Sorry for not being more active on your 2024 (& especially your HH) videos. The short version is that I've been going through a lot this year. I'm better now in some ways, though it looks like we're about to go through a lot more these next 4+ years :/ Anyway, I've been meaning to say that I really like how well you edited the HH songs. Other HH song edits seem haphazard, but yours seem to flow together seamlessly. 3 more things of note: -1) IDK if you noticed, but I like how surprised Sir Pen's hat looks at 13:08 :) It wasn't expecting that kiss! -2) Not enough reactors seem to appreciate Dazzle's sacrifice, so I'm glad you do :) At least he got a statue in front of the new hotel (23:59). -3) Sir Pen going to Heaven reminds me of the movie "Little Nicky" ("Self-sacrifice automatically gets you here"), which makes me wonder whether it was just his time at the hotel, just his sacrifice, or both that got him into Heaven🤔
Ironic how a snake lead to the original sin, and now, through a selfless sacrifice, a snake is the first sould to be redeemed. Sir Pentious is the GOAT. I hope he keeps his happy end.
Given how things are framed, I wouldn't doubt the Big Guy being the ultimate insufferable narcissist setting humanity up to fail. The ultimate big bad. Couldn't have put the tree on the moon? Especially knowing everything which would include the decisions and consequences of any actions. And lying about the tree. Or any number of anime villain stuff God pulls in the Bible.
@@cctomcat321I actually have the opposite opinion, and specifically because of the "mechanics" of mortal souls in Hell and how Pentious ended up in Heaven. It just seems like an odd coincidence that mortal souls only go to the Pride ring, the highest level of Hell with a literal visible view of the plane of Heaven, and that they are all immortal just as much as the souls in Heaven. And that, when he was successfully redeemed, that Pentious ended up being ported directly in front of the head Seraphim instead of coming up to the gates to be checked in with St. Peter. Or that redemption for the soul is even possible *at all* , just as much as a holy soul becoming damned. It's almost as if there is a greater force of universal Good at work. Lucifer fucked up by causing the corruption of Eden and introducing Evil into the mortal world so he was punished. But obviously something was at play that kept those same souls that fell to the Evil in the world within reach of Heaven with the possibility of redemption. With Lucifer right there in Pride to see it as well. Essentially making Pride not the true Pride ring but rather this universe's equivalent of Purgatory - an area where souls can, through work and introspection and penance, absolve themselves of sin and (literally, just like in Dante's Divine Comedy) ascend into the heavenly realm. Otherwise they stay there, struggling against themselves for eternity, exactly what mortal souls in Hell do. Going even further, this explains Pentious appearing in front of Sera and Em, the Big Guy literally circumventing the problematic system that Heaven has become to present undeniable proof right in front of her. Basically saying "here, it's possible. Now hop to it and let's get my plan finally in motion." Because that's my feel: Evil was brought into the world and God could not reverse it. But he could put a failsafe in place for mortal souls, even those lost to Evil. And the big twist, I think he had Lucifer there not to punish him by showing him the results of his actions but because Lucifer was a dreamer and idealist and among the brightest of his host - this Pride ring Purgatory would/could also serve as his chance at penance, to not just see the results of his actions but to work and find a way to rectify them by helping them find redemption. But Lucifer lost himself. Charlie is the one, ironically, taking up the mantle God had in place for Lucifer. Not all souls, when fallen to Evil; it is their free will to choose after all. But potential for redemption, that spark can be kindled. And also, bit of meta, but I wouldn't be shocked if God isn't used outright and instead just referred to as "Good." 1) Because Good is more universal and vague but literally still has "God" in the name so we know what it's about, and 2) it ties in to a potential super big bad that the intro story hinted at and its naming conventions - the Root of All Evil, aka "Roo." Essentially the Force of Good in the Universe, aka "Good," vs the Root of All Evil, aka "Roo."
@@Mrryn Yup... sounds like the same psychotic take the long, torturous way-around egotistical maniac I'm talking about. All without bowing down to said psycho for being slightly less the worst.
@cctomcat321 Yeah, I'm not even going to touch that. Not sure what happened in your life where you have this weird axe to grind against the concept of God, but take care of yourself, okay? Hope you have a good day/night.
