The second is in front of the bars, "Mr" Percy, we had people like that in Germany 1933-45, a racist, sadist, coward, loudmouth and much more. A person like him could hardly exist worse (here in Germany it was even worse, a great one Vicarious agent and he would have been even more extreme). But a great sparring partner in my dōjō. I am an atheist and can understand Mr. Coffey's reasons for wanting to leave this world. How can a person with the qualities of Mr Coffey endure this? @2tone753 I feel you may be agnostic, like me rather than atheist. Since no one actually knows if there's a higher power. Even if it's just elements keeping everything together, it's a power that is higher than us. It's something that can't be controlled so I don't really care. Also like to state that I've never met/talked to an atheist or agnostic that was a bad person. All were helpful and caring. Met/talked to a ton of toxic religious people. My wife used to be catholic, she's agnostic like me now. She also used to be a complete bitch and treat people like crap. Not throwing her under the bus, she agrees that she was not nice to people. I'm rambling, my apologies. My belief would be in people. There's always going to be bad apples. It always saddens me that bad apples taint the rest of the tree from onlookers and lies hide them from truth. Awful traditions add to it. Being white and living in America has had a person call me racist and others saying I have privilege all based on skin color. A lot of ignorant people think Germans hate the U.S. and are still being nazi (I'm not capitalizing it for good reason). From what I've read is that Germans despise their history of nazi. Mr. Jingles is a symbol for innocence. John couldn't save those innocent little girls but he could save Mr. Jimgles. Animals are inherently innocent (and often at humans' mercy) and the way humans treat them reveals much more about the human than many realize.

Your reactions to this roller coaster of a movie is on point. I cry ever time I watch this movie and cried again along with you while watching your genuine emotions ❤😢
It's okay to cry, bud. Shows a heart to cry. My best friend looks like a hardened lumberjack, doesn't like to be touched, and says it like it is. We hug every time we see each other. We had some hard times and cried on each other's shoulders.
Your reaction was teh same as mine, this movie broke me in a way that so few experiences could. Michael Clark Duncan was genius in this role, his acting was so good in this movie. Also, the way Steven King wrote this piece of art was just magnificent.
I knew this film was going to be hard for you because you have such a sweet soul. It took me about a decade before I would watch this movie again after the first time.

Michael Clark Duncan was so beautiful. I sobbed the hardest I ever have in this movie…and I saw it in the theater. Thank you for the great reaction. It was so genuine. One of the best. ❤
My reaction was similar to yours when I first saw John heal somebody. It thought it was weird. Later on, when I found out the story had been written by Stephen King, it all fell into place. I never liked horror but this is proof that King can write non-horror fiction and do a great job. When the sponge is wet, it helps conduct electricity. I wouldn't be surprised if it was salt water to really aide the flow of current. By leaving the sponge dry, it is not longer a conductor but an insulator. It would be better not to be there at all. The only way the current can flow is by arcing in order to jump the gap. Percy pretty much turned John into the electrode of an arc welder.
Just came across your channel yesterday and watched all of your Hunger Games reactions and now this one. I absolutely love your empathy, your perceptiveness, your humor, and your commentary. You catch on to themes so quickly and I love how much you make me laugh even in an emotionally intense reaction. Please keep doing reactions you’re so great at this!!
Lt. Dan (Gary SInise) was in this movie, he was the guy with the kid with one bad eye that he went to visit, also.. the older gentleman that plays Tom Hanks older was on Little House on the Prairie, I think his name on that show was reverend Alden
In the novel, Paul's method of treating the inmates was that they were not the men that did the crimes. He felt that the evil that possessed them for the crimes had abandoned them to their fates and now he was dealing with broken husks. It allowed him to be compassionate to murderers and rapists in ways he couldn't have justified to himself otherwise.
Omg you remind of my bestie 😊 oddly enough he's big and tall like John Coffey, 6'8" and just as gentle and sweet. The green mile is one of my favorite movies 💚
I cried so hard when I first watched this film. I was dry. RIP Micheal Clarke Duncan. I know a lot of people say he is just a magical Negro but he was brilliant in this film. I can’t watch it too often because it gets me every time.
This is one of those films I describe as “An incredible movie that I will never watch again.” Such a hard story to get through. But so well acted and so compelling that you can’t pause or look away. Bravo to the writers, actors, directors, everyone. A beautiful piece of art that I will never forget.
