up. Thing is, you gain skill points(blast stocks) much faster on this game than BT3.
I know this is late, but SSJ2 Kefla's attack actually can not be deflected. The burst has to connect in order for the beam to come out, which can be quite hard to combo unless if you can manage to get the bouncing knockdown

Wheelo is the only giant with unblockable special with little/no counterplay that can do up to 16k if the opponents close enough Also there were a few peeps in S rank in the event but I haven't spent much time in ranked so I was only C
Increased damage and different move set, but it is costly and sacrificing pressure and resources (both in not charging ki, which is extremely important as it is the core part of vanish wars, and also in expending skill points which can be used to refill ki and also get guaranteed combos in specific situations) will usually land you a worse spot than actually playing the game without them Also it makes you vulnerable for quite a while, which seems to be a bug that only allows you to move sideways during the "recovery", but not sure if it is intended or fixed in any way
Apparently the entire ginyu force has a hidden mechanic when either of them going to sparking mode they can blow right through characters that have power, armor or characters that are extremely strong and cannot be staggered after any member of ginyu force go in sparking mode they can stagger any character in the game. It’s actually kind of wild.

Some characters are better in lower transformation because of their move-set. An example people start with buff Roshi because he gets more health then de transform to small Roshi for after image strike and his thunder special. Super saiyan vegito has after image strike so people use him mostly instead of blue. Also lower transformations cost less dp to use when you can just transform mid match.

Games looses all of its spectacle when tried to be played competitively. Very good game when played with a homie and you both are doing all the flashy stuff throughout the match. But in tournament play you see all the mechanics go into play so frequently it gets real stale to watch. Also the game having so many defensive options it sometimes makes it a flying contest than anything where both players are just shooting ki blast around trying to provoke each other Don't competitive it will go on that long. At least being on TNS like that definitely won't have a main stage at Evo like some people have been arguing
The Dragon Ball: Budokai Tenkaichi/Sparking! series is okay, but it is not as good as the Budokai series and Dragon Ball FighterZ. The Budokai series was awesome because the Budokai games played like Virtua Fighter, Tekken, Dead or Alive and SoulCalibur and Dragon Ball FighterZ plays like Marvel vs. Capcom.

You do square square, react to their block with up, down, or held triangle, if it hits you do side triangle to flip them over, link a dash to the side to set up an extension, then do the square mashing and if you did it right you can link another dash afterwards to get a finisher, and if you try to go for it without the perfect set up your opponent can try landing a 2f parry from hitstun on your ass and punish you with a similar combo
It isn't as complex as other fighting game situations but it's still heavy in execution, and also quite prone to falling in stalemates for a while, but your issue with it specifically is just wrong