@Mrryn lol. That's like saying, "idk what your weird gripe with Genghis Khan is." Not exactly someone who should be revered. It's all in the book. "You shall worship no others but the Lord whose name is Jealous and is a jealous God." Not to mention the all-knowing self-proclaimed creator of evil... the commander of slavery... what book did you read?
Had Adam never threatened to attack the hotel and put Charlie in danger, Lucifer wouldn't had intervened and fought him. The agreement was that the exorcist would only go for moral souls, not hell born and Charlie is a hell born. Adam broke their agreement.
I used to think it was about the deal too, but I no longer believe that. They straight up killed Dazzle and Lucy still didn't show up. I think it's all about Charlie: like he said in his song, now she's the only thing worth fighting for.
@@valentinkambushev4968 It could also be that he wanted to see how Charlie would do against Adam. She is technically stronger than him since she's Lucifer's daughter. If she was more experienced and not such a pacifist, that's the main issue honestly, she could have likely killed him almost as easily as Lucifer could have.
@@ROOKI3LINKXwhat is truly perfect is the fact thst he acted selfless, returned pice of cloth that he stole from Alistor and sticked it to THE MAN Adam. In Adams own words he deserved heavens
"Unclip my wings" is metaphoric. Everyone seems to forget metaphors exist when this line comes up, lmao. We've even met someone from his past when he was alive, Mimzy, so we know he is just as Adam called him. A mortal soul.
@@JediMasterRevenantMADNESSPart of that I blame on at least some versions of subtitles that I've seen. They literally display those lyrics as "Great Alastor Altruist." No comma, "altruist" capitalized like a proper noun. I never bought into it, but I get why some would grasp at those straws, especially if the 1% chance comes where we not only get an Alastor true name reveal *and* his surname in life actually was Altruist and they want to be on the "Aha, I called it!" train.
While I agree that Alistor isn't a former angel, I'm not sure being a mortal soul would preclude someone from being a fallen angel. Sir Pentious is a mortal soul that became a demon then was redeemed and went to Heaven, so there's not much reason to assume the opposite can't happen. I'll be entirely unsurprised if Adam shows up as a demon in the future.
The fact that knowing Lilith has been relaxing at a beach in Heaven... for seven years....not answering any of Charlie's phone calls and voice mails.... The calmness in my heart is overshadowed by all this *UNYIELDING RAAAAGE!!!!!*
I don't think phone reception works from Hell to Heaven or vice versa. People are so quick to assume the worst when we know absolutely nothing about why Lilith is here, just that she had a deal with Adam. Lilith doesn't like Adam. Her staying in Heaven might not be her part of the deal. And if it is, whatever she's cooking it wouldn't be for Heaven and Adam's benefit.
I hope you get to react to Helluva Boss someday. It still happens on the same universe as Hazbin Hotel, but it focuses on the hellborn demons (demons born in Hell). Unlike Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss focuses more on character and relationship development. Not just that, but it also explores all the other six rings of Hell, something that is not done in Hazbin Hotel due to the fact sinners can't get out of the Pride Ring. And let's not forget that Helluva Boss also addresses the hierarchy of Hell, with it being partly the drive of the development of many characters.
this, a LOT of the lore stuff we quote at them come from helluva boss (and viv just...being real open about that stuff when asked directly) it's pretty important to hazbin's world building that they watch both shows.
If Adam hadn't atracked the hotel, he would've won. He and Lucifer had an agreement: the exorcists leave his daughter alone, and he lets them do what they want. Adam hurt Charlie, the agreement was been broken. Adam was his own downfall.
@@SilverScribe85 Uhh... Adam's dead, she's his right hand woman, so obviously she's in charge now. It's not rocket science. I don't see why you even needed to ask, but there ya go.
21:45 Saw a detail pointed before that Lucifer could have only shown up after Razzle or Dazzle died because "He normally charges a sacrificial lamb" to arrive he mentioned in his song with Alastor
Some people said that Lucifer couldn’t interfere due to his “deal” with heaven. That deal being the angels can ONLY kill sinners. However Loot attacked Dazzle and Adam attacked Charlie (both hell born, not sinners) and when their masks glitch that’s when they surpassed the deal thus allowing for lucifer to interfere.
