Māori educationalist made a dame

Newly appointed Dame, Maori educationalist Georgina Kingi says Māori boarding schools can play an important role in closing the gap between Maori and non-Maori educational achievement. Kingi was awarded the Dame Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for 2017 for her services to Māori and education. Ripeka Timutimu with this story.
