If I have to carry yarn I make sure it is behind the stitches of the row beneath as best I can and I pull it as I go so the new stitches you are making cover the carried yarn as best as possible. If I could send a pic I would. It’s one thing TH-cam doesn’t have
Enjoying your videos! The bloopers keep it real! I've been crocheting a while. I have yet to find a way to carry yarn within a project without it showing. Of course it doesn't show as bad if one of the rows is the same color as the yarn you are carrying. Personally, I do not like the way the carried yarns looks, so I would change yarns and weave in the ends at each corner...and hate the weaving in but love the finished product all the more. Thanks for sharing your crocheting!❤
I have asked my husband and son input on color options. My last throw, I borrowed a 10-sided dice, assigned a number to each color. I rolled the dice and it decided my colors for 4 row granny squares. Some came out better than I thought
You will not always make your carrying yarn invisible. Carry your yarn until your color changes. Once you're ready to crochet with your carrying yarn, tug on it slightly, and it will make it lay flatter. Pulling too hard will make it bend your stitches .
Hi Tami, sorry I don't know how to carry yarn either! Your bag is looking great, I have had to put mine on hold as I have run out of yarn for my squares and I am on a yarn buying ban until after my birthday (next month). However I decided to use my scrap yarn and yarn I don't like (3 weight yarn) and make a large granny blanket using 4 strands at once and all different colours this was after watching the start of your scrap yarn series and a video by Fiber Flux. Off to bed now as it is just past 1am in the UK!
Hi Tami! I don’t know if this will help but when I carry yarn in any project I put the yarn I’m carrying behind the stitches of the previous row/round because the stitches that I am currently working on will be covered. In the beginning it took extra time to do because I had to be present when doing it. It works, as long as you don’t look at the other side. I hope that helps. Maybe someone will come up with something better. Good luck!
I think this might be my solution as much is I don’t like weaving in ends. I’m always worried the ends will come out over time…is there any trick to weaving in ends?
From the video…What’s the trick on carrying yarn?

Definitely loving the green for bag lining
Up close you will see the carrying yarn, at a distance it's fine 🥳💕
I think the squares looked good. I think the green fabric is perfect for the bag can't wait to see the finished product.
Loving these granny square videos. Your WIP bag is very cool. 🦋
Awesome your family is all so supportive ❤. My husband is colour blind and literally has no idea 😅
Loving your squares.

It is so cute having your husband help, I do the same thing, my husband helps me pick the colors all the time. He is better at that than I am 💕

P.S. I love the time lapse! I wish I could crochet that fast for real.
I know I do too!! 😂
The bag looks great. And so do your granny squares. 😊
I don't know how to carry yarn without it showing either. I'm glad you asked
Hopefully we’ll get some answers!!

I will try that out for sure! Thanks for the tip!!
Don’t carry the yarn, just change colours and weave in a bunch of ends

@@craftymompreneur I worry about that too!