Dazzle technically isn't hellborn he was just created by Lucifer by bringing Charlie's stuffed animals to life. The deal didn't really get broken until Adam attacked Charlie directly.
Your little squeal on the Huskerdust bar scene was literally me lmao specially because you can hear an instrumental version of Loser baby in the background
I hope you'll give Helluva Boss a chance if you get curious a bit later on (And also super happy for Arcane's future reactions, this season is pretty good too).
helluva boss feels VERY critical to the general worldbuilding of Hazbin, plus...just imagine them watching the fizz episodes...and operation weeabooboo. Pure delight on one end, and cringing out of their own skin on the other. I'd become a patron for that in a heartbeat.
Its been a breath of fresh air to see you guys watch a funny yet serious show and since youve been introduced to the verse... is helluva boss out of the question? Its just as if not more emotional AND funny at times
@@ThelordHayden34 hopefully they'll do it after arcane or edgerunners, both are pretty short, and it'd be a nice bridge to season 2, assuming that's feb/march-ish like season 1.
Three things; I love that it takes Pentious complimenting her explosives to catch Cherri off guard and feel flattered. She likely gets comments on her looks all the time, so being praised for something she worked on and refined is a nice surprise. Also, can we appreciate Charlie squealing in the back as Pentious goes up to Cherri? And Lucifer's "You can do this. Now *I* know it!" always makes me tear up.
@@SilverScribe85And hey, if sinners can change and be redeemed after falling to Evil in life, why can't an angel be redeemed after falling themselves? And maybe...that's why Lucifer is in the same ring as every mortal soul too - not to be forced to only see the Evil he caused, but to see that those punished because of their sin can also find redemption. And that his mistake has a workaround, if he puts in honest penance.
I'll be honest, I've watched this series about 5 times now and *never* noticed Charlie squeeing in the background at Pentious chatting up Cherri. That's honestly adorable, so thank you for that! Also agreed about that line from Lucy. The line that sells that the dormant dreamer is finally, fully awake. And his daughter, just like in the past like we saw in More than Anything, is his muse and inspiration once again - the pride of his life, and apple of his eye ;) Though I will say, in the More than Anything reprise, when Vaggie says "And in the end, if it's only me you saved," pretty much instant waterworks from me. Idk what it is but it hits me like a truck every time. Also also the final verse in Starts with Sorry after the first watch. It just hits *SO* different, the notes give me That's So Raven flashes of the future and how Pentious's story goes and just happy tears for our slithery little man.
It was funny seeing the V's sit down and watch the battle like it was their family bonding time for Vox. Val and Velvet only showing interest once Lucifer shows up and misspoke. I bet Valentino is more cautious the next time he sees Niffy now 😂
*also note nifty's gold teeth, that's angel blood, nifty is evidently a cannibal like Alastor (which given the pointed teeth makes a lot of sense) Nifty would definitely straight up eat Val if given the chance.
A thing to point out for Pentious, he didn't just arrive at the Pearly Gates, he went straight to Sera and Emily, the High Seraphim in Charge of the day to day running, meaning a higher power sent him there to prove a point that they couldn't ignore.
As much as I'd love Viv to explore how she'd portray the Big Man Upstairs, I think she's said somewhere that she won't be touching that because it's too controversial?
@@TheNowerianRaven I noticed that too. It's fitting. The snake was the first to be cast out in the garden of Eden, and here the snake is the first to find redemption and enter the kingdom of heaven.
