Ingredients:
- 5-6lb Pork Belly, skin on
- 6 stalks Lemon Grass
- 3 bulbs Shallots
- 1 bunch Green Onion
- 1-2 head of Garlic
- Garlic Powder (coarse granules)
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly cracked or coarse)
- White Vinegar
- Canola Oil
Total cooking time: approximately 4hrs

Hmmm tbh i’m not sure what brand the oven was coz we just did it at my aunt’s-it was a regular sized oven. You could use whatever oven you have, i actually make this more often in a 17x22 hamilton beach countertop oven and it will turn out the same so long as you place it as low as possible by positioning it on a rack on top of the bottom heating rod itself.
You're correct. I agree with you. The reason why I asked you about the brand of oven you used is because my brand of new countertop oven is not reliable as to temperature. After 2 hrs at 180C, I increase the temperature setting to 200 C, but after 30 minutes I noticed that the actual temperature ( w/ thermometer inside) inside the oven was ranging from 150C to 170C only. When I increased the setting to 230C the oven provided only around 180 to 185C. So unreliable.
With that incident and performance of my oven, I was not able to cook and arrived the right reddish crispy lechon belly like what you did.
