Nithyananda on First Experience of Enlightenment at Age 12

- Nithyananda tells about his first experience of Enlightenment. Beautiful autobiography story of Swamiji's childhood, Nithyananda's early life.
At age 10, Swamiji spends time with one of Ramana Maharshi's great disciples, who explains that in reality, there is no pain and no suffering. The 10 year old Nithyananda decides to try it out, and at home uses a knife to cut his leg. He feels disappointed and goes back to the teacher, telling him it was no true what he said. The teacher gives him a technique - go to the source of the pain, and Swamiji starts practicing.
Next Swamiji tells about a time, at age of 12, where he was spending time sitting in Arunachala. Casually he was sitting and meditating, when he had his first Samadhi experience, experience of enlightenment. He had a full 360 degree vision, experiencing himself being vibrantly alive in everything, experiencing himself as the Cosmos.

I always assumed Gurus were supposed to be super old. Meeting Swami Nithyananda really surprised me and shook my pre-concieved notions of what a guru should be, and it really gives myself a sense of relief that it probably won't take me a super long time to experience eternal Bliss :)