*absolutely watch Helluva Boss, it's fantastic, and has both Alex brightman, as well as Richard Horwitz (invader zim's voice) among others you'd probably recognize, the main character is voiced by Brandon Rogers, who was also the news anchor near the end of this episode. Helluva is less a musical, at least initially, and is more crass and violent...though it kind of drifts into similar tonal territory as Hazbin over time. Currently there are 4 shorts, a pilot, and and 18 full episodes, with 2 more coming by the end of the year. If you want a good feel for the show, watch the first scene/song of episode 2, loo loo land, it's much more representative of the show than the pilot and 1st episode, which are a little rough. (the shorts take place between s2e9 and s2e10 and contain big spoilers for season 2, so don't watch them first)
As other people will probably point out, it’s interesting to see exactly how Sir Pentious got redeemed. You can see in that one act of sacrifice that he met ALL of the requirements Adam listed to get into Heaven: 1. He selflessly acted to protect his comrades even at the cost of his own life. 2. He didn’t steal. Everything he has, he made himself. 3. He not only stuck it to the man, he stuck it to the first man in existence. I do believe that you’re correct about that as well since Sera says the soul needs to pass divine judgement. If dying is the final piece they need for redemption, it makes me wonder how Charlie would feel especially taking a gamble like that. Especially if you don’t know exactly how it works or if said sinner has qualified for redemption and if they haven’t, they’ll essentially be snuffed out of existence.
while the list is obvious a joke i hope that they make consistent that all redeemed clearly complete the list to be kinda oficial that Adan nailed the requirements.
There's a theory going around that the eyes you see randomly in the background between both series is the souls of either 'double-dead' sinners or hellborn
se todos que fizessem esses tais atos e aidna tivessem de morre no final para a redençao,sera muito difcil fazer isso, pois ainda nao vejo certeza e tambem pode nao funcinar
Loved re-watching this season along with you guys! Definitely recommend Helluva Boss - I actually love it even more than Hazbin, but which you prefer depends on your taste :) Hazbin (so far) focuses on story-building, Helluva Boss is more anchored around the characters and their personal growth/interpersonal relationships. Also, Hazbin is about sinners and the story remains in one ring, Helluva Boss focuses on hellborn, the social hierarchy in hell, and you get to see the other rings. And fun tidbit: Katie Killjoy’s VA is the VA of the main character of Helluva Boss
One of my favorite tropes for a show with an overly optimistic protagonist is when everyone comes together at the end to restore their faith when all else has failed. I love that final song between everyone.
Lucifer probably _couldn't_ have shown up earlier. He had agreed not to interfere with the exterminations as long as they left the Hellborn alive. Once Lute killed Dazzle, however, Heaven had broken its end of the bargain and Lucifer was free to engage. You'll notice Adams mask glitches at this point, perhaps because the pact had been broken. This makes Dazzle a literal sacrificial lamb since their death is what brings Lucifer's aid, and was likely why Lucifer created Razzle and Dazzle to watch over Charlie.
Alastor isn't an angel. when he said "unclip my wings" he's just referring to getting his freedom back and not having to stay true to whatever deal he's made
Your reactions were fantastic; I was riveted throughout the final battle!! Lucifer's slipup towards Adam is my favorite joke in the entire show, and your laughter was fantastic. And man, Alastor's power followed by his fall? So good!!! And there are so many wonderful characters, but Lucifer is 100% my favorite character. His depression, his creativity, his pride, the juxtaposition of his power and his bumbling, it's just so wonderful.
I definitely suggest you watch Helluva Boss, it delves really deep into a whole cast of complex, flawed characters that make complex, flawed choices. It focuses really heavily on interpersonal relationships, and the ways people hurt and help each other. The most recent episodes have been phenomenal, and I cannot reccomend the series enough!
The best part of the Adam vs Alastor fight is that they use it as a good example of what Carmilla said in the previous episode about how sloppy angels fight. In terms of raw power Adam is leagues above Alastor, but Alastor was able to hold his own by being smarter and finessing around him. Alastor lost the moment he got cocky and tried to take Adam's attack head on - resulting in his staff/microphone breaking and leaving him open for a follow up.
ditto for Charlie afterwards, she is EXTREMELY powerful, but has no real idea how to fight, and doesn't like to fight, making adam an even match for her. She's so powerful that the sinners and hellborn around her were never a threat, she's never HAD to fight before, so she's sloppy as well. But, when she has to, when her father is in danger, she EASILY crushes adam in a single blow.
Adam smiling at Lute in his final moments as here was a woman who was sad he was dying and would miss him, as Lilith went with Lucifer and Eve is implied to have left him too.