New sub, Such a heartbreaking, yet beautiful film. Johns smile melts my heart. R.I.P. Awwww, I know its a hard one to get thru, so sending a hug and good vibes. Thanx so much, Peace
This one still gets me to this day. I saw this with my now wife in the theater in 1999, (we were 23) but anyhow, the film broke with only 20 minutes left of the film. I refused to leave until they fixed it, fortuantley they fixed it after 20 minutes.
Aww, I just wanna give you a hug. Amazing movie, but definitely a hard watch, especially now that Michael Clarke Duncan is no longer with us. Gone way too soon.
I was crying with you - this movie gets me every time. Earlier you mentioned the prison movies in the 90’s - there were a few for sure but that Shawshank Redemption and this one were both written by Stephen King and also were part of the same book - there were 4 I think in the book. There was another that also was a pretty well known movie - Stand By Me. There was another they did make a movie of but I don’t remember what it was called but it was ‘summer of corruption’ in the book.
This movie broke me the first time I watched it, too. Im a massive Stephen King fan and don't normally watch movies based on his novels but this is a masterpiece. I would like to recommend so many movies to you, but the only one that has made me as emotional as this one is Schindler's List. If you watch it, definitely make sure you have tissues on hand! Great reaction and you've got my support and my sub. 😊
the book states their crimes, green mile and shawshank redemption have 2 actors in common as well, prosecuter in shawshank is guard in gm, also the 2 ded girls father is in shawshank too, he is the "lawyer effed me" guy
Its possible that Tom Hank's character will live for thousands of years. Just a little magic went into the mouse and it lived over 20 times the normal lifespan. He got a massive direct dose of it.
Great, honest heart-felt reaction. We cried (again) along with you. Subscribed. RIP Michael Clarke Duncan. No one could have played John Coffey like you did.
Just found you through this movie and working my way through your movie reactions. I’m in the middle of watching you watch Shawshank. In that reaction you mention wanting to know what the other inmates did. Not sure you do, but it’s in the books, which I’ve read. The first man to be executed, Bitterbuck, was drunk and killed a man over a pair of boots. Del raped and killed a young girl, tried to cover up her murder by burning her body, and ended up burning down an apartment building that killed 6 other people. They purposely left it out of the movies and I can see why. It would have shifted the feel of the movie drastically. Also in the book, Dean (the young blond guard) was transferred to C block after John died and was attacked and killed by an inmate 6 months later.
just want to say you're a really smart dude. you picked up on a lot of key points of this movie instantaneously and it was fun watching your reaction to one of my favorite movies

We men need a good cry now and then regardless of why. Good on you brother for being strong enough to not only cry but to cry for thousands to see. You inspire people with just thst simple act of willing to do so ❤
wow i appreciate your comment so much cuz its so true! men displaying their emotions and being vulnerable needs to be normalized. happy to hear that i may be making an impact somehow, despite it being unintentional haha ❤️
What a wonderful, genuine reaction, Sir!❤❤❤ Trust me, we ALL cried during The Green Mile😢😢😢🌹🌹
It’s impossible not to cry. I watched this movie so many times and read the books so many times and I still cry.
I have seen this movie in its entirety numerous times and have seen a multitude of reactors watch it for the first time. Yes, I still cry every single time. It's so powerful. You did a marvelous job with the reaction. Thank you. New subscriber here.
Your reactions to this roller coaster of a movie is on point. I cry ever time I watch this movie and cried again along with you while watching your genuine emotions ❤😢
Shawshank and The green mile weren't just prison movies but Steven King books based movies
It's okay to cry, bud. Shows a heart to cry. My best friend looks like a hardened lumberjack, doesn't like to be touched, and says it like it is. We hug every time we see each other. We had some hard times and cried on each other's shoulders.
So, a guy named Paul tells a story about J.C. healing others and dying for someone else's sin and blessing him with life.
Whoa. I knew about the "JC" initials, but I never caught "Paul." Good call.
So then, the Road to Damascus is actually the Green Mile...
@@timhotep2112Nor did I. 😮
Your reaction was teh same as mine, this movie broke me in a way that so few experiences could. Michael Clark Duncan was genius in this role, his acting was so good in this movie. Also, the way Steven King wrote this piece of art was just magnificent.
