Who would imagine that their first album, when they were 15 year-olds, would be their best, and not only theirs, but one of the best of the 90s. Masterpiece.

RIGHT ON! damn i miss making the tv just play mtv for hours just to catch music that actually meant something, that actually was meant to hit something, music that had actually deeper meaning than just the shallow appearances and overdetailed socializing that kids lick and worship nowadays. the former teen headbanger became a bodybuilder, a pickup artist, a martial art student, a law grad and now a student of financial freedom.

    • @bellatibay6784

@@kodiejc4202 that's correct, it is precisely rage, you can use rage as motivation to do something difficult, especially if nobody around has done it before, once you complete it, it means you are the first who has done it. would you believe i used that rage to finish law, with nothing else as fuel, no alcohol, no vices, just the burning ferocity to accomplish something visible on the map? for a former teen headbanger with no lawyer in the family, like ever, that's quite a distance to cover.

The youth has always captured the vibe of the times they were in. I am glad Silverchair could articulate it as well as they did.

Silverchair Is an amazing Australian band, Nirvana and silverchair are my fav bands, silverchair didn't like the comparison, and I'm sure Kurt wouldn't of liked It either, but this music, Is so beautiful, It was pure Innocents, he had no as many troubles as he did later on In life (freak show and neon ballroom albums) but he was always mature, his lyrics are all meaningful and whose who say his new music Is "Pop" Its meant to be like late 60s early 70s type music, Its not that bad (: Its amazing

It's crazy that these guys became so famous, and sounded so great at the young age of 15. They're my age, and I was a young teenager when they came out. You just don't see young raw talent like this in rock much anymore. Of coarse they are 30 years old now, but they will never be as big as "FROGSTOMP" when they were 14, 15 years old. The first couple albums were just amazing, real heavy. They were definately one of the few bands that are famous world wide.

the music these guys made at just 16 still blows me away and imo frogstomp is their best album, i cn them a few times mid 2000's and was always let down because at that stage he always refused to play any frogstomp songs, i wish they would feform and do a frogstomp tour, although i dont think he could pull off the vocals anymore. They were a band i thought got worse with every album lol with each album having less and less good songs anna's song is prob the last decent song i thought they had.

Coz people back then were assholes keep referencing nirvana. Silverchair may have sounded like Nirvana in Frog Stomp but they released great songs too bad Nirvana fans were such assholes. Just like Creed and PJ two of the greatest bands out there.. Such a shame really fans had to ruin and twist shit.

I'll just clarify my comment. Back then people keep on referring Silverchair, STP, and some other bands as Nirvana copies. The grunge scene had brutal fans although it had a great community, well at least for the older more connected bands but with silverchair they were young upstarts and people keep on comparing them to nirvana which was kind of rubbing on to Johns and maybe some of his band members. And that's why I think he shuns their earlier albums. Just like what happened to Creed and Pearl jam. They all had great sounds there are just some people out there that has so much hate to throw at things or people you know.

It is far easier for me to pretend that Silverchair died than have to face the horror of what they (especially Daniel) actually became since the torture device known only as "Young Modern" was conjured into existence. I can not find an iota of logic that can properly explain how such a talented musician could mutate into such putrid vomit. His solo "work" proves that his talent is dead.

This song has taken me from someone whom felt alone and secluded to someone who finds light in the darkest corner of shadows. I don't care how much they've "changed genres" I still love their music. I'll always love and be loyal to Silverchair because they've been amazing to me. :p

If you've never seen their performance of FREAK at rock in Rio, well it's one of the greatest performances of a song all time..shit is next level. Remember sneaking out of 7th grade chorus class to listen to FROGSTOMP..silverchair is all time for me..way up on the list. I wish Johns would rediscover some of this angst and release it similar to this creatively lol