@@bryanmoberg8408Agreed. 100% she plays a role in the story. She's been mentioned/referenced in extremely brief passing in literally only the first episode during the story Charlie reads and in the last episode when Lucifer taunts Adam about his second wife. And the way Eve was shot in that story, that smile...absolutely she's coming back into the story in full force. She's too much of a Chekov's gun - she's loaded and put on the table in episode 1, never even mentioned by name for the rest of the series but referenced in season finale to give us that little reminder that the gun is still on the table.
If you’re interested in staying in this world, but switching perspectives. Helluva Boss is a TH-cam series made by the same person and expands on the other rings of hell as well as the lives of the other Hell-born creatures.
There's a pretty popular fan theory that's basically: because the extermination agreement excluded hellborns that Lucifer couldn't intervene until Adam tried to kill Charlie and broke the agreement.
@@thatguy1651 they confirmed that heaven is going to be heavenly focused on and I saw tick tocks what happens in season 2 like Sarah's boss coming down to greet pentious
We will kinda found out how he ended up in hell and heaven but also i don't think that Lilith will appear in season 2 like important character, she will be there for longer than in season 1 that's for sure but my predictions is that she will appear in the final episode at the end and in third season she will be one of the main characters.
I def believe Lucifer couldn't have shown up earlier then he did. He had a deal to allow the extermination in exchange for hellborn being spared. When Adam intended to end Charlie, his mask glitched out for no apparent reason, possibly indicating the deal was broken and Lucifer could now intervene
So Lilith has just been chilling on the beach... in Heaven... for seven years... while ignoring all of Charlie's calls and not doing anything to stop Adam from harming her. My blood was boiling! And does every time I watch that scene. And some people still say Lucifer is a bad parent.🤬
You don't even know why, there's a high possibility that she's stuck there and can't go to hell, she probably was the first demon to ever be redeemed and sent to heaven like Sir Pentious. Why everyone assumes the worst?
@claritale_ we do know why. Lilith made a deal to be in heaven. And she's not stuck because Lute told her to go hell. Accept it she left Charlie and she sucks
(At 15:47) You know I just noticed something about the angels. Are they related to the Olympians? Because of I remember correctly, when the Olympians bleed, their blood is made of golden icker. And THAT'S exactly what _THAT_ looks like to me.
I had the same thought! I can see it - they maybe borrowed that bit of lore to portray the angels as like a higher power that is definitely harder to kill than a 'mortal' or a sinner
I'm sure it's a nod to that, after all, heaven and olympus are kind of the same thing. I could viv borrowing that idea. (also, not nifty's golden teeth there...she's been eating angels with the cannibals)
6:48 The pig is Fat Nuggets. You saw him in a previous episode. 6:46 Also in the trailer this scene fooled us all into thinking Angel was going to die this season. 9:26 a lot of people called this Alastor's domain expansion.
@@zoerose6194 yeah, given he says he named Vaggie (and it's been suggested Lute is short for Lieutenant, to show how un-creative adam is) coupled with the robotic look of the other exorcists during "hell is forever" plus the masks, and just...the lore of angels as a soulless servant class generally (in some versions of christianity) I suspect the other exorcists are mostly homunculi, not real people. Sentient, but tethered to their masters similar to familiars like Kiki, Razzle and Dazzle.
I think both of you would like Helluva Boss. Just a heads up it is a bit more.. intense than HH(joke wise). But nonetheless it’s REALLY good. And later on the show softens up in its jokes intensity.
yeah it feels a bit...overly edgy until around truth seekers, then it backs off a bit, still has it's moments, but they don't feel like they are trying to hard, the way the pilot, murder family, and cherub especially do. It's all good, but I find it's really loo loo land that sells people on the emotional depth of the show, beyond just the violence and crass humor. I'd love to see them react to ozzies in particular, that song is amazing.
Great details on the final battle outfits. Also, note that Charley and Vaggie's colors reflect their mentors, i.e. red for Rosie and black/white for Carmine.
@@Peridot916 Alastor is her employee and the Radio Demon. Their relationship is based on distrust. Rosie showed her unconditional support (well, as unconditional as it gets in Hell). She made a sincere emotional connections with her. The closest Alastor did was in a song to upstage her dad.
@@Peridot916 She's happy because she's Charlie, and because one of the people she thought died defending her hotel wasn't dead. But agree to disagree on Rosie.
