I interpret it as two different ways of doing the neutral route, the first sparing most bosses and enemies and only killing a couple like Toriel by accident, and the second killing EVERYONE you meet but it not being genocide or abandoning genocide late-game, later followed up by the call you get after every neutral run

Gary, Monster kid, and Toby. *I think this indicates about Sans and Frisk relationship as friends. *On the seconds scene, Frisk has a red background behind them, meaning they reset and planning...something. *This time, their smiling, they call Sans and asked again. *'Is it cold outside?' With a giggly tone. *Sans, outside of his house, Undyne and Papyrus isn't present anymore and the rest, his not facing the camera rather avoiding it. *Sans replied again. *'is it cold out.' On a cold and chill tone this time.
The trees being the same and not chopped up or moved around much adds to this in a very odd way, usually you want them to look real, not copy and pasted, but it fits it well with this specific animation, due to the fact that this is ment to be in the universe of a game, it adds a bit of a nice touch to it.
