sir, as u said spinal flexion increases pain so u rehab based on spinal extension exercise why cant we rehab spinal flexion within pain free range to improve spinal flexion ROM
Hi, I'm currently in PT school. What is the purspose of doing lumbar extension exercise? Is it to promote blood flow to the area? Reduce stiffness? I was taught that training core / lower back muscles did not have any evidence that it decreases LBP. Great video as always!
Thank you for your kind words! Generally speaking lumbar extension exercises don't have to be specifically for core training/strengthening... a lot of the time it can be just to help general mobility and reduce neural sensitivity particularly in this case :)
How come lumbar extension and side flexion that narrow the formen don't increase peripheral symptoms in patient with lumbar root pressure and postive SLR at30
That would suggest to me more likely to be discogenic where the compression on the nerve root comes from pressure from the disc rather than from the narrowing of the neuroforamen
I think i need an appointment with you!. So far, watching only two of your videos, i think i found two of the issues i have with my left leg and back, which cause intense pain, limitation, even to not being able to walk or causing my leg to give way.
Sometimes i meet patient come with only low back pain. I have no idea with it. I only think about lower cross syndrome or MPS. Could you help me fix these 🥲
Can you please do some pathology ones of these as well as msk please! I love these