Just want to point out the bird references since it's the end of the season. Lucifer and Charlie both are cockatiel inspired. Many of the royalty in this and helluva boss have birds represented in their design.
Definitely suggest watching Helluva Boss! Itd be good to tide over until Hazbin Hotel season 2 comes out, plus you get to see other dynamics as well as a bunch of fun easter eggs (including references to Hazbin). The music is great too!

SO so so so so excited for your reactions to arcane season 2. It's not even fully released yet and its already emotionally destroyed me several times over LOL
and misunderstand "alastor altruist" thinking it has some deep meaning, beyond him simply being disgusted in himself, that he almost did something noble, nearly dying for his friends is an insult to everything he sees himself to be, he's mocking his own perceived weakness in that moment, before turning to trying to figure out how to retain his freedom from the deal shackling his power and behavior.
@bryanmoberg8408 Same thing happened last episode where Alastor and Rosie sang "She's bound to pass the test as Princess of Hell.", and they were like "Test?". Come on now.
Charlie is most likely one of the most powerful beings in Hell but here's the thing. She doesn't use that power, so she has no experience. Adam was the first significant threat she's faced. It will be interesting to see if she works on developing her power in the next season so she can better defend the Hotel.
Here we are, the grand finale of the season. The continued existence of all the Hotel Denizens hangs in the balance. An army of Excorsists & the first Misogynist versus an army of Canables, a found family of misfits, & the Radio Demon. You can tell a lot about what to expect in the next season by going off of who lived, who died, who is bouncing back from the aftermath, who is implementing backup plans, and who is still playing against a stacked deck. See y'all next week for Arcane Season 2.
I can't remember who first said it but at the end you see some new roles appear for certain Angelic beings, Vaggie becoming the Angel of Mercy, sparing Lute's life. Lute becoming the Angel of Wrath to avenge Adam. and Serpentious becoming the Angel of Redemption being the first Sinner to be redeemed.
I think it's more that his deal shackles his existing power. It's implied a couple times that he's obligated to protect the hotel and or charlie by his deal, whether he wants to or not (and he only ever really unleashes his power when the hotel is attacked) In addition it's implied that he can't take souls as part of his deal. When he makes his smaller deal with charlie and she mentions her soul, he says no, but his power seems to run haywire for a moment, as if his entire being desperately wanted to take it, but was not allowed to. His deal keeps him in a cage, as it were.
Yeah, that was Charlie's arm throwing Adam to the ground, showing she too is powerful. Watch after I post this, I turn out to be wrong and someone is going to correct me XD. It both warms me and saddens me seeing the characters hug Alastor when he pops back in knowing he's got other motives. Our snake boi is in heaven, question is if he won't revert back and is able to stay. There is a theory that it is Lilith that owns Alastor. They both were gone for 7 years.
I just went through frame by frame, because I was never quite sure. It's both. She catches his blow, then pulls/throws him forward, past her and lucifer, leaving his back to them, at which point lucifer punches him in the back of the head, flinging Adam to the ground. She parries, he riposte's, defeating adam together.
23:10 - Yea Lucifer is most certainly far more powerful than Alastor. Lucifer is a seraphim. 23:50 - Nothing suggests Alastor is a former angel in the show thus far, and if you dive into his (technically not yet canon) lore --- he's certainly not. Everyone tends to forget, Alastor is a sinner. Just like any of the other sinners. That considered.... he's wildly powerful. I mean, if Adam wasn't present, it's possible that Alastor could have solo'd that extermination. That's obviously impressive. So for those that hate him, get over it. He's likely the most powerful sinner and can contend with some higher powers.... but he is no Seraphim. (Sera or Lucifer for example)
i think it kind went over their heads that the overlords aren't demons, they are just the most powerful sinners, eg, human souls. Hence why alastor is feared by the other sinners, yet Lucifer isn't even aware of him, and while charlie respects his power, she does not fear him either. Alastor is like...Krillin. VERY powerful for a human, but no match for a Saiyan.
