They probably don’t want one of their coasters to be named “pain” since that may deter so guests who are not aware that it is a reference to SpongeBob. But yeah I agree it should be called Firey Fist’o’Pain
I’m honestly surprised how good this mall looks now. It is so much more alive, and a complete experience. Before it looked like a post apocalyptic wasteland that just has a random theme park attached.
About front vs. back row on TMNT Shellraiser: It seems to me that on these Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter trains, the back row actually puts you mostly between the wheel bogies, closer to the train's center of rotation, whereas the front row extends out in front of the front bogie. So if there are potholes that mostly cause sudden pitching rotations of the train, people in the front ought to feel them more. That's my guess, at least.
I experienced the same on other Eurofighters and I support your theory. I think being in front of the bogie makes the seats "swings" rapidly a little bit, similar to how on wing coasters, the outer seats are more rough than the inner ones.
You'll have to return to the Minnesota version of Nick Universe to ride the log flume (which seems to have switched to weekend only operation sadly). Riding that thing and just marveling at how they fit a fully themed log flume complete with multiple animatronics (including two giant ones to boot) into the park just ties it all together. There's no denying that the NJ location has the better thrill rides, but the MN location has that quality that makes me want to stay in the park longer and take it in, whereas the NJ location I find myself doing a lap or two of each ride before wanting to explore something else, rather than hang out in the park.
You guys are awesome! Love the party atmosphere you were having on the Dream Wheel. I just was there a few days ago and rode the Slime Streak coaster and the SpongeBob swings. I wanna go back very soon and ride Sandy’s Bucking Bronco.
Remember something-The Mall of America version is not only 25 years older than the New Jersey one, but it spent most of its existence as a Knotts Camp Snoopy, and simply had a lot of its existing rides rethemed and renamed, whereas the NJ park was built from the ground up by a largely bankrupt parent company Desperately trying to avoid being shut down by creditors….its a bloody miracle the park is even There, still!
Please be safe out there you guys when you go to these indoor amusement parks in Mega Malls. There has been 3 shootings in 2022 at Mall Of America with the most recent one killing a 19-year old the day before Christmas Eve. There’s also been a shooting earlier this year at American Dream. Someone at the Mall of America also threw a 5-year old child of the railing from the third floor. So yeah, a lot of crazy people out there going to these mall to commit crimes so please stay safe out there. They really need to add metal detectors like at the major theme parks so they can prevent these bad things from happening.
It's in NJ and it's up closer to NY, I can't imagine why not having metal detectors is supposed to be ok when Florida parks even mostly have them now. I mean it's nice when some areas are so peaceful and not crime ridden it's all good but right now that's not really much of a thing.
As a New Yorker respectfully that makes no sense, MoA is definitely more susceptible to violence and I hope they put measures in place to keep people safe. The NY/NJ metro area is pretty safe especially when it concerns gun safety, I'd say the most prevalent issue currently is stealing (which always spikes when the economy is bad) but even then its pretty rare if you stay out of Midtown/Times Square. Metal detectors would be a bad investment with the low levels of gun violence, there are other less invasive ways to keep people safe.
While great adventure is closed during the winter this is my home park! The top 2 is amazing and although I have yet to do the dream wheel I plan on doing it next time I go
Hey, Taylor. Just wanted to let you know that your normal vlogging camera shots had the audio panned all the way to the left with a buzzing in the right. Idk if it's on your camera or whatever audio processor you're using, but it's there.
Yeah our vlog camera was acting up this day and we didn't find out till after. We've actually sent the camera back to the manufacturer for repair, so hopefully next time we do a vlog it will be fixed!
I'm in the NY area & haven't gone yet because prices were really expensive and the mall was supposedly in trouble, like they were going to close imminently, but with this vidclip, that all changed...with many more people, the TV commercials, the new payment plans where you can pay per ride...you don't get screwed when things are closed, you just don't pay for that ride...plus you can stay for a bit & then hit the rest of the mall, see what else it has to offer...intend on going in the spring, after my upcoming double cruise end of February into first week of March...btw, love your channel, watch it all the time...would love to meet up at a park one of these days...was in LA & San Diego in November & bummed they changed the calendar for Magic Mountain to just weekends, so we missed out, and Knotts it was too cold & expensive & rainy, did not want to waste my $$, same with Sea World SD...was there for a cruise out of LA by the way...happy new year 2023!!
Wait what they changed the drop tower??? Both times I went it shot u up then took you up top to see New York and dropped you down. The drop down was really weak but I can't believe they took away the view of nyc
Despite living less than half an hour away I’ve held off because I always heard pretty terrible things, then Sandy’s was closed it seemed permanently and I didn’t want to spend that much money if I couldn’t do every attraction especially since that one seems pretty fun. With it open now I may finally give this place a try.
