Thanks mate. I had my macbook air shelved for 2 months due to water damage. I saw this video and opened up trackpad cable. It was oxidated white in colour. Gave some alcohol rub and the mac is back to full performance. no lag no fan fun speed. :) Thanks..
these things are sensitive to this problem. I believe it is related to the ssd. I had to track this video down for the second time. When he holds the power button and plugs in the MagSafe without battery I will hold down for 10 seconds and it allows me to save $300. You are awesome for this video. Solved my 3month old problem with this computer. Thank you
thank you just watch your video, yes it was the dirty cable fault, i unplug it and clean it up gently, and my macbook air now and boot up. thank you so much
Same issue. I got the fan to turn on when I disconnected the battery and plugged in the cord while holding the power button. I don’t have a light on the adapter now but the fan is spinning. What can I do?
Thanks mate! I had the issue with it not turning on and always had to remove battery and keep it in sleep mode (never shut down). Turned out to be a corroded touchpad/keyboard ribbon cable just like the video!!
Hi there I have a MacBook Air 13" early 2014, the problem I am having is it will not turn on at all. The light on charger is dim green colour, I have tried unplug battery and smc reset but still nothing, I suspect could be logic board issue? Or possibly MagSafe board? Have you ever come across this problem before?
check the voltage on the board, the 8.5v main and the 3.3v on smc. but my advice, check the youtube there are ppl fixing only macbooks and they are very good on that
poor sick soren does the magic again. with petroleum fuel, which leaves a coating on the cable so the jerk who did this can use it till he gets a new cable. good job. I have found many times cleaning the flat cables with alcohol, or other methods gets them going.
You saved my MacBook! Thank you so much for your video! I looked at so many articles online but nothing was as clear and helpful as your video!

I guess it's pretty off topic but do anybody know of a good site to watch newly released tv shows online?

I would recommend keep the macbook for air dry / under sun for good 1 hour for water damaged macs
I would have fixated the ribbon cable with double sided tape.

That ribbon was just dirty - all the difference in the world
Basically Apple wants you to buy and spend money
