The vocabulary words are the more common words. Maybe you could add some not so common words like: abrumado and carcomida.

Estoy un poco confuso. A Miguel le faltó confianza y le pidió a Tomás que participara en el concurso en su lugar y Tomás estuvo de acuerdo. ¿Dónde estaba la decepción? Tenían un contrato que era auténtico. ¿Es que Miguel tenía otras expectativas que quizás no le dijo a Tomas? ¿Y por qué dice que Tomas estaba cegado por la ambición? Ambos tenían sueños y Miguel no se sentía preparado.