The film's screenplay was, in many places, exact lifts from King's novel.
I knew this film was going to be hard for you because you have such a sweet soul. It took me about a decade before I would watch this movie again after the first time.
I cried too! It proves to me, that the heart and soul is what makes us all special. Not the color of our skin.
David Morse(Brutal) had a significant role in "The Long Kiss Goodnight," with Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson.
I loved him in World War Z!
Loved the long kiss goodnight
Oh my, I was in tears watching this movies and so much more watching your reaction. Don’t apologise for crying, it is a natural thing to do when confronted with something like this. Such amazing acting from all in this movie. First time I have watched your channel and I will be subscribing to see more. Love you and thanks for this.
❤️
“He killed them with their love , that’s how it is every day all over the world “. Is soo true because people do
I love you! Every time I view this movie, I cry like a baby every single time! Thank you for crying with me. ❤❤❤
Michael Clark Duncan was so beautiful. I sobbed the hardest I ever have in this movie…and I saw it in the theater. Thank you for the great reaction. It was so genuine. One of the best. ❤
One of the best films ever. I cry every time I see it.
Emotions are meant to be expressed and shared.
And I'm glad for what happened to Percy.
Thanks for sharing your raw emotions! I love your reactions.
❤️
I loved your feedback on this movie. You did an awesome job with what you felt about everyone. Thank you so much 😊
I cried so hard when I first watched this film. I was dry. RIP Micheal Clarke Duncan. I know a lot of people say he is just a magical Negro but he was brilliant in this film. I can’t watch it too often because it gets me every time.
This is one of those films I describe as “An incredible movie that I will never watch again.”
Such a hard story to get through.
Michael Clarke Duncan absolutely smashed it... RIP 🙏 great reaction.
This one still gets me to this day. I saw this with my now wife in the theater in 1999, (we were 23) but anyhow, the film broke with only 20 minutes left of the film. I refused to leave until they fixed it, fortuantley they fixed it after 20 minutes.
I havn't seen this in a while and now im crying again 😢 Great reaction 🙂
Aww, I just wanna give you a hug. Amazing movie, but definitely a hard watch, especially now that Michael Clarke Duncan is no longer with us. Gone way too soon.
I have seen this movie about 20 times and I cry every time, I just cried along with you ! ❤
Thanks for your heartfelt reaction. We al cried at that beautiful heart-wrenching movie.
Love your reaction. Love your kind genial heart. I had to keepp telling myself, “ This is a movie “ and they chose the right actors for sure.
It is a true masterpiece. Actors, story. Everything. If anyone does not cry to this movie, they have a heart of stone
YT just recommended you channel to me and I'm SOOOO glad it did - loved your reaction!
Finally. A geniune reaction from a compassionate human being. Good on you sir. Be proud.
the book states their crimes, green mile and shawshank redemption have 2 actors in common as well, prosecuter in shawshank is guard in gm, also the 2 ded girls father is in shawshank too, he is the "lawyer effed me" guy
Its possible that Tom Hank's character will live for thousands of years. Just a little magic went into the mouse and it lived over 20 times the normal lifespan. He got a massive direct dose of it.
This movie gets me every single time, this, Titanic and My girl when Vader runs an says about his glasses x
What an absolutely beautiful reaction. Thank you
Great, honest heart-felt reaction.
"I need a minute..."
Same, dude. Same.
God bless ya, Brother. This is a powerful story. Everyone should see this movie. Just a big win for faith, hope and love in general. ✌️❤️ from SE Ky.
I loved your authentic reaction. Anyone who doesn't cry during and thru this movie has no heart. God Bless You 💕. R.I.P Michael Clarke Duncan🙏
Michael was 6'7". The director used apple boxes and camera angles to make him look bigger and taller.
Dangggggg! You had me all up in my feels too bro. 😪
Mr. Jingles's sudden death always a WTF moment the first time u see it. Then the resurrection ❤❤❤
just want to say you're a really smart dude. you picked up on a lot of key points of this movie instantaneously and it was fun watching your reaction to one of my favorite movies
Great Reaction! when you cried, it broke my heart. This movie does it to me every time
First video of yours I watched. I cried w you. I think you’re so perceptive about what’s happening in the movie and I love how you appreciate certain camera shots and lighting. Really enjoyed watching this w you. 👏