Nifty went for the killing stab, she gave Adam some back shots until she was covered in yellow liquid. And they called her filthy janitor, Valentino dodged a holy bullet with her. Sir Pentius is now Repentius
Because Lucifer agreed to allow the extermination as long as hellborn were safe he was bound not to interfere. Deals are hugely important with folks like him. Once they started hurting Charlie, he was allowed to interfere.
Yes #huskerdust shippers!!! I would've started the counter in episode 4. I mean who wouldn't start shipping them together after that "Loser Baby" number ❤🥰😌

Thank God we got to see Lucifer show up just when Adam and Lute were about to defeat Charlie and her friends, and we also got to see Sir Pentious in Heaven!
I don't think it's her final form nor her full power. That black-red arm of hers that stopped Adam's punch mid air is the glimpse of it. Charlie wouldn't need Lucifer to save her if she knew how to use her powers to full potential.
@@wanderkindhatter6798and just think: Adam was able to completely shatter Alastor’s shield with one punch. Charlie was able to full stop and negate the very same attack with one arm and not even felt recoil. That last part could just have been Lucifer being a strong flier, but regardless she still stopped the attack. And she’s also still very young g compared to Adam and especially Lucifer. She’s very powerful, but it’s especially shown here that what she lacks is the combat experience.
(At 18:15) The angels already started a war. They just lost it. Also, let's not forget… Adam asked for this. And regards of his actions he failed to realize something… _No Good deed… goes unpunished._

Had Adam never threatened to attack the hotel and put Charlie in danger, Lucifer wouldn't had intervened and fought him. The agreement was that the exorcist would only go for moral souls, not hell born and Charlie is a hell born. Adam broke their agreement.
Though he definitely took his sweet time to show up. Maybe he was waiting for the most dramatic moment.
I used to think it was about the deal too, but I no longer believe that. They straight up killed Dazzle and Lucy still didn't show up. I think it's all about Charlie: like he said in his song, now she's the only thing worth fighting for.
He could attack the hotel, Lucifer shows up after he threatens to kill Charlie directly.

@@Mrryn Yeah, it's the captions mostly. God I hope not lol.
And people still think she loves Charlie.

@@ThelordHayden34 hopefully they'll do it after arcane or edgerunners, both are pretty short, and it'd be a nice bridge to season 2, assuming that's feb/march-ish like season 1.
Three things;
I love that it takes Pentious complimenting her explosives to catch Cherri off guard and feel flattered.
Lucifer truly sees that sinners CAN change, now
@@SilverScribe85And hey, if sinners can change and be redeemed after falling to Evil in life, why can't an angel be redeemed after falling themselves?
And maybe...that's why Lucifer is in the same ring as every mortal soul too - not to be forced to only see the Evil he caused, but to see that those punished because of their sin can also find redemption. And that his mistake has a workaround, if he puts in honest penance.
I'll be honest, I've watched this series about 5 times now and *never* noticed Charlie squeeing in the background at Pentious chatting up Cherri. That's honestly adorable, so thank you for that!
Also agreed about that line from Lucy. The line that sells that the dormant dreamer is finally, fully awake. And his daughter, just like in the past like we saw in More than Anything, is his muse and inspiration once again - the pride of his life, and apple of his eye ;)
Though I will say, in the More than Anything reprise, when Vaggie says "And in the end, if it's only me you saved," pretty much instant waterworks from me.
Yeah, I wouldn't have been surprised if he came with a note from God saying "Sera, come to my office, we need to discuss your employment".
As much as I'd love Viv to explore how she'd portray the Big Man Upstairs, I think she's said somewhere that she won't be touching that because it's too controversial?
@@artisticbeautybyhanako6801 Really THAT would be too controversial?
Or as other people pointed out his snake hood looks separated into six parts like seraphim wings, which could mean he became one.
You can see in that one act of sacrifice that he met ALL of the requirements Adam listed to get into Heaven:

Vaggie singing that reprise is so soft and gentle like a warm hug.🤗❤️
One of my favorite tropes for a show with an overly optimistic protagonist is when everyone comes together at the end to restore their faith when all else has failed. I love that final song between everyone.
Alastor's "You're Sloppy" lives rent-free in my head forever. That animation is just *chef's kiss*
it’s a reference to when viv met amir. viv was a little tipsy and amir playfully said “haha, you’re sloppy!”