Taylor pretty much nailed the cause for rough riding back row. If you look at a gerst train, the front seats are actually forward of the front bogies Wheras the back are on/above..... But..... Whereby on woodies you avoid a wheelseat for a smoother ride, this instance is the case on gersts because the front overhabe weight kind of acts as a pendulum exacerbating the roughness caused by the clearances between wheels and track... The roughness would be far worse if the front row is full and you're the only one on the back row. Hope that makes sense. Epicness as always guys. Keep up the awesomeness
I just went the other day! Some cool stuff because of SpongeBob’s 25th anniversary. I’m a bit of a roller coaster newbie, but I chose to go on the slime streak rollercoaster and Timmy’s half pipe Havoc, as well as going upside down on the avatar ride and the jellyfish swings. While I didn’t go on Sandy’s blasting bronco, I like that they were able to make a ride that doesn’t take up too much space longer
a big piece of art of a view "into the world of nick" would be cool and a great place to include ALL the shows and little easter eggs. Maybe they could wrap around and have parts coordinate so that rides get appropriate backdrops? There could be a big Aggro Crag mountain! Someone could sneak a Pete and Pete reference in somewhere (maybe a little Artie somewhere)
The dream prince wearing "Chance rides" tee is insanely dreamy gorgeous , if that's his name ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ his smile just made my year woahhhh sweet ❤️❤️❤️😍
I would be so overwhelmed because i see too many things to do. They got a water park, amusement park, ice rink and more. Then they have toys R us (Cause i'm a kid at heart). This mall got everything. In addition i dont like shopping, so i will be going off to the parks or the rink.
I visited this mall on a Sunday (aka blue laws in NJ) when there was also a Giants game going on, and it was actually fairly crowded. Maybe MrBeast’s little investment saved the place? Or maybe, management is actually starting to get their act together?
The farther you are from the bogey in relation to your seat, the more you will feel the small directional changes from track vibrations. In simple terms, the closer you are to over the center of the bogey, the smoother it should be. Theoretically speaking of course.
Seeing this vlog just makes me wish you’d visit where I work since while we don’t have that big of a ride collection, we still have the best themed ride in the state and a wheel kinda similar to the one here
Gale Force could've been smoother (even after the track was redone, and the third back seat is rough for $10 no way I'll ride it in the very back for that much). However aside from the backwards launch, yeah. Sandy's is far more rattly and breaks down far more often (it's intamin) too.
I know since this video isn't recent there's very little chance that I get a response from someone. But I will shoot my shot anyway. I have four hours that I can squeeze in for this park. Do you think I would be able to ride all the coasters?
Ok I heard the motto by ava max in one your coastin through Europe videos and now Christmas without you by ava max in the American dream mall that’s great 😂🙌🏼
I lived almost all my life (unfortunately, but I'm so happy I finally moved out of state) near here and SFGADV, but more close to the boardwalks, and I have only been here once, the end of April in 2022 where there was a week where the tickets were half off. Such a shame things are staying more open now, Sandy nor the drop tower wasn't working at that time. The day I went was extremely dead, I was almost entirely their only customer for that day, so I made sure to go on every major ride because of that. Nothing much to complain about except for the outside drink policy, I'm someone that has to constantly drink something, and $7 cokes are not really worth it; refreshing, but not worth it. When people did come later in the day, I almost got an injury by one of the kids on one of the flat rides I was waiting in line for- basically coins out of his pocket were flying everywhere, and thank God for my quick reflexes, if I didn't step back in time they would've hit me on the head. Aside from that, Shellraiser was really fun!
i might be driving out to six flags great adventure this summer is it worth driving up to get rides on tmnt shellrazer and stuff on a tight budget for a day ?
I'm here right now, you're right about TMNT being smoother in the back row. Both rows are great though. Went on Sandy's twice and I have to say Gale Force is better by far. Theres a pretty bad rattle on Sandy's, worse in the back row.
My friend got ripped off by going to that place he got charged $250 for a hot dogs and the amusement park employee was extremely rude that didnt want to answer his questions. The worst part the employee was slamming the lapbar and it hurt. He said the rides are extremely rough not enjoyable. He said this the worst amusement in the world
Unfortunately our vlog camera was having issues this day and we didn’t find out until after. It’s since been sent in for repairs so the problem shouldn’t happen again!
I’ve always wanted to go to this mall since it’s literally in my home state and not that far. But with the amount of shootings there; kinda makes me not wanna go and not wanna risk it for my enjoyment
The fact that they haven’t named a coaster “The Fiery Fist O Pain” yet is actually criminal
I KNOW! To that, just make a glove world.
They probably don’t want one of their coasters to be named “pain” since that may deter so guests who are not aware that it is a reference to SpongeBob. But yeah I agree it should be called Firey Fist’o’Pain
The drop tower did use to have a longer drop cycle, where it would actually do a final drop with it stopping at the top
yeah it used to spin at the top too iirc
Yeah gave you 360 views of NYC and the surrounding area.
I’m honestly surprised how good this mall looks now.
It is so much more alive, and a complete experience.
Before it looked like a post apocalyptic wasteland that just has a random theme park attached.

