Will always love these guus for staying human. Always down to earth, love bringing in the audience at every show, never lip synching anything. Just true music
His voice is MAGIC!! And because he doesn’t stretch his voice, he is good for life!! I love his humor, too!! These guys are the ones that you truly wish well in life!! #GoodGuys !!
My favorite Goo song , such true musicians , thanks for the best music out there today , hopefully one day shake your hand So freaking talented , the Goo
These guys are simply the best… in all my many years of loving this band I’ve still yet to see them in concert…I’d sure like to though, I feel like I owe them a lot as my life is mile-marked by their music…I can’t think of any times in my life, significant or otherwise that there wasn’t a goo goo dolls soundtrack behind it.
It’s a life song. Growing up when this song came out I was 16, but it made you realize life is more than who you are even if in the back of your mind you think they all know your Name
As a massive GGD fan...( I have JR's surname tattoed on my arm - and since 1998...became a singer on the strength of songs like this ) this gave me goosebumps........very intimate. Thank you!!
i've wanted to answer your question since you posted it on here 3? years ago ...sorry it's so late/long. First, it's a music stand, not a monitor. The kind that's used in music class, band, symphonies....to put songbooks, music sheets on to read while playing. John's music stand, for this performance, has no music sheets. Instead, it's being used to display the setlist. It's in very large fonts, because under stage lights, which are never consistently "on", making visibility extremely difficult (the set list is normally taped on the floor by the mic stand) but in this case the stage is so small & he's sitting while playing, hence the music stand. The reason he's looking over at it, is a diversion tactic - just like when he closes his eyes or looks at the ceiling or other elements in the room when singing, to avert constant direct eye contact. He's very good at looking at audience members, but not for extended periods of time, this helps with the fall out of 'staring' or being stared at. I'm not saying he's a "nervous person" or is avoiding anyone, it's just a coping mechanism that many singers/performers do. Don't take my word for any of this, ask him directly or look at the photographs of what is on the music stand from the other direction or listen/read 35+/- years of interviews of him explaining what he's thinking/feeling/doing out there to make it look effortless to the person enjoying the performance. Blessings...
@@rgoob4045 Thanks. But I actually found an interview that he did and mentioned it. What it had on it was his song list and notes about what he wanted to talk about with each song since this show was in a storytellers format. Appreciate the insight but I now know the actual reason he was using it. ✌️👍
@@rgoob4045 my post was based on HIS information in an interview. So there's not much you can say to that unless you want to call him a liar? Lol. Good day...🤭
love these guys but they didn't learn enough to not fire the drummer for wanting time off for the birth of his twins. there's more to life than playing shows
Thanks for recording this! I was the birthday girl!!!! ;)

Did you get to see the free concert in a square in buffalo in the early days ? 90- 93 not sure
Isn't he just so beautiful 🥹
Dear John, You taught me how to say "i love you".
I have a version of this song on my facebook. Listening to him I missed the whole thing
Sent to send 😉

Do you have others? Don't ignore me haha

Love this song and group but did I hear correctly? “Letters that where never send to send”?
I pick friends sparingly ,,, yet I kinda want you in my life '''??
song played 3:35
Do you have any other videos???
He messed up lyrics . Instead of "letters that you never meant to send" he said "letters that you never sent you sent"
E john rzeznik
I'm curious...Is he actually looking at that monitor to remember the lyrics??? Wow...what other reason would there be?
He looks at the monitor to see the notes, I think
