Quota reform: SC orders 1-month status quo on HC verdict
সরকারি চাকরিতে (প্রথম ও দ্বিতীয় শ্রেণি) মুক্তিযোদ্ধা কোটা পুনর্বহাল রেখে হাইকোর্টের রায়ের ওপর চার সপ্তাহের স্থিতাবস্থা দিয়েছে সর্বোচ্চ আদালত। হাইকোর্টের রায় স্থগিত চেয়ে রাষ্ট্রপক্ষ ও দুই শিক্ষার্থীর করা আবেদনের ওপর শুনানি নিয়ে আজ বুধবার (১০ জুলাই) প্রধান বিচারপতি ওবায়দুল হাসানের নেতৃত্বে গঠিত আপিল বিভাগ এ আদেশ দেন। আইনজীবীরা জানিয়েছেন, এ আদেশের ফলে মুক্তিযোদ্ধা কোটা বাতিল করে ২০১৮ সালে সরকারের জারি করা পরিপত্র বহাল থাকছে।
