Hi. Thanks for the video. As someone who suffers migraine on a fairly regular basis, I always get excited when I hear about breakthroughs in medication. Unfortunately in reality it proves extremely difficult to be considered for the new medications - CGRP inhibitors, gepants and others. GPs can’t prescribe, even when the drugs are all over the media and NICE-approved. My GP says even most consultant neurologists don’t prescribe the new treatments. It involves getting to see one of the top specialists, and even then the number of beneficiaries is limited. You have to have tried various other treatments first, too. Of course, if you have money you can book an appointment with, eg, the London Migraine Centre which is a couple of hundred pounds, and they could prescribe a new medication for hundreds or thousands of pounds. So frustrating.
