Mecha Comic does not publish manga. It is a distribution platform, much like a retail store. What it does is sign contracts with publishers like Kadokawa and Shogakkan to distribute their manga; the copyrights lie with Kadokawa and Shogakkan and gang (plus the authors, of course) so Mecha Comic can't try anything too funny except in its subscription pricing. But manga publishers have other distribution platforms too so it won't be easy for Blackstone to actually influence the source.
Also, Mecha Comic main business is Shoujo Manga. So they really can't do much anyways because if the actual IP licensors say no, they ain't getting a thing to publish, similarly they can backtrack on lending rights if Comic Mecha pulls some stunt.

Black Rock and Blackstone are practically the same company. and companies like Sony are beholden to them, same as Microsoft. This is probably the reason why they've been buying up studios. They've been strategically trying to westernize Japan. Many companies have sub companies working under them where they deal things away from the eyes of the public. Poor people think short-term while the rich and powerful think long-term and strategically place companies in certain locations, loyal employees in key positions and grease the palms of certain individuals. It may seem like they want to make more money once something becomes popular enough, but that's not what Larry and his friends are looking for. They'll use it to spread more influence. And also remember that Western credit card companies I have cut support to a few Japanese media companies so companies like BS can have easier financial sway. The CEO of Disney of Japan has already stated that they are going to change content for "modern audiences" incense they know the manga industry won't bend the knee so easily they're going to push money into it. And we keep giving these people money cuz we either don't know or don't care what they're doing cuz we're swamped with other things and entertainment is one of the least things the majority of people worry about. And as a result, we consume without giving it any forethought because they don't want to think and try to ignore it until it is inescapable. And sadly, we're already on the fast track there.

Japan lost its culture the moment it lost to the US in ww2, what are you talking about? Biggest thing their society used to be hell-bent on but now isn't is modesty. But there's plenty of other things that have changed as well. Now they're just a bunch of people living in a dystopian society slaving themselves off until they break for big corporations.

They will now had the ability to gatekeep and they will decide which manga you'll consume.
False once again, this is not the biggest E-Manga site in Japan, the website is not a publisher either. It literally just sells BL and Manhwa, this is not Shueisha, Kadokawa, Shogakukan or any of those places, nor is it VIZ media.
@@neko_3851you are wrong, you missed the point, it's not about which company they bought, it is about the fact that they could buy companies in Japan that people thought was not possible. And coincidentally it is BL.
If you studied History, Colonialism started in one small village.
@@neko_3851I heard something similar before when Disney just started buying small companies and they said those are just nothing cuz they are small until they started buying larger franchises then companies like Marvel and Lucas Films.
Nice try free agent of Western media. It doesn't work this time.
@@ruesparade7463 They can't, or rather they can't buy the relevant ones like Shogakukan, Kadokawa, Shueisha or Kodansha, in fact it's illegal to do so via the Japanese government for a foreign owned entity to buy companies like Shueisha, Nintendo, Kodansha, Kadokawa, Shogagukan, Rakuten ect. The Japanese government keeps a list of companies that can never be sold or bought by foreigners in order to preserve Japanese culture and not be subverted by any foreign entity or foreign backed entity, this is why I say them buying a BL site is nothing at all unless the Japanese government makes it so it's no longer illegal for them to buy these big companies that are actually relevant to the manga industry.

In another 5-10 years, all anime youtubers and consumers of manga/ anime will lose interest in the media.
If this happens where do we go to next? I used to be really big into comics when I was younger. However over the past 6 years or so, I've lost so much interest in them. If anime or manga goes in the direction comics went in, look up "New Marvel Warriors" for an example of what I'm talking about. Then I honestly don't know what will keep me going... :(
Maybe South Korean webtoons?

"You will have nothing and be happy."
It does publish manga as far as I saw but it’s mostly Indie type where individuals can publish their manga on the platform, kinda like WEBTOON.

These guys are the reason why housing is so expensive.

Do not be alarm by this, furthermore they never able to actual purchase relevant company like Shueisha, VIZ Media, Shogakukan or Kadokawa, among other actual manga publisher, since our government not allow foreign company to buy big Japanese company like for example Shueisha or Nintendo to make sure our culture not subverted by outside force. Kodansha and Kadokawa already stated they not let west influence manga and it only be Japanese, since that who they making it for. Thank you for reading, I hope this help.

One of my favourite things about anime and manga is that it isn't constantly trying to appeal to 'modern audiences' like many western films and tv shows do. These corpos really want to suck the soul and joy out of entertainment.
It's times like these where a Death Note would come in handy with these malpractices.
Sadly, if it did, it could be abused by worse people and make things a billion times worse after taking out the initial trash.
Anime and manga is already for modern audiences (or rather the audience shifted towards it), which is why it started to get so popular in western areas over the years. This is just a front for them to have more power and control over media.
I like to imagine them holding shareholder meetings in a Hall of Doom-like supervillain lair deep in a swamp somewhere because they probably do.