PLEASE watch Helluva boss next! it's in the same universe Hazbin is and you'll surely love it!
The way it always takes people a second to realize what just happened to Sir Pentious when Adam hits him.
(At 16:48) "Well your first wife didn't seem to hate what I have to offer… or your second~"
Sir Pentious was Kiki's favourite. If you watch the later episodes, she is in his lap all the time! Then she gently paws the banner opposite Charlie
“Now sing at him!” 😂
At 13:54) Seriously, What kind of goats ARE these, Lucifer? Your daughter can turn them into dragons?
Magic my friend, it makes no sense but damn it's cool lol
@@bryanmoberg8408 Adam is more powerful than current charlie anyways so it didnt matter much there

@@bryanmoberg8408Agreed. 100% she plays a role in the story. She's too much of a Chekov's gun - she's loaded and put on the table in episode 1, never even mentioned by name for the rest of the series but referenced in season finale to give us that little reminder that the gun is still on the table.

-2) Not enough reactors seem to appreciate Dazzle's sacrifice, so I'm glad you do :) At least he got a statue in front of the new hotel (23:59).

When he said uncle clippers wings it just means that he’ll be more powerful. He was never an angel. You don’t need to take everything literally
@ exactly
Oh please oh PLEASE tell me y'all are gonna watch Helluva Boss too - if you guys want more epic fight scenes in this universe like... PLEASE
17:23 Charlie: Dad - he's had enough
viewers and the internet: No he hasn't!
Soooooo Helluva Boss next?
I love that hell started because of a snake, and now the 1st one to be redeemed is a snake as well😂
8:22 meanwhile me giggling knowing what happens
The second he said that I immediately went to the comments
Nifty went for the killing stab, she gave Adam some back shots until she was covered in yellow liquid. And they called her filthy janitor, Valentino dodged a holy bullet with her. Sir Pentius is now Repentius
Because Lucifer agreed to allow the extermination as long as hellborn were safe he was bound not to interfere. Deals are hugely important with folks like him. Once they started hurting Charlie, he was allowed to interfere.
Watch helluva boss too! It’s the same universe about imp demons!!!
NOOOOO JUST MISSED IT!!! Damn you AP Environmental Scieneces!!!!!
Yes #huskerdust shippers!!! I would've started the counter in episode 4. I mean who wouldn't start shipping them together after that "Loser Baby" number ❤🥰😌
I like both of these shows but the other one is a lot better for its own reasons
I'll miss seeing yall react to hazbin hotel, really made my Tuesdays❤
hope you guys continue the dragon prince in the future, it's a really good series
on the plus side, hazbin has been renewed for at least three more seasons, and season 2 is probably early spring, so we won't be waiting too long.
Sir Pentious is now Re-Pentious :p
Next Tuesday: ARCANE SEASON 2 BABY!!! 💜 ♥️ 💙
@alexthedaydreamer I posted this before the episode came out meng. I'm just talking about it in general
@@wanderkindhatter6798 true
@@wanderkindhatter6798and just think: Adam was able to completely shatter Alastor’s shield with one punch. Charlie was able to full stop and negate the very same attack with one arm and not even felt recoil. That last part could just have been Lucifer being a strong flier, but regardless she still stopped the attack.
And she’s also still very young g compared to Adam and especially Lucifer. She’s very powerful, but it’s especially shown here that what she lacks is the combat experience.
Where's the foreshadow counter?..... he totally called Charlie's hell form 🔥😈🤘🏼
One of my favorite nifty moments ever is when she just happily skips off after killing. Adam
now that we are here i always felt like dying was another part of getting to heaven kinda like respawning hitting a checkpoint
(At 18:15) The angels already started a war. They just lost it. Also, let's not forget… Adam asked for this. And regards of his actions he failed to realize something… _No Good deed… goes unpunished._
this is gonna be sick
( comment was made before the premiere started )
15:54 well she sure is dedicated to just rip off her own arm like that 😳
Darn it! Missed the premiere!
But Holy Moly! That was definitely a way to conclude season 1! Pumped for Season 2 and hope that you’ll cover Helluva Boss next very soon!
