If I am a roofing contractor in Florida but I don't have the roofers I use on payroll but as subcontractors, besides the general liability and the workers comp, are they also required to be roofing licensed? I am asking because I run the permit under my license and I provide the material, I am only subcontracting the labor.

You don't, because you don't use subs, you use employees.
Many companies use subcontractors, but it's great when you can find in house employees! How do you recruit your guys?
