Motorola has been stepping in the right direction for the Moto Edge Plus phones. My mother uses the Edge 2021 and is more than adequate for her since she is not a heavy user for her phone. The downside was the screen was LCD and no OIS for the camera. The Edge Plus 2022, the phone I currently use, made some great improvements over the 2021 model. The OLED display, OIS for the camera, wireless charging, and fast charging at 68 watts is outstanding. Unfortunately, Motorola is slow on OS updates as I'm still using Android 12. The Edge Plus 2023 should take care of the OS updates and should be a great phone to buy.
Oooh boy I had problems when they first came out with the 2020 model. I went through four different phones where the LCD screen underneath went purple had double lines had splotches you name it all within 2 weeks of each other. Shout out to Verizon for sticking by me and replacing each phone. I didn't blame them as they didn't make the phone and I was ready to go on my fifth phone with Motorola directly. But I finally got the phone that I wanted but they took away the high refresh rate. Maybe that's what was killing it. So this phone will be in 3 years old is still a very good phone but it's getting kind of glitchy. You tap on something online and it goes back to the home screen and sometimes it just turns off by itself. Makes you wonder why it does that.
@@awfullottauchies5412 I got mine from boost out the door for $355 purchased an unlock code from eBay for $6 and now working with att. Like this better then my s22 ultra to. No lag, smooth, fast charge, and battery life is insane. Day 3 I got 9hrs sot with 29 % left. And camera is good.
I like that this phone has 512 GB storage. Phones with that type of storage cost over 1k. Also, 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches is great. Better than the Oneplus 11 as it tops storage at 256 GB and no wireless charging.
Finally, someone stepping up to compete with the Big Boys! This phone if it is marketed correctly could take a major bite out of Samsung .... and maybe attract a few Apple Sheep to leave the farm??

As a fan of Motorola, I'm glad to see them stepping out of their comfort zone to improve. This phone seems like a true flagship and my only concern is that Motorola has a less than stellar history on very slow updates. Once they figure out how to do more timely updates, they'll truly be back in the flagship game. They should also start making their flagship phones way less expensive with the same specs as this phone. It'd be a real flagship killer phone at $599 or $649.
It's already 399$ if you buy it threw Boost mobile. No one is paying attention to what an amazing deal the Edge+ is now because at the same time Boost decided to offload all their 64GB IPhone 12's for only 199$, so of course that took all the attention.

It all depends on the camera. Any company can drop in great camera hardware, but it's all about the SOFTWARE processing the images. It's a downside not to have an external memory card slot. However, I can use an adapter cable and access a flash drive through USBC. I may update this review.
Did you try getting Verizon to provision your SIM card as "CDMA-less"? I ask because I had to do this with a Pixel 5a and I made calls and got internet but texts wouldn't work at all. As soon as I told the online Verizon rep to try this(she didn't already know so you gotta mention it by name), I had to reboot my phone afterwards and a flood of texts came right through. Although you should be cautious in taking this route because even if it works, you might have to get another SIM once you change phones. Once I changed from the Pixel 5a, the next phone(an iPhone XS) would not work on texts again. The Verizon reps aren't authorized to remove the CDMA-less provision so you'll likely have to get an entirely new SIM card. I figured I'd mention this if you still have this phone and wanna attempt to make it work. Hope it works out for you.
