Hota hai Bhai. I was stopped for 2 hours in Hong Kong and few times in China and once even in India. No need to worry if have all things ready and authentic - hotel bookings, sufficient cash etc

Bro, these are common questions asked when they suspect someone . . . Specifically when your name sounds bit Islamic or if you look brown. . I was stopped in Belarus and asked similar questions but people there know English and One guy even speaks Hindi so I was freed in 2 hours . But yes looks and name matter alot. . . Same happened in Cambodia also while crossing land border . .

It's the passport strength. Indian passport is very weak thus making it difficult for it's citizens to go abroad freely without any worries.

No big deal . Actually this is a fairly routine check. Arriving foreigners are profiled on the basis of certain characteristics viz. looks (beard ) , name , nationality , occupation , countries travelled, possessions etc. This is apart from tips received by law enforcement authorities , suspicion .A summary interview is conducted and if no suspicions are raised the person is released .The fact that you were held for only 4 hours itself means it was standard procedure otherwise they would have been a much lengthier questioning .In a day there are scores of people who are checked in this manner .In case you are not aware the very same procedure is followed in many countries which are facing criminal threats including our country .Our immigration authorities too stop and check aliens entering our country ; certain categories are highlighted .It must be noted that the possession of a visa is no guarantee of being granted entry into any country .

Same happened to me when I first reach St Petersburg Russia airport I went to the immigration and they checked my visa for almost 10 minutes and then a man came and asked me first time in Russia I said yes then he took me to another place and a lady came with her and interrogated me about why, what ,which university will you study and how much dollars have you brought?They make me wait for 3 hours almost. I was scared that they will send me back so I worrying a lot but that lady told me don't worry it is a procedure.So after that I relaxed a bit.

I visited russia 3 times. Always solo . And only on 1st time i got stopped for checking my paper . Mainly they cross check yout hotel stay .is that correct or fake . And 2 times no one stopped me and asked anything . Depends on custom officer . Some r strict and some r very good . Carry you proper papers and money with you if u travelling to russia . Russian people r good inside onces u entered . If you need ask anything u can ask me . I visited thier 4 city's .

Brother same thing happened with me iwas travel last month February 11 to 14 .I have 2 way ticket and I book hotel everything is okay but immigration policemen not deport me I was wait 2 hours in airport they're check me everything my big after 2 hours the one lady saying me you now clear everything I can deport then I go out of airport in Moscow I'm going to from Dubai to in Moscow and I just staying 3 day in Moscow February then I come back to Dubai my living country
