That's a beauty. No offence but the German Sd.Kfz halftracks were so much COOLER looking than the American M3s. (Maybe with one exception -- those equipped with the .50 Cal. Quadmount).
Okay, a few nerd points... That is super rare - it's an Sdkfz 251 ausf. A; it's an early war variant from the very first model of this vehicle. Note the vision blocks along the side of the hull. Second thing is, the vehicle is being winched everywhere, I doubt if it's currently a runner. It'd be cool if the new owner gets her up and running, but I hoipe something this rare doesn't end up as a battle taxi for re-enactors. Finally, the internal configuration doesn't match that of an Sdkfz 251/6 which was a command vehicle and had a row of seats removed and replaced with radios. Also there are no mounts for the very distinctive frame aerial. But it's a very cool vehicle to see.
Nice collection. Hi Brad You bought an item from my friend Mark. I may have something you might want to look at. What is the best way to get a hold of you. I am in so cal and close to you. Scott F.
Are you sure? I mean in comparison to different types of transportation vehicles, it is loud, slow, thirsty, needs a large turning circle, there are not that much spare parts and it seems easy to climb on, thats what zombies usual do when they can. And there is no armor, when someody, like raiders or other survivers decides to take you down, you just sitting in a big 70 years old bullet magnet.
@@ThePandoraGuy Eight years later... hope you're well Pandora. Well let's see... you always get extra points for looking cool during a Zombie Apocalypse... so there's that. Can't look much cooler than being in a German Halftrack! Also, let's say we mount an Mg34 front and rear... that should help with those pesky Zombies. 😅🍻👍🏽
What are the Mexicans going to do with this when California becomes part of Mexico again? You know that is going to happen the way things are going out west. It was better to keep this on the Eastern seaboard.
Very nice Semi track. Very early second would war German NAZI Hitler and Ferdinand Porsches people's car/ small off road vehicle, Today we can see most of them at Volkswagen Museum and Porsche Museum and Porsche home town Gmund museum, one set 4 unit of Prosche Prototype 1941 Typ 877 Commander car ,1942 Typ 166 Schwimmwagen.1943 VW82e Steff car ,1943 VW82 Kubelwagen only can see at hand made CNC metal Tank model shop in Hong Kong China it is a 4 wheel drive Co in China since 1987,The owner is a historic vehicle collector, he got many nice collection, Inc this 4 war time German army vehicle. www.tankmodel.com/co-collection.htm
The vehicles that you are mentioning are all based on the prewar ur-beetle technic. The Kübel Type 82, The Swimming Kübel 88 and the fourwheel Beetle called Staff or Commander which was only used from Colonels upwards to Change the Frontline faster. So there are no Tanks on Display at Wolfsburg, Volkswagen Museum. If you wanna See those , habe to Go to Münster, Nordheide at Panzer Museum German Army. There is the heaviest Tank of all times , the "Maus". Which is 250 Tons or more.
Its not gay I will say that. Read some books... 1939 Polish campaign most of the crosses were in white, vehicles where grey. They obviously changed to the Black and white cross because the white Cross was a bull's-eye for AT crews
Brads-WW2-Items - Shame you changed the crosses, the white ones were perfect for the Poland campaign. From what I've garnered from various books, there were no more than 40 SdKfz 251's in Poland, and that's including the 251/1 and the hideously rare 251/6 models.
this is one of my favorite WW2 vehicle. so cool looking
Jason Gee - Yep, really love it too. The Ausf A especially. Also have a soft spot for the SdKfz 222, which is such a sweet looking armoured car.
Fascinating vehicle. I still remember the old Tamiya kit.

Thanks for the video. I am building a scale model and appreciate the good shot of the interior and close ups on the driveline.
LOL very brave shipping that like you did.
That tow truck does not even come close to meeting the support to shipping its weight lol
who ever bought that is very lucky to have it
i used to go to the museum in auburn indiana where this was it was my favorite piece in the museum
Nice to see one in grey for a change !!
this is the prettiest vehicle I've ever seen in my whole life. how many still exist?
Holy smokes! Beautiful!
This thing might have survived the war, but it ain't gonna survived the CA Smog Test.
hahahaha
Steve oh you think so? Never underestimate German software
Zur Hölle mit den CA Smog Test Scheiss...
I WANT ONE!!!!!! It would be perfect for the winters here in Montana!!!!
Must be an addition to Jay Leno's collection!
Far cooler than some of the junk on the roads today. I wish Volvo would make a car based on this!
This Sd. Kfz. 251/6 came from the Victory Museum in Arlon Belgium.
So, Arlon divesting its tanks, the Army Museum in Delft shut down. Alas, the SJWs are winning :-(

That flatbed truck is seriously overloaded.
Awesome.. I seen one of these in NZ👍🇳🇿
The car hauler rear end bearings are toast after hauling something so heavy!
When you want to Blitzkrieg but the speed limit is just 36 miles per hour.
Such a great looking vehicle, pity it doesn’t look like a complete restoration.
Sweet, what the hell is it doing in California? It needs to be in Indiana!
How I can contact the owner of this vehicle... I am interested on information related whit this vehicle for modeling porpuses
The Internet is a Better Research tool rather looking at this project.
so bad ass
fantastic!
She even has her Wehrmacht Heer licence plate still...
How much do you want?
I would like to have seen a bit more than it being driven around a car park on a flat bed truck.
Where did they take this?
haha no it is not part of Leno's collection.
That cant be an original can it? The weight of that thing would blow the tires on the truck hauling it.
the person who bought it going to use it in reenactments or is it just going to somebodys personal man cave collection?
could potentially be used in a zombie apocolypse
any armored vehicle could be used in a zombie apocalypse
When the zombie apocalypse comes around, this is what my first mode of transportation will be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you sure?

What it will be look like if you mount a anti aircraft missile
What a bad video! It was all about the towing company. You could have parked that vehicle in a parking lot and done a walk around with better results.

Ah, to be a rich dude...
What are the Mexicans going to do with this when California becomes part of Mexico again? You know that is going to happen the way things are going out west. It was better to keep this on the Eastern seaboard.
What the fuck do you think they're going to do?
Paint it sparkly purple, put on gold wire rims and make it bounce on hydraulics.
BobbyfromPepper
Probably! heh, heh.
No, they'll serve tacos out of it.

whta is with those gay white crosses?
We changed the crosses to the black and white crosses just a few weeks after the half track was delivered.

+JuergenGDB Same as the Allied units pushing into France in summer 44' ... Could slap mud on, or paint out the white stars fast enough.