Yeah I have gone front and back and front is worse
I experienced the same on other Eurofighters and I support your theory. I think being in front of the bogie makes the seats "swings" rapidly a little bit, similar to how on wing coasters, the outer seats are more rough than the inner ones.
You'll have to return to the Minnesota version of Nick Universe to ride the log flume (which seems to have switched to weekend only operation sadly). Yes we'll themed despite a tragedy on it when it newly opened
Unfortunately to when they do operate the log flume it’s only for the first 4 hours of the day then they close the flume
@@zanewebb2665 good to know thanks for the update
can we just appreciate that this video is exactly 20 mins long?
You guys are awesome! Love the party atmosphere you were having on the Dream Wheel. I just was there a few days ago and rode the Slime Streak coaster and the SpongeBob swings. I wanna go back very soon and ride Sandy’s Bucking Bronco.
I was there a couple days before you guys. Sandy’s blasting bronco has a nasty rattle now.
Launch is still great!
The launch tower used to have a spinning segment at the top. They recently removed it between Nov-december
We've had that off for almost a year. They tried adding it back near that time but it kept on going down so it was disabled again.
@@jesuscapellan6414 oh lol, I went in November and the cycle was on lol
@@jesuscapellan6414 I was waiting for it to open and the employees were so excited that it was spinning
@@NY.Coasters Yeah I wasn't working that week so I didn't get to really see it. When I came back was when it started going down repeatedly.
That Dream Wheel looked awesome, what a way to see NYC!
Glad to see the park and the mall as a whole is a heck of a lot nicer now!
what did someone lose on rollercoaster at 6:00?

Very happy to hear they added a second option for rides. Makes Shellraiser a little more doable.
What are the chances of meeting a Chance employee in a Chance shirt shortly after getting the chance to work there?
Likely. You work at Chance, there will be a lot of Chance Stuff There.

the entire mall looks like a better, nicer version of the Mall of America
This is one of the best indoor Mall in America.
Looked like a great time actually. Feeling a bit of regret not driving up an extra hour from SFGAdv to visit. Also, nice running into GPAlec!

One of the songs on the ferris wheel was his intro music!

I wouldn't be surprised if the reason why there is a Toys R Us is because this mall is owned by Canadian's and Toys R Us still exists in Canada.
The fact they played your outro music in the Ferris Wheel cracks me up LOL

Ther e are individual footings for each support. The concrete you see is merely a 4" or so concrete slab covering the footings and creating the floor.
