Donald Fagen's Nightfly is probably the best audiophile album you have there. If it says MASTERDISK and the initials RL for Robert Ludwig in the deadwax it will sound amazing.
Great to sell if you have a record shop and can achieve top dollar, if you buy for yourself, what do you keep , sell or chuck , but there’s some nice stuff there !
More record comments: Eurythmics - Touch is the collectible LP that is a must have. Haircut 100 is a nice LP (new wave gem from around ‘82) about $8 to $10 in most record stores. Human League - Dare from ‘81 and released through ‘82 is the definitive must-have New Wave & Synth-pop LP that sells quickly in any store (a NM or VG++ copy for at least $15 all day long). Just love that LP!!! Peter Gabriel LP from 1980 is the best; often called the “Melting Face” record. Contains the famous track “Games without Frontiers”. Excellent!!! Later his release of ‘82 LP with “Shock the Monkey” is probably a good seller as well.
More likley you already looked them up but the post punk/synth pop/alternative bands like The The, Smithereens, Cocteau Twins were a bit underground. Tho popular amongst fans of the old WHFS alt radio station in late 80s early 90s in Baltimore (yeah im from there) had limited prints on their LPs (cassettes & CDs were a different story). They do fetch some decent cash these day if in mint condition.
Great thank you . No haven’t looked those up yet up to my neck in records right now . My Girlfriend is from Bowie so she was close to you . Will check them out heck going to put them on the player now !

Hi 👋 The Cocteau Twins i liked very much in the 1980s. They recorded on the 4AD label. They aren't everyone's cup of tea. Depeche Mode are another band that i like. Popular in the 80s, they still are together in 2023. British band Talk Talk are great, 1980s group again. Sad Cafe had a hit in 1979 titled Everyday Hurts. Good song. I'm a New Zealander, so I'm familiar with Split Enz.

I'm always surprised how pickers use the term "mint" record. Mint means it's never been opened. If your selling it would be best to learn the terms before you sell as it doesn't represent the condition accurately. Also, not knowing records you use the term first pressing allot not really knowing! You may want to sell want you know and not claim you do know.
@@Pickers__Paradise Discogs is great. You can sell on there also. You can see how many people are looking for that album. I think if you do a bit or research you’ll find you get a lot more for your albums. Don’t forget those 45’s. I sold a nirvana for 1k$.

Tears for Fears - The Hurting from ‘83 (their 1st LP - amazing debut with 3 huge New Wave must-have tracks) Smithereens LP - Especially for You is my favorite LP from then (think mid-80’s; good alternative rock/ kinda new wave-ish guitar stuff) The Spadau Ballet from 1980 “Journeys to Glory” is their best - New Wave!! Must rather their early stuff before the release of “True”. The 1st Split Enz release from 1980 is the best record; the other releases I’m not familiar with. Think they broke up & formed Crowded House around 86 or 87’ish. The Style Council are New Wave sort of SKA with horns in their tracks; a couple of their songs are good. More than likely, their early releases.
My record player would be spinning 24/7 hours a day. I wouldn't sleep for days when my wife, and I bought a 1,000 records one time. $100 for a 1,000 records. 😊

Actually, seriously? Charging $20 for the crap records is what drives the average price up across the board. It may be good for the seller in the short run, but it's no good for the buyer. AND it's aweful for the deep record buyer/lover. It makes it VERY expensive to build a collection too. It doesn't have to be that way. That's why I give away as many records as i do.
I don’t charge $20 a record. I said in the video I was going to most likely sell them for $2.22 to a record store . Supply and demand drives price of anything. Supply is low so they make 180 records now for $15 to $25 at Walmart you can get them . What do you think a vintage 45 year old record in good condition is worth $1 . Lol

So I was very careful… hate to be disappointed. I’m looking forward to more records than the Police if you have a list & condition would be awesome. Thanks!!
@@klassicjam what police record was it you wanted ?
Loved watching this..in Australia second hand vinyl is very expensive...about $10 to $40. He would of made an easy $30 grand for that lot.

Wow! Great stiff, I just discovered your channel and subbed you up, Thanks for sharing the great music info, I mainly talk rock vinyl on my channel but I enjoy many genres and had a crazy RSD, thanks for sharing, Peace!

They were in mint condition to you handled them
I was a little hard on them .
Donald Fagen's Nightfly is probably the best audiophile album you have there. If it says MASTERDISK and the initials RL for Robert Ludwig in the deadwax it will sound amazing.
Great thank you for the help ! Greatly appreciated ! Mary Rocks
Peter Gabriel was in Genesis
Billy Bragg is awesome
Oh cool ! Guess he went off on his own at some point. I will play Billy Braggs albums tonight!
Hello! I am really interested in adding to my Rush collection!! Would you consider selling the Rush albums??? Thanks!!
Yes if it doesn’t sell as a whole by Sunday I will break it up .
@@Pickers__Paradise I am very interested! Please let me know and a price!! Thanks! My name is Anthony
Great to sell if you have a record shop and can achieve top dollar, if you buy for yourself, what do you keep , sell or chuck , but there’s some nice stuff there !
I keep a lot of these because they are so nice . Condition is crazy good . I did put some on eBay .
Be SURE to stack them flat in big tall stacks, as high as you can. That’s the best way to store them. It’s good for them. 😅
Will do !

Good collection, but the dude is treating the records pretty hard throwing them around.
More record comments:
Eurythmics - Touch is the collectible LP that is a must have.
Marillion is very interesting band . Guy was right about them they are pretty good . I will definitely play the petter Gabriel Record tonight.

Thank you ! New Zealander awesome. Wonder what that place is like.

I’m learning as I go . It’s might be hard that you think to do 600 records in 20 minutes. Mistakes were made .
Yes you have some good points .
All I can say is take your time look them up before you sell otherwise someone will get over on you check dates as some are from 60s and 70s

Discogs would help you with price ideas. Like the depeche mode is 30 ish bucks. But one sold for 2600 also. Lol

Tears for Fears - The Hurting from ‘83 (their 1st LP - amazing debut with 3 huge New Wave must-have tracks)
Smithereens LP - Especially for You is my favorite LP from then (think mid-80’s; good alternative rock/ kinda new wave-ish guitar stuff)
The Spadau Ballet from 1980 “Journeys to Glory” is their best - New Wave!!

@@alsayre3 the Beatles box is $1,000 alone
@@alsayre3 sold two records so far for $750 .
Lol
