Their feet are freaking adorable. I’m with you. I don’t care if they bite. They still deserve a great life. Ironically my last 3 were “biters” and mean, but they are all super sweet. I just let them be hamsters and piggies. They don’t need to be anything but themselves.

It's nice that all the pregnant mama's get along well. Once they give birth and the babies are weaned it would be so cool if someone could take the mama's on as a nice big herd 😇 although I understand that may not be possible.

Scotty, why don't you start carrying ivermectin with you to the shelters? Everyone gets a drop. You may have to get the vet for each shelter to okay it, but that, plus making sure they are sexed correctly... Every little bit helps.
I did, i took it yesterday, they wouldn't let me give it.
A lot of times they have their own policies unfortunately. It’s a great idea tho.

WE just adopted 3 little girls from our local shelter. There were so many other pigs there, but we couldn't take them all home. :(

Can’t the shelter treat the boy with mange until you can get him? It pains me to think he’s being left untreated 😩 I know you’ll get him as soon as humanly possible, but he still deserves to have treatment.

Princess Zelda looks so much like my Big Max. Big Max never bit me. He was quick like mercury and loved to to interior decoration by turning boxes into the softest fluff you can imagine that could come from paper and making tunnels everywhere.
He was a fantastic human trainer.

i love that you are rescuing hamsters too. i never wouldve thought people abandon hammies and piggies just everywhere. it breaks my heart. makes you want to take them all home. we inherited my sisters hammie. he was traumatized and unsocialized. hes made so much progress. you have to let him come to you. when he wants. and when he does, hes so cute. apparently, hes MY guy. we have bonded. who knew? but hes interested in my husband and dtr too. which he wasnt before that much. i now know to go to rescues and shelters for all kinds of animals. geez. keep up the good work. :)

Scott to be honest with you my dwarf hamster Ivy Angel Rose actually is a biter. She has bitten me multiple times and drawn blood multiple times. But I won't give up on her because she's might. She's my little fur baby. She is my child. My cute little ball of fluff child. She's adorable she's ornery as all get-out but she's freaking adorable and I cannot get over that cute little face and those cute little fuzzy feet that she has. The bottom of her cute little feet are fuzzy. Literally they're funny. And although she is fascinated with the guinea pig videos. Because every time I watch one of your videos she hears your voice and she starts jumping at the cage. Trying to get out to come watch the video is hilarious. I might have to go pick her up so we can watch your videos together. She gets super excited. This September 15th I will have had her for 2 years.

I agree with what you said about the hamsters. My Chinese hamster Noodle is a no touchy pet and I’m cool with that. She takes food from me and doesn’t bite, until you push her limits lol she won’t allow touching. And that’s totally fine. The key is to respect an animal’s preference for handeling . Not all animals will want to be touched or held.
Miss Fenella, I have heard that Chinchillas need dust baths. Is that true?

When you said the crest-possibly-cuy boys made you miss Billy very much I wanted to tear up. I miss him too Scotty 💕 he will never forget you and we won’t forget him!
You know to be honest with you my personal opinion on these hamster running this or they're not that safe for the hamster. No their feet don't get caught up in them. But I've seen hamsters get launched off those things. And the end up slamming into something in their enclosure or their habitat. And honestly I don't feel for the hamster. My hamster doesn't need a hamster concussion. My cute little ball of fluff hamster she has a hamster wheel that is completely solid there are no holes in it there are no lions and she can get our feet caught up in our toes caught up in. It's completely solid. And then the top part of her cage actually closes in on the hamster wheel but the top of the hamster cage where her hamster will is bubbles out so there's room for her to climb in and be honest safely without getting hurt.

Haha cute a mountain of snuggly pigs. Maybe time to save for a food processor 😄 to chop up the vegetables. Your crazy like me with animals. Got a dog from the shelter before texas storm it last February, kept two stray cats (all spayed and neutered), guinea pig found alone are a exotic pet store. 3 fish tanks 😄. Before we had aquatic african claw frogs (huge) palm of hand size, (5" long adult size), I had cats, rats and guinea pigs as when little. Have own little zoo. 😄

Do you have any advice on how to potty train a year old Guinea pig? I recently received one that a friend could not properly care for, with my first pig he had a “bathroom corner” and that’s where I put the litter box, it worked for him. However the new pig doesn’t have that “bathroom corner” so I’m not sure how to get him to go in the litter box.
