I found you channel about a month ago and have been watching a lot of your old shows. I haven't played risk ever since my uncle passed away, but before that we would have monthly family games together. I just want to thank you for reintroducing me to the lovely risk world.
That was a fun one! You navigated some very difficult terrain for a great comeback win. Deadliest trap situations are quite complex both positionally and in terms of understanding the mindset of all the players. Black put themselves in the position where they were most likely to get suicided. I think they knew they weren't in the best position hence their betrayal earlier, but didn't know how to change the situation in their favour.

I love being the guy just calculating areas and bonuses so that the other 2-3 guys always has the same amount of troops til one gets tired and just wanna end the game, that's when i strike and win, patience
I loved fixed but got so annoyed at the nearly-inevitable stalemate. I'd rather deal with the randomness of progressive: even if I lose to cards on turn 6-7 more often at least its over quickly. No patience
I initially found risk through drew durnil, played for a few weeks, had a horrendous win-lose ratio of 6:31 got frustrated and stopped playing. Then I discovered your channel, learned with and from you and now on my new acc. my ratio is 13:16. Its not much but its miles better than my previous attempt. So, Thank you very much for helping me improve my skills. Your channel deserves a lot of success in the future!
I'm not disputing that there was a lot of noob play here but I feel the clash of people who've been playing upwards of a year and adhere to negotiated good neighbour, and a significant surge of new players who have been drawn into or back to the game, has created a state of flux where it's possible to feint a noob move to make an experienced player avoid you, and end up getting your desired position. The meta will settle down in time but it's perfect the way it is to be honest, lots of fun games.
Black has a similar issue that i have in other games. Dont play much risk, but i do play other strategy games. Really good at developing the board, really good at finding a strong position, but struggles to juggle finishing a game without allowing either opponent to get too strong or getting rolled.

Yes!!! So satisfying to see the green and purple kill here!!!😂 I haven't played in a LONG time, so I don't know if the game mechanics allow this or not...If not, then disregard lol... This would be a tedious process, but what are your thoughts? When trying to signal to someone like black who seemed to understand basic alliance communication, but didnt quite figure out the deadliest trap. During your turn, if you're able to, either during the deploy troops or fortify stage (or ANY stage of the turn, as long as the in game mechanics allow this sequence.) For each and every territory that you have in Europe, one by one....Highlight the territory, "attack my territory if you need to +👍 +❤️" Hopefully if they see you do this for all 3, 4 or even 5 territories they will figure out the you are giving them the greenlight to hit them all? I'm pretty sure during attack stage you can only highlight territories that are capable of attacking right? But during the deploy and fortifying stage you have freedom to highlight otherwise non eligible territories (I think!?) It would be nice if the "attack my territory if you need to" came with an optional ping. Anyway GGs! That was a fun one!
@@TheKillPeteStrategy goodluck!!! There's always an outside chance that the excessive emotes may annoy them and lead to "The Kill Pete Strategy." Hopefully it works once or twice before that happens. 😂
Can you do a video explanation on how you roll dice now versus bigger stacks? Im so confused why you reduce the attacking unit power, and sometimes take bad rolls. Im assuming something is broken and this is the grandmaster fix.
So from what I can gather from watching vids is that balanced blitz is broken so if you always roll the exact 100% needed to win you are more likely to lose less troops that way where as if you don't slider it and attack with extra you can potentially lose more that way
Hey Pete! I LOVE your videos! I’m still a Beginner but improving every time. Can you make a video explaining the dice? I see that sometimes when you attack you move the slider to like 67% or other % and don’t know what that means. Thanks!

Playing first, 6 player Classic Fixed, True Random, I had no choice but to take Australia in Round 1 - I had one territory in every other continent, and none better than a 4 vs 2 option. I also had 4 in Japan surrounded by 3s, so I'm building slowly in Indonesia, and getting my cards from single attacks in NA. Things look good when I get the 8 trade in Round 4, with 29 on Indonesia. The guy massing in Afghanistan gets the 10 trade in Round 5, and completely wipes me out of AUS, (of course he's dead 3 Rounds later), but I'm The Fish with 2 cards, one shark ready to kill me as soon as I take a territory.
